HT4101 Using camera to iPad connector

Reading GoPro videos. When connecting camera directly to iPad it gives the error reading of requiring too much power. How do you connect to USB hub and iPad at same time?

So, forgive me for being a little ignorant here. Hub is different than USB charger? I do not have a docking hub that will allow me to plug multiple devices in to communicate with each other. I have an iPad and a GoPro. I did get the import prompt briefly but then it almost immediately gave me the too much power message again. That was when I plugged the battery PAC in to the charger and the GoPro itself in to the iPad. Have not been able to duplicate since, even with full charge on all devices. Any other ideas other than buying a docking hub?

  • IPhone camera to iPad

There are a couple of apps on the app store, Camera-A and Camera-B which allow the iPhone camera picture to be seen on the iPad.
Can the iPhone camera be used as a webcam on the iPad?

Can only be used as a camera, and only with the special app running on both devices. Ther is a a fair amount of lag between the two as well. I use Camera for iPad and it does a pretty good job.

  • HT4101 The camera connector suddenly stopped importing photos like it used to.  Now it will import 1 or 2 photos and then **** off and revert to the desk top.  The Sd reader works, but I miss the quicker option of the cord and connected.

I have two Canon Elph cameras.  They both were easy to use with my IPad until two months ago when it suddenly stopped working on either camera/cord. It would check the new photos displayed on the screen and then shut down, import one or two, and go back to the desktop. Frustrating.  The SD reader works, though. Is the camera connected faulty?

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

  • HT4101 Lightening SD Reader for camera to ipad transfer

Lightening SD card reader for ipad not working.  I have a 4th generation ipad, a Canon ixus 70 with a verbatim 1 GB SD card.  When I connect the card into the reader, straight from the camera, the ipad does not recognise anything. Can anyone help? I have tried two other SD cards, one from a Samsung phone, another from a Samsung ES65 and neither of these work either.  Can someone recommend the best brand of SD card, I will purchase a new one if that is the answer? I have read numerous comments about the format of SD cards and people altering these, surely there must be a simple solution!! Is the camera too old, the SD card to old, the adaptor faulty - only just bought it. Off to Africa next week and really want to have a product that works.  Please help?

No, I don't agree. Whenever you connect a camera to a computer you are given the opportunity to delete the photos on the camera after downloading in precisely the same way the iPad does this. The fact that you touched Delete and then ignored the Warning doesn't change anything.
I've loaded thousands of photos on my IPad and never have had that problem.

Using camera accessory, I have imported photos to my iPad 3rd generation. By mistake I have imported multiple copies of same photos. Now if I want to delete additional copies I can't. It gives me only one option "Delete everywhere" instead of delete one by one, so that I can keep one copy of that photo.
Is there a way to delete additional copies of a photo and keeping only one?

  • Importing photos to my ipad 2 on iOS 4.3.2 using camera connection kit causes photo app to crash

Importing photos to my ipad 2 on iOS 4.3.2 using camera connection kit causes photo app to crash. Tried importing photo from an iPhone 4/ Panasonic DMC-FX50 via USB and SD card but without success. However, importing video from a Flip Mino HD is ok. Can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong

Have you tried a reset by holding the power and home buttons for ten seconds until the apple appears?
Since it's multiple different import devices not working with the CCK, it appears to be on the iPad side...
If the reset doesn't help, try a restore from within iTunes on the computer.

  • HT4101 I discovered a fatal flaw in the iPad procedure for downloading images from camera to iPad: after selecting the images to be downloaded, an accidental touch of the "delete" button, wipes all selected images from the camera, with no warning?

After downloading some 60 images from camera to iPad, I was "scrolling" down to select the last images, and inadvertently touched the "Delete" button that appears at the top right of the screen, when the "Select" option is chosen. I did not notice the warning "Delete 60 Images?", and continued scrolling down, when my finger touched the warning message. All my precious images were instantly deleted from the camera The sensitive touch screen feature makes this a real problem. Apple should "fix" this unacceptable feature, surely! I suggest that the images on the camera memory card should not be able to be deleted from the iPad, and this shpuld require to be done using the camera controls only. Similarly, the "Delete" or "Keep" options that appear after importing a selection from the camera, should NOT allow the images on rthe camera to be deleted, but only the imported (downloaded) images on the iPad. This unnecessary option could easily delete precious images from the camera!
Apple should remove the option to delete images from the camera, and the iPad touch screen commands should olny delete images on the iPad. (Alternatively, the "delete option should be on a separatly accessed "page".)
Surely enough users of the "Lightning to USB Camera Adapter" will agree with the above?

  • HT4101 Lost all Photos while Using Camera Connection Kit to Nikon D70 -HELP!

After using with my Nikon D70, the photos are not on my camera - says now incompatible file format.  And they cannot be seen on iPad. on iPad there is a gray box that says 'jpeg' in it.  Where are my photos?  Can I get them back?

You can't export any type of files using the camera connection kit.
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
    Another option:

  • RAW picture previews loading extremely slow since IOS 8 using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit

    Hi all
First, sorry for my poor english, I hope you understand my problem.
Device is iPad Air Wi-Fi with IOS 8.
I just realized this issue yesterday. I wanted to import some of my RAW pictures from my Nikon camera's SD card, using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit. In the Photos app / Import tab, the RAW picture previews show extremely slow. It takes a second to show each photo preview before import. A second for every single picture preview
For example, if you have 500 pictures on your SD card, and you want to import pictures from this card but just some selected, then you need to wait for an overview preview a lot of minutes. On IOS 7 this process was maybe 10 seconds for all of the pictures...

Same problem here. As a professional wedding photographer, sifting through my photos while on the go is the reason for me purchasing the iPad (Retina) 2 years ago, I now have an $800 paperweight after iOS8.x.x. Apple, if you actually read these, please inform your engineers to fix this in the next update or at least provide us with a solution to return to iOS7.x.x. Makes me wonder if there is any QA or testing that goes on before an update is released. As an FYI, here's my thread from a few weeks ago: Native Photos App, Slow... No, I mean really slow.

  • 1080p  movies using camera kit to iPad., 1080p  movies using camera kit to iPad.

How can I  get my 1080 film from my camera using camera kit onto iPad

I am using the camera connection kit USB adapter. Can't use the card reader because the camera doesn't have an sd card only internal memory. I have a gut feeling that the camera is trying to charge through the USB port (which is where it charges from) but  the Ipad is showing that message because maybe something isn't set right on the camera. Thanks for the help though. Any further thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.
