There are many compatible Bluetooth keyboards for iPad. They either act as a cover, or are integrated into a cover for iPad. Apple makes only the wireless keyboard for Mac computers, which is also IPad, iPod compatible. The Apple keyboard is longer than the iPad, does not integrate with covers.

I love the Smart Cover. It fits the way I work and I love the instant on/off and the always available screen protection. I wouldn't use my iPad without it.
I got a Cover Buddy for the back, because I wanted the back to be less slippery when I'm using the iPad in the classroom, teaching. I picked this back cover because it's VERY lightweight, easy to get on or off and, protects the corners, has accurate cutouts for the ports, and (in the colors) has a rubberized surface:

I have a Built NY "hoody" slip on case with a hard internal shell that I use when I'm in the field and I can put the iPad with the Smart Cover and the Cover Buddy inside this . But for everyday use, the Smart Cover with the Cover Buddy is a terrific combination.

The TX uses the FD mount and the digital cameras use an EF or EF-S mount and they are not interchangeable.

Is there a silicone skin that works with the Smart Cover??

Got my iPad 2 last week and the only issue I have so far is finding a silicone skin that works in conjunction with the Smart Cover. I need the grip the skin will provide but all those I've seen don't allow for the Smart Cover. Any suggestions? The skin has to be thin so the iPad will fit into its case.

Take a look at the ACase cover on Amazon here; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YHWI7S. I just purchased this cover and am very happy with it. It fits well and provides full protection to the back of the iPad and works well with the Smart Cover. It comes in black and clear. I got the clear. It is more of a frosted cover but you can still see the Apple logo and iPad markings through the cover, and the price was right.

If you want to reformat your machine and re-install all your apps and then restore from an earlier version of Time Machine you can. However if I were you I'd update the apps.

That is a matter of opinion. I never use (or want to use) a numeric keypad and LIKE the smaller Bluetooth KB footprint.

Yesterday I found that I have a big scratch on the left side of my iPad third gen... This scratch have been made by my smart cover ... I called apple and they said that it's not suppose to happen ! I also read on Internet that when your iPad has this problem apple replaces yours for free ... Is that true ... Sorry for my bad English ;)

hello guys i want to buy a wireless keyboard mouse to use it with my macbook pro i just dont know if i can get any or it has to be compartible with mac.

In the iOS 6 update it clearly stated that it is compatible with the IPod 4th generation. But when I updated I did not get Siri! How do I get it?

To clarify, iOS 6 is compatible with the 4th generation iPod Touch, but that doesn't mean you get all the features. Siri will only be available on the 5th generation iPods.

Does Apple make a data plate that can be affixed to the back of the MBP?

I recently bought a MBP for my college bound daughter. I know practically, if not all, college kids have laptops these days, not all have MB's. For ownership purposes, does anyone know if Apple makes a ownership data plate that can be adhered to the back of the MB without interfering with it? I would like to get something so my daughter can tell her's from others that may be used near her. I really don't want to keep replacing the MBP, like the pc-laptops that came before it. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

My daughter spent yesterday moving onto her campus and into her dorm. I was surprised at the number of MBP's in her dorm, on her floor, in her room. They seem to out number pc's, but that's just me counting. At the campus bookstore, MBP's and iPad's seemed to be out selling Windows-based machines 3:1. Hooray for Apple and the MBP's.
I bought and installed a security cable at her desk, much like other parents were doing. It is going to take a while for the freshman class to get used to keeping tabs on their stuff in these new surroundings, I'm sure! Hope the upper classes help them with their new away from home-life,mom & dad, and their siblings.

Adding an entity with a COA that is not compatible with the existing one

I'm facing quite a challenge right now. I'm working in a client who sells car, so they have several stores that consolidate in one parent. The current application has more than 5000 accounts (BS and P&L).
They also have a bank who was left out to the initial scope of the implementation. Now, it's going to be added.
The thing is that the bank has a different chart of accounts (really different!), and I was recommended the following steps:
1. Keep the current BS and P&L but rename them as CarRet_PL and CarRet_BS
2. Add Parent accounts: "Group_PL" and "Group_BS"
3. Create an additional structure: "Bank_PL" and "Bank_BS" with the chart of accounts of the bank.
4. Make both PL and both BS consolidate to Group_PL and Group_BS.
So, in the end, we'll have 2 BS and 2 P&L... I'm not quite sure if this is the right approach. For me, it'd be best to use the existing structure, and add some accounts if necessary.
Could you please let me know your thoughts?

