Do you have a question ? Not all content is available for re-downloading e.g. if the content provider (or Apple) removes them from the store, and there are also some film studios (in countries where film re-downlaoding is possible) who haven't agreed to allow their films to be re-downloaded.

This is ONE of the MANY reasons, I have held off on getting and iPhone. Because the ONLY option in getting the music onto it, is by using itunes, instead of just being able to drag and drop. This is annoying as F***.
I paid for and downloaded a ringtone from the iTunes store. It was working fine. Then I hoooked up my iphone to my bf's laptop, competely forgetting that it had already been synced to MINE, which is broken and toasted. For some reason, it deleted everything off my phone, I spent 3 hours trying to figure out how the **** to get music back onto my iphone using itunes. It's NOT a user friendly program, and being a computer savvy as I am.....I HATE USING IT. But unfortunately, I don't have a choice. So, I was able to get the two ringtones that I created with my free ringtone maker app BACK into my phone. But go figure, the one that I actually paid for, I can't get back on. It was in my itunes, and on my iphone...but had the exclmation mark beside it. I have already gone to the support page and followed the instructions for retrieving it. I have manually deleted it from my computer SINCE this discovery, by deleting it from itunes. So....to make sure yall are understanding this...I tried tracking it down by searching my computer....and I couldn't find it, although it was still listened on BOTH my itunes on my laptop AND in my iphone. I trued to manually delete it from the iphone....wouldn't work. So i manually deleted it from itunes.
My question is this....
HOW ON GODS GREEN EARTH DO I GET IT BACK!!!!????
It's only $1.29 canadian, but man, this program is ******* me off to no end.
It's stupid that Apple has completely restricted us. -sighs gritting her teeth- I just want my ring tone back. That's it. I can't even figure out how to redownload it....or if I can even do that.

CERNever mind I fixed it. Just in case anyone else has this problem, after you reinstall iTunes you have to delete all your old music, and if you have iTunes match all the songs you have saved on itunes match will display and you just have to download them to your Macbook.

HT5085 When will music be available from iTunes in the iCloud for my country?
Like it says on the tin.
I live in Norway, and just recently discovered the iTunes in the iCloud feature while moving stuff from one failing computer to the next. I've managed to salvage most of my purchased tracks thanks to the copies on my iPhone, but sadly some are irretrievably lost. At least until I can download them again - not too keen on buying them a second time though.
So: Can we hope to see this feature made available to our region in the near future?

On the weekend I downloaded the audio book for the first Foundation novel by Issac Asimov. All of the first four books in the series were available to buy when I browsed through the available books. I went back today on monday to download the next book (Second Foundation) and it was not listed as available, but books 3 and 4 were still listed? I went back 2 hours later to see if the second book would show up and now all 4 are not listed?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Time Capsule network and IOS devices
I have a time capsule set up to run my wireless network. Two iMac computers both see and recognize the network. A PC does not see it. An older Macbook does not see it. Additionally, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones do not see the network and can not join it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
The PC and iOS devices... can fail for a number of reasons.. but this usually fixes it.
1. Change the TC and wireless names to SMB type.. ie so the PC will work. Short, no spaces.. pure alphanumeric. I recommend making the 5ghz name different to the 2.4ghz name.
2. Fix the channel used by 2.4ghz.. do not leave it auto.. there are only three channels that do not overlap, 1, 6, 11. Pick one.. if you don't get good signal pick another. I would suggest you start from 11.
3. Use WPA2 Personal security with a 8-12 character passkey. Again pure alphanumeric.
If you still have trouble..give more info about your network..
what broadband type and modem you have?
What mode the TC is in, router or bridge?
Are you testing the iOS devices close up? Do not expect too much range on the TC. -
Cisco-avpair for both NX-OS and IOS
Using freeradius2-2.1.12. I need to setup read-write access for both Cisco NX-OS and IOS devices. I did the following,

