trying to restore a 3gs. keep getting 'activation server is temporarily un available'
Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

I get error messages all the time with my iPod and iPhone that it cannot sync and that 'this device is not capapble of connecting to iTunes' stuff. I literally forget that happened, plug it in again and it works, I later realize that iTunes made a mistake, they do that.

I updated my software. Somewhere things went wrong. If i turn on my phone i am asked to activate it. When i try this it fails and i get message saying activation server is unavailable. This is a sign that your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken. You need a sim from the original carrier the iPhone is locked to, to activate.

HT1414 Iphone 3G restarts right in the middle of restore so I keep getting unknown error message.
Hey everyone, I have an old school Iphone 3G, it restarts itself right in the middle of a restoration so I keep getting unknown error message. I don't know why but no matter what usb port I plug it into, the white bar underneat the Apple logo on the iphone will get right close to the end but then like I stated earlier the phone restarts randomly, so it won't let me restore the product because it keeps getting reset by itself.

I even tried this on a iMac with similar results. The only difference was that the errorcode was called 2001 instead of 21.
Today I took the phone to www.iphoneambulancen.dk. A guy (in Aarhus, Denmark) that specializes in iPhone repairs. I figured, that given his occupation he'd seen most errorcdes. Two hours later, he called me back, and told me that he had replaced the battery.
So, it turns out that a broken battery can cause this behaviour.

If you dont have none option then you must own itunes some money. So you have to enter the payment like a itunes giftcard. you can contact itunes by email by going to expresslane.apple.com

I am trying to uninstall itunes and keep getting an error that reads "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." Itunes on windows. Help!
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I tried to update itunes and keep getting these messages..the older version of Bonjour cannot be removed..and The older version of Apple software update cannot be removed. How do i fix this does anyone know? I recently got an IPhone 4 and don't understand all this stuff yet. Thanks
