HELP!! My iphone 4 can't load any of the downloaded application such as Facebook and games etc ever since i updated my phone last night through itunes and it indicates that it has an error 1004.
Anyone has any idea how to fix this ?If the error occurred during the update you need to redo the update, as it corrupted something on your phone. Knowledge Base article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275 says:
Error 1004 and 1013: This error may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being blocked, redirected, or interrupted. Adjust your hosts file or security software to ensure that connections to gs.apple.com are not blocked. If the issue persists, try restoring on another computer with a known-good connection. If this restore is successful, you will need to contact whoever supports your install of the operating system and security software installed on your computer for assistance. If your hosts file redirects requests to gs.apple.com, you may choose to follow Can't connect to the iTunes Store, in the "The 'hosts' file may be blocking the iTunes Store" section.
This usually happens if you have used a hacking program like Tinyumbrella on your computer sometime in the past. -
so i left my 5th genration ipod on last night when i woke up it was very hot so i let it cool down for hours it is compeletly clod right know and it wouldnt turn back on is it broken
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. From your descripion I suspect a hardware problem.

I updated to ios 6 on my iPod touch earlier and had the same issue. I think iCloud has been backing mine up though. I freaked out because all 500 of my photos were gone and my stupid self didnt do a back up... But then they all reappeared :..) Maybe i just got lucky? Good luck though..

My son got a new iphone5 so I took his iphone4s. It worked perfectly with him but, after I activated my new SIM card and try to use the phone I can't receive calls. I can make calls and sent and receive texts. Just can't receive calls.
try resetting your network settings, it just resets wifi and carrier settings, no data

What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
Try:
Go to iCal > Preferences > Accounts and remove all unneeded accounts especially Gmail / Google.
Go to iCal > Quit iCal
Go to Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access
Use the search bar to locate anything called "calendar.google.com" and then delete it.
Go to Keychain Access > Keychain FirstAid > Repair
Once complete go to Keychain Access > Quit Keychain Access
Restart the computer.
Go to iCal > Preferences > Accounts and re-enter your Google account.

Like i said i can't sync my i pod with i tunes and i want to fix this. I tried uninstalling and redownloading itunes 10.5 but it still doesn't work. I tried another i pod and it didn't connect to i tunes either. Can someone help, please?
Need more details. What is your appstore error exactly? and what happens when you try to use Safari?

i attempted to update my firefox last night, and when i did it casued me to have to reinstall adobe flahplayer and adblock. When i attempted to re-download these apps i couldn't. Now I don't have adblock and I can't watch videos because flashplayer won't download. If this can't be corrected I may have to return to Internet Explorer. Can this be put right? in English

When I send my imessage sometimes it tells me that my message is sent as a text message as oppsed to an imessage and then doesnt tell me if its delievered. It just started doing this last night.How can I fix this?
This feature only works with people who have iMessage on their iPhone. If you are sending a text to someone with a blackberry etc, you will not get the delivery messages.

I just updated itunes and started to update my phone to iSo5 when wireless connection was lost on my laptop, I can't get it back and it says there are no networks available-router is working fine, am using it on my iPhone now. Help!
Reboot your router. You by chance dont have a netgear N300 WNR2000 router do you? I had one of those and would lose wifi on it constantly, Switched to a Cisco wifi router and it works much better.

i just got my replacement ipad last night. when i got home and tried the applications, there is no sound. but the videos do have sounds. i already checked the settings. i cannot find what's causing it. please help.
You may have already checked the settings, but it still sounds like you have system sounds muted.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

I was on the phone last night and my phone randomly turned off. It will not come back on even when I have tried to hold the home button and the power button at the same time, while being plugged into the computer? What do I do?
Plug it into power for at least 15 minutes. If it doesn't automatically come on, try a reset... press the home and sleep (on/off) buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