I can log into both NX-OS and IOS devices; however, IOS devices only permits exec mode not the privileged exec (enable) mode.
Is there a different syntax that can make this work for both NX-OS and IOS?
NormanAs you have noticed IOS and NX-OS are a little bit different. With NX-OS there isn't a "disabled" mode but just netowrk roles. For IOS can try pushing for example "cisco-avpair =shell:priv-lvl=7" and then define a local priv level 7 on the network device with the needed commands

The problem that have started when I was going to sync my iPhone 4 with current iTunes running on 64bit Windows 7.
I started iTunes and plugged in my iPhone.
All looked good and the iPhone came up as the device as it should have.
Next I wanted to transfer purchases prior to syncing so I started the Transfer Purchases process.
iTunes stopped working during the Transfer Purchases process
Now when I plug in my iPhone iTunes takes me to the “setup your iPhone” screen and displays “This computer has previously been synced with an iPhone or another iOS device” and only allows me to restore and old backup or setup as new.
Obviously some files were not closed properly when iTunes crashed during the transfer purchases process, how can I cleanup iTunes so that it will allow me to backup and sync my phone.
I am a software developer and am sure that a fix is not in the menu options What I am saying is that I can easily remove or edit corrupt files to get it working.
Thanks, MikeThe error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS. -
Selective use of iCloud with multiple laptops, multiple iPods and iOS devices?
I haven't brought my MBP13 to Lion yet. I do have an MBA that runs Lion. I have hesitated to take the MBP to Lion and set up iCloud because I just don't understand what the options are for selective "sync" of various sorts of data among one or more Macs, their iPods and iOS devices. The material I can find so far does not in any way make it clear to me in advance what sort of selectivity will be offered if I turn on iCloud.
Aside from that my DSL connection does not offer a stellar download rate, and I live in a dead zone for cellular signals, so I do not operate in an "always on" state. I turn on my laptop's WiFi or plug in an ethernet cable a few times a day and similarly might turn on a mobile device a few times. Past that, I'm offline. I've lived like that with my Apple gear for 30 years and that's just how it is for people in rural areas of the USA.
All or most of my so-called "syncs" are the manual sort. I pick out what info I want on any device and drag it there after connecting the devices. If something I want on a mobile device can't be dragged there, or the alternative dread "sync" doesn't offer enough selectivity, I just settle for not having whatever that item is on whatever that device is, assuming I can't figure out a way to hammer the system into letting me get it on there (like temporarily adding movies to my main library from a separate library and external drive, then drag to the iPad, then eject the iPad and delete the movie listings from the main library to reduce the clutter again).
So. I don't keep ALL of my various types of data (mail, music, movies, notes, PDF files, app data) on ANY of my devices. I couldn't make them fit, and I wouldn't want them all on everything anyway. I don't always even keep any mail setups on a particular mobile device. I might have one there for a particular time frame, say over a weekend, and then disable or delete it. That works fine for me. I shudder to think what would happen if I had an iCloud setup and did that. I have visions of my entire mail setup on one of my laptops being deleted if I delete it from an iOS device...
Beyond unwanted deletion? Unwanted addition! The last thing on earth I would ever want to do is set up iCloud and then find out that it wants to stash hundreds of GB of movies, hundreds of PDFs, thousands of music tracks, etc., on, say, my original iPhone that I still use as a WiFi device and occasionally add a few tracks of music to, or change up its playlists. Not to mention what would happen if it tried to stash all my stuff on some unsuspecting little iPod touch used just for audiobooks.
I am afraid that iCloud will work like the dread "transfer purchases" thing works now. The "transfer purchases" doesn't let me say WHAT purchases to transfer. There's no way I want a movie I have managed to take from a secondary iTunes library onto an iPad transferred "back" to my iPhone or my MBA or to ANYTHING just because I turn some device I own in order to check the weather. Maybe I never purchased that movie on the iPad. Just because it's not on the main library any more doesn't mean I want it to be there, either.
So how can find out ahead of time how iCloud is going to work for someone with lots of different types of data on several laptops where all the so-called "syncs" at present are as manual as I have been able to make them?
Or can someone just tell me hey you know what, iCloud is not designed for you, just don't go there.
Either way I'll be grateful for some help here. Sure I can clone my laptops and then back up all the iOS devices and copy those backups to externals, and then turn on iCloud and hammer on my stuff for two days to see what happens. But why should i do that if someone can say up front that iCloud is or is not set up for highly selective sync options?iCloud does not sync movies or general files, so that problem doesn't arise.

