HT4097 can't restore ipad using the "restore" method or the "recovery" method

Hi,
I tried to log in to my ipad and it kept giving me the message that I entered the wrong passcode. That doesn't make any sense at all because I was entering the password I set up and the same one I have been using to login successfully. I got locked out repeatedly. So continuing to try the password is unsuccessful. Why this is happening is not important to me. The important thing to me is restoring the ipad.
I followed the directions on this link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414 for restoring the device and I got the message to enter the password, which I did and it locked me out again.
Then I followed the directions on this link http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 to restore in the recovery mode and again I got the message to enter my password.
Both of these things were unsuccessful. Now what do I do?
I have the new ipad. I am using the same computer used to sync the ipad and the ipad is backed up on a regular basis.

Recovery mode asking for the password makes no sense to me. Are you sure that you are performing the steps correctly? Please don't be offended by the question. It's just a double check sort of thing.
I would try recovery mode again - a couple of times if needed. But quit iTunes, and restart the Mac before you try again. If that still doesn't work, try another computer - which will wipe the iPad, but may let you back into the iPad.
If it works successfully and you do sync regularly - you can restore from a recent backup on your Mac and the sync with iTunes to get all of your content back onto the device.

Are you using a valid Apple charger that came with the iPad?
Attempting to use a computer USB port, an incompatible charger, or attempting to charge via a wall socket that only receives power from a wall switch — can all lead to a low, or depleted battery condition. Has this iPad been wet, or dropped?
Verify all of the above, and correct. If the iPad still cannot hold a charge, consider taking to an Apple Store, or authorized service provider to evaluate it.

* Photoshop Touch does have very good text capabilites.
* For opening the Collage as an Artwork (Merged layer) in Photoshop Touch, you just need to upload the Collage file to Creative cloud and import it directly into Photoshop Touch.
But if you are looking to preserve all the layers of the Collage file, you should download the Collage file as PSD from Creative Clould and import it in Photoshop Touch as layers.
* Collage does have canvas scalability, you can extend up the canvas on all the four directions. But i think in you case you are looking for having specific custom sizes of the canvas, which is not currently available in Collage. Currently you cannot shrink the canvas below the default canvas size.

You might want to check with BT to see if they have a device to do what you want.
Using wireless only, the AirPort Extreme will only "extend" or "repeat" the wireless signal if it has been produced by another Apple router. It is not compatible with routers from other suppliers for this purpose.

Infintite loop : can't restore ipad using iOS7-developer

Hello,
iOS stuck me in the middle on nowhere : one of our ipad has the iOS 7 developer versionf and this version has expired (meening I cannot acces the device).
I tried to update it using Xcode and the latest version, but Xcode refuses to update it because the OS has expired and ask me to use iTunes.
This device is expired and cannot be used with the iOS SDK.
Please install a newer version of the OS.
But iTunes refuses to update it becaus "Find my iPad" is activated. It asks me to access the device to turn off "Find my Ipad", but as the OS has expired, i cannot access it...
Somebody has yet faced this situation ?

After downloading the desired firmware, connect the device to your computer and select it in iTunes. Mac users hold down the Option key, while Windows users should hold down the Shift key. Then click on the Update or Restore button, select the IPSW file you recently downloaded and click Choose. Your device should now begin to update. Take note that certain browsers may change the ipsw-file into a zip-file. If this should occur, just rename it to end in .ipsw and iTunes will recognize it.

I need to recreate the restriciton passcode for IPAD. I restored the IPAD but wonder if I choose the restore from previous backup, will it allow me to recreate the restrictions passcode, or will the old one remain?

There are two ways to remove the restrictions passcode. You either restore the device as new, deleting all content from the device, or you restore to a backup that was created when there was no restrictions passcode on the device. The restrictions passcode is part of the backup, so if you restore to a backup that had the passcode on it, it will just put it back. If you cannot remember the passcode, those are your only two options.

Can't enable disk use for restored shuffle

My shuffle stopped playing music in March. I continued using it as a removable disk. I tried the restore utility and it worked - now my shuffle plays music again. However the latest iTunes (7.0.1 and 7.0.2) has no checkbox to enable disk use for when the Shuffle is connected. The checkbox is there for a 5G iPod but not for the Shuffle.
So - now it works as an iPod but no longer works as a disk. What is going on here? How can I enable disk use?

iTunes 7.0.2 is still displaying that checkbox for both of our local Shuffles.
Perhaps you just need to scroll down to find it. If it's actually not there then I'd have to think that this is an iTunes question, not an iPod one, and might be better placed in those forums.

Can rman backups be used to restore to a different server

We are using R12 with 10gr2 database
If i take Rman backups, can they be used to restore on some other test server for cloning and bringing that test server upto date like the production.
I am confues and dont know and This is the only reason i dont use rman for backups, instead take cold backups manually every night as they are used every week to clone some other server for testing purpose

1. Copy the pfile to the new server.
2. startup nomount the database using the pfile.
3. Open a new RMAN session and connect to this database
4. Restore the controlfile, this will bring the database in mount stage
5. Once step 4 is completed, restore and recover the database.
NOTE:-- These are the steps for restoring the database when the RMAN backup pieces are copied to the same location as they are on the main server.If you copy the rman backup to some different location, then you will have to use the CATALOG BACKUPPIECE 'location' command before restoring the database.