Sounds very complicated to me... I don't think you'll meet all the requirements by only creating one consolidated balance sheet & income statement by combining the two sub-BSs and sub-ISs. If the two balance sheets are a must, to me it would be good idea to sit down with the group accounting team and go through at which level they need to present/see the data and build the group hierarchy accordingly. Ie:
Group BS
     Current Assets - Group
          Current Assets - Cars
               CarAccount1
               CarAccount2
          Current Assets - Bank
               BankAccount1
               BankAccount2
     Equity - Group
          Common and preferred stock - Group
               Common and preferred stock - Cars
               Common and preferred stock - Bank
               Whatever Bank accounts come next
          Retained earnings - Group
               RE - Cars
               RE- Banks
etc.
It will surely not be easy like that either...

I got an Apple iPad 4th Gen. For XMAS. I ordered the Smart Cover/ Case

It Also offered Free Engraving( 2 lines). So I thought "WHY NOT?". When I did receive the Case(I got a Pink one, as my iPad is white & it looks nice since its for a Female. The Engraving is Laser printed in either White or a Silver grey. It is SO Small, Literally it's Tiny & Barely Visable with the Naked Eye, Unless You Actually point it out. It Gave No Size Choice, Nor did it Offer a Font Type. ( only Block was engraved on it and tho I'd've rather had Script or an Old English Font, as it was FREE I really couldn't Complain about a Font) But I am Complaining About the impossibly tiny size of the Engravement. I'd've wanted it MUCH LARGER...but there WAS NO OPTION to CHOOSE. ( obviously there wasn't an option regarding Font Design Either, as I already Noted).
The Case itself works Great, but if I'd've known that the Size of Their FREE ENGRAVING would Literally be the Size I'm now printing, I Definately WOULD HAVE OPTED FOR NO, on the FREE ENGRAVING.
So I'd like to find out HOW I can Get Another one Either Engraved SO THAT ITS VISABLE! Or exchange this item for Another that's just PLAIN on the BACK.

Even the Engravement Colour is Not ATTRACTIVE! Why would YOU DO This? It looks Awful!! I would have more than Happily Paid A FEE to GET the SiZE, FONT & COLOUR I PREFERRED!( if Free, than customers whom WISHED NOT TO PAY, SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE the Knowledge that what's FREE is THE ACTUAL SIZE they're getting( rather than just engraving them and CUSTOMERS NEED to KNOW BEFORE they CHOOSE to OPT for this FREE SERVICE!
I have not had this case no more than a WEEK, & THO I Didn't SAVE the Origininal Box & Shipping Materials, I Do Want to return THIS CASE for ONE WHICH iS NOT ENGRAVED. Can U let me know HOW I CAN DO THIS?

Is the Apple Mac Pro RAID card (v 2.0) compatible with the Mac Pro (v. 1.1)?

Just wondering if any of you experts know if the Apple Mac Pro RAID card (v 2.0) is functional with the Mac Pro (v 1.1)?
I have an original Mac Pro and a new (black) Mac Pro RAID card. I would like to know if I can get any functionality.
I initially thought that the only difference was that the later RAID card did not have the same limitations on the HDs. I am aware that my original Mac Pro has a SATA II bus rather than a SATA III bus- but I am hoping this will not present any issues other than speed.
I am currently using Disk Utility for a striped software RAID (0) but would like to move to a parity hardware RAID (5); hence the purchase. If this isn't possible I'm not overly concerned as I managed to get hold of the RAID card for next to nothing so thought I would take the chance.
Any feedback would be appreciated as everything I've dug up online over the past few days has been a little inconclusive.

The black-substrate card requires a 2009 or later model, and works only in slot 4, which has a special connector for it there.
The blue-substrate card requires the ipass cable and connector feature in the 2008 and older models.
These cards are both showing their age, and limit drive size to 2.2TB each. Their data-backup batteries have been extremely troublesome. You should probably look at other alternatives as well.
