HT4095 My rented movies are not downloading

I'm trying to download a movie and it has been stuck at processing what should I do?

This problem was sorted for me recently by Apple tech support. It occurs because you have insufficient space remaining to download the film the processing part requires as much space as the film so in other words if the film uses 3.5 you need to have 7.0 of space before you start. Once the download is completed the final space used will only be 3.5.
To solve the problem make sure all important files are switched on in Settings and save to icloud. Then go to reset to factory settings which will delete them from the ipad. You will then need to retrieve the files from icloud.
My advice would be to phone apple technical support for free and they will do it with you. Good luck.

The fact that I logged into an apple.com site fooled me to believe that this was a 'report a problem' site.
I since found the 'report a problem' link.
Wasn't easy to find (could not find it on my apple TV or iPad) had to:
log into iTunes via laptop, and then
click on iTunes Store (right top);
click on account (quick link or at bottom);
select "see all' next to purchase history;
click on small arrow next to 'problem' purchase (movie rental for me);
click on 'report a problem' (at bottom);
click on 'report a problem again (now inside the purchase details) - redirect to browse
fill in details, and
submit.
As you can see quite a long process.
The long process and my missed movie night were the frustrating parts.
The reponse from Apple Customer Support was swift and extremely good - makes up for the frustration.

On my Apple Tv, the movies are not downloading, what next?

I have used Apple TV for over a month, choose a movie and it downloads, today it is not doing, despite having tried so many things, even checking the credit card setting. Feel very frustrated.... Any advice on how to have the movies downloading again?

Is there an error?
Best to check the network, below are some common area to look into
Current connection, use speedtest.net
DNS, should be on automatic (settinga - general - network)
If on wifi try ethernet
Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

HT1657 rented movie will not download to mac

rented a movie from itunes and it will not download to Mac. Keep getting an error message when I try to open it to watch on the MAc. Any help??

How large is the film ? It's size should be on its decription page in the store. The current 'top film' here in the UK is 5.12 gig in HD format.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Rented movies are not appearing in Videos app

I rented 2 movies on my iPad and neither of them are showing up in the Videos app.
iTunes tells me I've already rented the movies but I can't find them anywhere on my iPad.
Any ideas?

A long shot, but try restarting your iPad (hold down the Sleep button until you get the red "swipe to power off" button, do so, and start it back up). That sometimes gets the files to appear. If not, and no one else here has other suggestions, go here:
iTunes Support
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

My movies are not downloading

I have wasted most of my evening trying to get two movies to download on iTunes. I have never had this problem before. They are coming up as 'watch' when I go into iTunes but then there are two grey boxes where the video front covers should be when I go into videos. Do you know what I should do?

I used to be able to view all cloud and downloaded content. I no longer can.

There used to be option to show items that are in the cloud in your library, but I can't find where that now is (unless it's been removed). You should be able to see what items that you can re-download via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (at the top right of that there should be a 'not on this computer' button)

I've tried searching through my available downloads but only the extras showed up not the movie. All my other movies are there including the extras from the movie. I really want the movie & I don't want to repurchase it if I can avoid it.
When I tried to get it through my Purchased in iTunes - iStore it says
" You have already purchased this item"
"You have alreaady purchased this item but it has not been downloaded. To download it, select Check For Avaliable Downloads from the Store menu."
Which leads me right back to having all the other tv shows & movies that aren't on my laptop downloading but not the actual movie I want. I already have the extras but I really would like the movie .

Thank you for your interest in solving my problem.
What I did I opened iTune. I read the information about what does my computener need to play back a rented movie. My computer is okay to play back rental movies. So I went to the iTunes store, I searched for the movie I want to watch, i singned in into my Mac account and I bought the movie. The movie started to download to my computer, it took some time because I bought a HD version, but it never stop and after a couple of hours or little less the movie was in the Rented folder of my iTunes and also I checked to be sure that was in the movie folder. So, next day I open iTunes and click on the movie, it opens but I wait for five minuetes and never started to play back, so I tried several time and I looked for info in different internet forums but I couldn't find anything that help. So I posted the problem in this forum and also I called Apple. Apple contacted me and they let me to download the movie again. So I did it and now I will watch the movie later. Not sure if the movie will play back normally or if I am going to have the same problem. I'll keep you posted.
Apple representative did not know why this happened.

Hi,
For all people struggling with connecting their iPad to their router, constantly getting 'Incorrect Password' even though you have entered the correct one - this may be your solution as it just resolved my issue.
In your router settings online (usually found at 198.168.1.1) change your security from WPA2 or WEP to WPA. For my iPad it for some reason only accepts WPA but now it is running without problems. Let me know if this helps.

Most of my movies are not showing up in my library or my devices. what can I do?

Out of all the movies Ive purchased only 4 or so are showing up in my library and same with my ipad which used to display all my movies even if they were not downloaded onto my ipad. how do I fix this?

It sounds like your iOS devices and computers are not showing your Movie purchases from iTunes anymore that are not downloaded to them. On your iOS devices you can check to see if the option to show all your movies is enabled in Settings > Videos. On your computer(s) this option is labeled Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases in its preferences.

10.6 to10.8 upgrade some of my movies are not opening

I get messages telling me that some of my movies are not movies when I try to play them.
< The movie could not be opened >
The file is not a movie file.
This is the exact message that I get, but not on all my downloads. ???

I have upto date apps ,FLIP for Mac, .Realplayer, VLC, DIVX player and converter, Quicktime 7 Pro
Quicktime that came with OS10.8.2 .
The only one that is missing is < Windows Player > from Explorer.
In short I think Apple is screwing their customers

ITunes bought and paid for movies are not on my Mac

I set 2 movies to download before I retired for the night. I logged in and received the "are you sure" msg. The movies were actively downloading.
These 2 movies are not in "My Movies".
Who do dI contact?
