How do you change the sound settings when using the lightning digital AV adapter HDMI to a Bluetooth device.

Do you use them on the Ipad or on the PC?
Do I need a cable too and which one?

I bought 2 Apple Digital AV Adapters “HDMI” (30 pin Digital TV Adapter "for IPad 2" - Lightning Digital AV Adapter "for IPad mini") three days ago.
I’ve used my iPad 2 to connect with Samsung Smart TV via 30 pin Digital AV Adapter “HDMI”,
The iPad 2 instantly connect to the television, but the problem is that the TV displayed screen (mirror) isn't full screen. I tried with every setting on my iPad and also on the television but still no luck and the screen still appear in small size.
I’ve used my iPad mini to connect with Samsung Smart TV via Lightning Digital AV Adapter “HDMI”,
but also the same problem
I tried connecting with other televisions but the same result
It only works with iPhone with Full Screen!!!!!
I need to solve this issue as I paid almost 95 $ and for the first time I didn’t get the service I need from apple!! (Which I didn’t expect)

How can I connect my Ipad Air to my PC to see the Ipad screen on the PC?
I have connected them via the Ipad to a LIGHTNING DIGITAL AV ADAPTER-ZML connected to a APPLE HDMI TO HDMI CABLE (1.8 M)-ZML, and to the HDMI port on the PC. But now I don't know how to show the Ipad screen on the PC, as if it was a monitor / screen, so that I can then use Lync and share my PC screen with people virtually.

After the update to iOS 8 on an iPad 2 I receive the error: "This accessory is not supported by this iPad" using a digital AV adapter. It works for about 20 seconds before I get the error. Same adapter worked with iOS 7.1, same adapter still works on my iPhone 4s with iOS 7.1.
Curious if anyone else has this issue. The adapter is not a genuine Apple adapter, so I think I'll just buy an official Apple adapter, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has upgraded to iOS 8 and can still use their digital AV adapter on iOS 8 with iPad 2, and what brand of adapter you have. Thanks!Still not working. My adapter shows as an apple A1422. I can successfully plug it in to an iPad 2 with an older IOS but mine which is on 8.1.2, gives the error "This accessory is not supported by this iPad." I tried turning off the iPad and connecting it to the tv before turning it on. When it is turned on, it displays on the tv for a moment, then the message pops up and no picture is on the tv any longer. Clicking ok does not change the lack of a picture On the tv, but I can use the iPad as normal.
I've tried the adapter on a different iPad 2 that is not on IOS 8 and no message appears.

Anyone able to play Amazon Instant Video using Apple Digital AV Adapter
Amazon just released the Amazon Instant Video app for the iPad July 31, 2012. Version is 1.0
It's not a great app yet. I can get it to play on the iPad (by itself). When I hook up the iPad to the TV using the Digital AV Adapter, the app gets very unstable, crashes at times, doesn't load shows....basically doesn't work. Virtually everything else on the iPad displays fine on the TV using the adapter. I've tried Safari, Netflix, and a couple of games just to see if the problem was with the iPad or the app. The problem is with the app.
I emailed Amazon support via feedback within the app, and got responses back similar to this:
"I'm so sorry for the trouble you facing with the Instant videos which you want to play on TV.
I understand now a days all the TV's are HDMI connected but I assure you that we are working for the improvements required on this field.
The Amazon Instant Video app for iPad does not support playback on HDMI-connected TVs.
Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the service we provide. I've forwarded your feedback to our Amazon Instant Video team for consideration as we make future improvements."
I find it hard to believe they designed it to not work that way-I replied and asked them if it was...have not heard back yet.
Has anyone been able to view Amazon Instant Video on their TV from an iPad ? If yes, how did you do it.?<"The makers of the app tell you it does not work that way, you think they are lying to you?">
Where did you read that the app doesn't support this? Their app description says it does not support AirPlay. I'm not using AirPlay. It doesn't mention anywhere that it doesn't support iPads connected to TVs with HDMI, except in a support email response back to me.
With the iPad hard wired to the TV with the Apple Digital AV Adapter and an HDMI cable, on all of the other apps I've tried, the TV mirrors the iPad display. Even the few free games I tried would do this. This app falls apart when you hook up the HDMI to the iPad. To me that's a bug. I find it hard to believe that they designed it to not put out compatible digital video from the iPad. I would rather have seen their email response say that this is a known bug and that they are working on a fix. Maybe they are just beginning to understand the issues with version 1 and told the poor people answering the support emails to just say that it's not supported.
I'm not particularly upset with them, as it is v1.0 of a free app. It's got plenty of other shortcomings. I was hoping that it would work somthat we could take advantage of the Amazon Prime stuff we're paying for without having to go out and buy another set top box or Blu-ray player that was compatible with their stuff.
I would have gladly paid some money for a well designed app. Wish they had gone that route. -

I tried search over web and could not find the actual answer for my issue with Lightning Digital AV Adapter
I bought Lightning Digital AV Adapter that wanted to output movie (with AC3, AAC track ) to my LCD TV via Yamaha Sound Bar YSP 2500.
But I could not get the 5.1 AC3 sound pass through from my iPhone 6 or iPad Air to Yamaha Sound Bar YSP 2500. It did not detect any 5.1 sound.
If anyone know Lightning Digital AV Adapter having hardware limitation to output or pass through 5.1 AC3 . Hope to find some answer in this forum. Thanks.

It sounds like you are able to see the video from your phone on your TV but cannot hear the audio from the phone on your TV. This is expected behaviour, and in the article that you used it shows that the iPod Touch only support video mirroring with the lightning AV adapter:

Well, that's the question. I don't like interrupting my creative work only to charge this device, I'd like to have a charger and any other external device working at the same time. If you know such product which has Lighning feed-through with a charger cable output please tell us.

That's interesting. So after all they found an engineer in the company to design an adapter for them. I hope some 3rd part company like from China comes with a functioning USB (called "camera") adapter that does have the charger interface built-in. -

When using citrix thru safari on my iPad , how do I keep from getting timed out and having to log in again after not using it for awhile ?
I know nothing about this app but I just did a very quick search on the app support forum for Citrix and saw something about enabling a setting called Caffiene. Have you tried that? It overrides the auto lock from what I saw in the discussion.
I'm just not sure why the iPad would sleep at all if it the Auto Lock is set to never. The only other things that I could think to try is to restart the iPad and then see if the Auto Lock setting works properly or maybe quit all apps and then try again. That really shouldn't matter but there might be an app that is overriding the auto lock for some reason. Or even reset the device - hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. The iPad system might just need a kick in the butt.
Edit - after rereading your post I see that you are going through Safari. The suggestion that I found was for the Citrix app. I assume the Caffiene setting is not available through Safari. -
I have a laptop Mac and an Ipad, and would like to transfer pictures, videos, etc from the ipad to the Mac but not from the Mac to the Ipad, how can I set up the iCloud in both devises to do so?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your best method would be to connect via USB and transfer that way, since videos are not transferred using photostream.
However you can stop photos on your mac being added to photostream in the iPhoto preferences > photostream by unchecking the automatic upload box. -
