the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

On starting up my new iPhone 4s, it freezes on the apple logo. I have tried the reset buttons trick and have tried restoring again too but neither works. Any other ideas? Or is the phone simply corrupt in some way?
Did you try to connect in recovery mode and restore without using the latest backup?

If setting up as new device does not work, you'll have to get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store.
Did you try to remove the ipsw firmware file and restore, to make iTunes download a new copy from Apple?

iTunes uses "ipsw" files to restore your iPod or iPhone. If those files are unusable, then try deleting them, renaming them, or moving the file to a different directory. If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. Creating a new user will also cause new .ipsw restore files to be downloaded in the new user. You can find the ".ipsw" files in these locations:

There is a pause button and a fast forward button to the next song above the volume level indicator at the bottom. Select the pause button which will turn to a play button. When wanting to start playing again, press the play button. -

You may be in Full Screen Mode. The F11 key toggles Full Screen Mode on or off.

does touching the home button wakes up the iphone 5S or do we physically have to Click on Home Button or Sleep/Wake button and then use touch id?
What I am trying to say is that each time I have to click on the home button to wake up the iphone 5s and then it scans my print and logs me in the phone however I was hoping that by just putting the finger on the button will do the whole thing of waking up + unlocking the phone,
Can anyone please let me know if I am wrong or if I am right? since I just bought iphone 5s and I am not sure if the sensor is working or not the way it should be.It sounds like it is working the way it should be. You do have to click one of the two buttons. The closest thing to doing it as a single operation is to click the Home button but don't remove your finger from the button (i.e., leave your finger lightly on the button immediately after clicking it).

I just upgraded macbook to SnowLeopard 10.6.3 and now itunes won't recognize my iphone. I tried turning everything off and restarting. I have the latest version of itunes. If I have to reset the phone (and ipod touch), what does that mean? Will I lose anything? How long will it take? thanks
Start iTunes. Make sure you really are running the version you think you are. Sometimes people end up with two copies, different versions.

You say you are running Snow Leopard 10.6.3. That version will not run the latest iTunes which requires 10.6.8 If you need iTunes 10.7 you have to be running 10.6.8

The power supply is shot. But that it lasted even this long is the wonder.. not that it died.
The TC runs too hot..
Look on ebay for "Time Capsule power supply"
You can get a replacement and fix it although the economics are not so good.. it is probably time for a new TC.
If you can DIY it is really only a few dollars worth of capacitors that go bad.

Tried to mirror my iPad to the tv and got sound but no picture. Can run videos but cannot see I pad screen. Looked on support and it said touch the mirror button but I have no mirror button. What am I missing

My new iPhone 4s will not recognise my TomTom car kit, so I cannot use any of my 3 TomTom apps, nor does it give me handsfree as before. It will not pair, although I have held in the reset button until it beeps, then entered my PIN when instructed. It also sometimes gives the message that this device is not supported by iPhone (although I have been using it for several years) with my UK and Ireland, Western Europe, and USA and Canada apps. Just replaced my 4 with a 4S rather than a 5, which won't fit the mounting kit.
From their web site Tom Tom actually offered a converter kit at one point however all it was a 3mm thick bit of plastic with a self adhesive tape backing!

You need to use the credentials for the iCloud account that was used to turn on the Find my iPhone service.

If you've been walking around for 2 years with someone else's account set up for Find my iphone, then you'll have to get hold of that individual. If you can't, there is no way to bypass activation lock.