SyncSafari Bookmarks (though not display them on the iCloud website)
Sync Contacts
Sync photos added to or taken on one device onto other devices
Access @me.com email
Sync iWork documents only between your Mac and iOS5 devices - automatically from iOS devices by by dragging individual documents from a Mac to the iCloud website (and the cannot be re-downloaded until they have been edited on an iOS device)
Each of these can be turned on or off on each device; you cannot selectively sync within one data type - i.e. it's all or no Contacts, not a selection, and so on. -
Some songs are not longer available and an ! exclamation mark appears before the song in iTunes. What should I do?
When you open iTunes it opens a database file that contains the locations of the media files you use to play the music. If something has happened to invalidate where iTunes thinks that file is stored you get a ! There are many possible reasons. Sometimes a computer can start to lose files. In other situations it is something you did such as renaming a folder or drive iTunes uses, or moving the files manually. If you can give us hints we can start working our way down the long list.

my ipod nano4th gen will not download the purchased songs in itunes v11. Just upgraded to mac 10.6.8-won't synch new songs since this upgrade. The ipod is seen in the itunes as the devise, and the nano screens says synching when plugged into the macmini usb port, but the itunes window does not say it is synching like it has before so whats the culprit? Techno virgin in distress!
PS - I added an iphone5 which is whay these upgrades happened so this synching to the ipod error is since the iphone began synching.I just learn in some post that the most common lapses in syncing is not checking if "sync music" in music section of the ipod is ticked. So double check if it is. Cheers!

Help with Spry, acting weird in Mac Os 10.5 10.6, 10.7 and Ios Devices
I use Dreamweaver CS4 for designing our school website. The url is http://www.stpiusxschool.org
The menu bar on the left is built with a Spry Asset, it is to expand to different choices on some of the lines. The issue started about a month ago, if I click on the first item that should expand out (Parent Resources) it will not expand out, then I choose the second one (Student Resources) it expands out, I go back to Parent Resources and it will expand....this happen on Mac 10.5 and Ios Devices (Ipad, and Iphone)
On Mac 10.6 menu bars will never expand out.
I have tried many things, I have ran the Spry Updater and uploaded those files. I have built a page outside of my site, it appears to work ok, then copied that Spry Asset folder into the site, no luck.
I have built a second spry on a test page within the site, and tried it out, it doesn't seem to work correct either. It can be accessed off the main page mentioned above, scroll to the bottom and click on test, that is just what it is a test page.
School is starting soon and this site is used a lot for resources during the day.
I have called Adobe and got no where with them but that even took hours.
If someone could help me out that would be awesome.
By the way, I know nothing about coding itself.

iTunes shows the music and audiobooks I've loaded to my iPod Touch, but they do not show up when I try to play them. I reconnect to iTunes and it shows the music and books as being loaded on my iPod.
Sometimes the audiobook will play, then disappear from iPod's play menu after I reconnect to iTunes and load more music. I've got plenty of free memory, and iTunes shows the files still on iPod.
....or should I just roll it back to iOS 5... never had these kinds of issues with the old OS.Try:

How do I download previously purchased albums from iTunes when the album has either disappeared from my computer or the tunes are not playable? The albums show as purchased on the iTunes store, but not available to download to my authorized device. I also have albums that appear in my library, but are not able to be added to my iPod from my computer
When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.
