HT4061 itunes want sync a flim which i have rented to my ipad
i get a message which says that it is already synced with another device?
but its only just downloaded to my computer
You have to "move" the film to the iPad from iTunes. This is copied from here.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1390
Once the rental is downloaded, you can watch it on your computer or transfer the rental to a supported iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV (1st generation):
Connect the device and select it in iTunes.
Click the Movies button.
Select the movie, and then click Move.
After all movies have been moved, click Apply in the lower-right corner of iTunes.
You must be connected to the Internet to transfer a rented movie.

When i want to install iTunes, it show that Gathering Qiucktime information...Please helppp me i need iTunes to sync my apple devices, i have 64bit windows. Thanks
You are probably running OS 10.4 or 10.5 on a PPC Mac. No version of iTunes higher than 10.6.3 is available for these older Macs. I have the same problem, and while I can still use the PPC to sync my iPod, it can't be used to sync an iPhone 4 or higher. The only solution, as I discovered after upgrading to the iPhone 4, is to buy a newer Mac. I was able to get a 2006 MacBook running Lion for under $300, and that has been a lifesaver.

HT2729 Why can't I sync my flim That I have already bought from my iPhone to my iPad
Why can't I sync my flim that I have already bought for my I phone4 to my new iPad 2
I'm having the same issue and the books I'm wanting to sync are checked. It worked on previous audiobooks that I had. In fact, I just finished the two that I had loaded and want to load two more. I only keep two books (4 files) on the device to conserve space. I'm using an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3.3. there is 3GB free on the iPhone and I don't get any errors when syncing. My music is syncing fine and the books that unchecked were removed from my phone.
I just tried to resync with one of the books that had previously been on my phone. It will not reload on there either. Here's a screen shot of iTunes and below that is the screen shot from my phone after syncing. Thanks for any help. -
i cannot sync my music on my 60gb ipod becuase there is 20gb of "other" showing up. i have deselected all items to sync expect music, which i have 45gb of. how do i see what this 20gb of "other" is and how can i remove it ?
You can enable disk use in iTunes and browse your iPod, or you can restore your iPod so everyting on it would be erased.

Hi, When I try to sync my iphone not all the music in my itunes library syncs successfuly even though I have a lot of space left and I have the 'sync all music' option selected. Any idea? Thanks
While you're correct in that Windows media won't sync to the iPhone (or any i-device), the OP states that all the music is in iTunes. If its in iTunes, it would no longer be in Windows media format since it would have been transcoded to whatever the user sets as their import preference (AAC, mp3, etc.), and once that is done then the media should be able to sync to the iPhone just fine.
To Steph, do the missing songs play OK in iTunes? If not then they could be corrupted in some way. If they play fine in iTunes but don't sync, are they unchecked in iTunes? They won't sync to your iPhone if it is set to ignore unchecked items. Finally, if these are iTunes purchases, are they protected format? (i.e. m4p files) If so, is your computer authorized to play them? (you'd know if you try to play them in iTunes, it would prompt you for the account password if not authorized) -

Trying to attach pdf files to emails I'm sending to myself. Instead of attaching the file, it copies the text. I want the file so I can have it on my iPad. I've been able to do this in the past, but not the last two tries. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
You aren't doing anything wrong.
If the PDF is short enough, your iPad Mail app will display the text as part of the mail.
Actually it is still an attachment.
Tap and HOLD on the text and you should see options to "Open In..." that will allow you to open the PDF in most PDF readers such as iBooks, GoodReader, etc. -

ITunes WiFi Sync not working with iPhone 6, but works with iPad 1
I have an iPhone 6 and an iPad 1. The iPhone 6 runs iOS 8 and the iPad 1 runs iOS 5.
Yet, the iPad works fine using iTunes WiFi Sync with my Mac, while my iPhone never works with it. Whenever I forcibly make it sync by clicking on the device in iTunes and on Sync, it gets ejected/removed from iTunes. This doesn't happen with my iPad.
Is this a problem specific with the iPhone 6? Anyone know what I can do to fix it?
If I uncheck and re-check the WiFi Sync setting for my iPhone 6, then it syncs fine the first time again. But it doesn't work after that. So the device is definitely on the correct WiFi network at least. It continues to be UNREAL how Apple will release iOS software without testing it. Yep. They BROKE WIFI SYNC. It no longer works on my iPhones or iPads either. UNREAL!!!!!!

Sync with iMac after you have already got the iPad on and said no intially
When I first turned the iPad on, I did not Sync the applications. It is possible to go back and sync the Microsoft office from my iMac? And how do you do that > - I can't find it and it doesn't drag over.
You can only sync applications which were written for iOS (ie iPad, iPhone, etc).
Microsoft Office is a Mac application only - it's not for the iPad.
You sync apps within iTunes - connect the iPad, click on it in the iTunes device list, go to the Apps tab on the right hand side, and choose what iPad apps you want to sync. You obtain iPad apps from the iTunes Store, or the App Store on the iPad.

I have an iPad mini and iphone 5s. My ipad has all of my music on it but my iphone won't sync any music or playlist to it. Iphone has a random choice of about 20 songs on its playlist. My itunes library does not show any playlists or music/app purchases. I already clicked the "Transfer Purchases" button and it didn't do anything. My icloud is turned on on both devices. Not sure what I am doing wrong... (I'm also not a pro with apple technology)
I downloaded Itunes 10.2 on new desktop, ran sync with my ipod touch (Gen 2) and have all my music on new PC. Just can't get it to sync with my Apple TV (Gen1). I have made music purchases on Apple TV and cannot get them to Ipod/Iphone? Help

I have an new iPhone and need to sync it up. Can I sync it to my iPad? So I can retrieve the back up? Scratching my head a bit!

A Dock trick NOT to try(?)
In some list of tips for Leopard I read about one that seemed useful: navigate to /Volumes/ with the 'Go to folder' Finder item, then drag the tiny icon representing it at the top of the Finder window into the stacks area of the Dock. Cool! A new way

Can't delete Adobe Reader from Dock
Sure, "removing items from the Dock is simplicity itself." Only it won't work with Adobe Reader, which I don't use anymore. I can't get rid of it. What's the trick?
