HT4111 does the magic mouse pair with an ipad?

Does the magic mouse work with an ipad?

bburik, I do not think so. Ipad is all touch screen, and the pointer will not show up on the ipad. The ipad is made to only be touch screen. But what you can do, is buy an external keyboard for the ipad, and then you can at least type with an actuall keyboard. But no magic mouse.

  • Does the Magic Mouse work with Macbook pros?

I've read on a website that the Magic Mouse only works with the iMacs they ship with.
    So, no Macbooks?
    Can someone confirm this?

I just got my magic mouse and it indeed does work with my 2.8ghz MBP.
HOWEVER, none of the scrolling features seem to work. The mouse connected to my bluetooth without any problems, it left and right clicks fine but zero touch surface scrolling seems to work.
Tried reconnecting, on/off, computer restart etc. and no love from the magic mouse whatsoever.
I'm all ears for any solutions.

  • Does the Magic Mouse work with a MacBook (early 2008)

Just wondering before I decide to buy it.

As long as bluetooth is installed it depends more on software level.  Since you show as 10.6.7 then a definite yes.
    Here are the software requirements:
Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0* or Mac OS X v10.6.1 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0
Note that the update isn't needed with 10.6.2 and later because it's already included.

No, you'll have to use Mission control for that.  It's either located on the dock, the F3 key on recent laptops on a swipe on the trackpad.

  • HT4111 how do you make the hippih keyboard pair with an ipad

how do you make the hippih keyboard pair with an ipad

I know this question is old but I just found out the real answer. After you turn on the little switch on the left side of the HIPPIH AppsKey Keyboard and the blue light blinks, I want you to look just above it.   Do you see that hole right above the word PAIRING?  Go grab a paper clip and press down in to the hole for about 2 seconds.   This sends a signal to the ipad and in the BLUETOOTH menu you should see "Keyboard" under DEVICES. Click on it and dialogue box will pop up asking you to put in a passcode for the keyboard.
It took me way too long to figure this out.
    Stupid recessed button.

  • Why does the magic mouse battery level drop suddenly?

I typically get, oh, about 3 weeks off of a pair of AA alkaline 1.5V batteries on my magic mouse.
What I don't understand though is not really being able to track the battery level in the bluetooth menu on my iMac 21.5".
The battery level even now is at 100%. What happens is is that it stays at 100% for several weeks and then all of a sudden drops to 7% or so, and I get a low battery warning. Then after a couple of days the battery will drain out.
After it drops down to 7% I can usually track the battery drain in the menu. But I never see it at 90% or 80% or 50%, etc. It just drops down suddenly near the end of the battery life.
Do other people see more continuous changes of the battery level?
The same thing happens with my bluetooth Apple keyboard that came with the iMac. Right now it is showing a level of 100%. It typically lasts for months instead of weeks, but I will never see an in-between battery level value until I get a low-battery warning.
I'm thinking of rechargeable batteries for my magic mouse. But I see too many negatives posted here in the forums about that, so I am hesitant about investing in those batteries and a charger if it's not going to work well.
    Thanks,
    doug

Maybe it's a Mac model issue? I'm running the late 2009 model, purchased in February 2010, and running Lion.
But I've never seen the battery level display in-between values.
Here's what it is showing now and I replaced the batteries over a week ago.
Do your batteries also last a few weeks in the magic mouse?
    Thanks,
    doug

  • Does the Magic Mouse Laser Light Up?

I was having a bit of trouble with my Magic Mouse and it was not tracking properly. A battery change seems to have helped. But I looked at the underside of the mouse and did not see any light coming from the optical port. For the life of me I cannot remember if the Magic Mouse is supposed to have a red laser light visible on its underside or not. Can anyone help with the answer?
    Regards,
    Steve M.

    Steve,
The Magic Mouse doesn't have a visible laser light, just the green power light.

  • Is the magic mouse compatible with my 2006 iMac?

I've had this iMac since 2006 (17" 1.83 intel core 2 duo) and just upgraded the OS to Snow Leopard. I got a Magic Mouse as a gift, but can't figure out how to enable it. I don't see a Bluetooth symbol on my toolbar, there's no Bluetooth icon in my system preferences, nor is there an option in my mouse settings. I tried searching "bluetooth" in finder and only found "bluetooth file exchange" in my utilities; in the system profiler, under hardware the listing bluetooth says "no information found."
So I'm wondering, is my computer even bluetooth compatible? If it isn't, can I make it? If it is, how do I get this mouse to work?
    Thanks in advance ^_^

    Hi again Teresa:
The "green nickels" is my puckish humor in action. I also wanted to indicate that while it does no harm, resetting the SMC is not going to make a non-existant Bluetooth module appear.
Is there a way to use the AirPort function to detect the mouse? (some one mentioned this "AirPort" thing, so i connected it to a network and i have a nice little icon on my toolbar, but no mouse recognition).
Nope. The Airport module allows wireless connectivity but it is not Bluetooth.

This is an old article, so proceed carefully if you decide to buy a "dongle."

I can rationalize most things and I would probably buy a new iMac (which would, in your case, make your gift mouse rather expensive)

EDIT: I reread your profile (sloppy me) and I somehow decided before that your computer was older than it is. I think all Intel-based iMacs came with a built-in BT module. What is completely puzzling to me is that it does not show in system profiler or have a panel in system preferences. If you are anywhere near an Apple store, you might make an appointment with a "genius" and discuss it further. If you feel strong, you could take the computer with you. Be sure to take system documentation if you do not take the computer.

  • Why won't my magic mouse pair with my computer?

I use a magic mouse and logictech wireless keyboard. My computer died (video card) so after I brought it back repaired from the shop, it won't pair with my mouse and keyboard. I have tried setting up a bluetooth device but it doesn't recognize them. What to do?

    Resetting PRAM
Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

  • Is it possible to use the Apple wireless keyboard with the iPhone 6? Will the Magic Mouse work with iMovie on iPhone6 Plus?

iPhone 6 page says that iMovie is a (free) application available for iPhone 6. When I use it on the desktop I need a mouse. Should I expect all controls to be touch-sensitive, or is it possible to use the wireless Magic Mouse? Similarly, if I want to type an email or a long document, is it possible to use the Mac wireless keyboard to enter text? With the iPhone 6 Plus taking over for laptops (phablet), it seems to me that input tools are relevant. Maybe what I'm asking is whether the iPhone6 (OS8) has drivers for these devices. Please advise.

Apps that are designed for iOS devices such as the iOS version of iMovie are intended to be used entirely by touch. It's worth noting that iMovie for iOS is not absolutely identical to iMovie for Mac OS.

so youre telling me all i gotta do is install the lastest bootcamp updates and thats it? its compatible?
what about a non mac computer like a sony vaio for example, does it work there?
Yes, it is compatible with Windows via Boot Camp on your Mac. I have been using it ever since it had come out. I love it! It has proved to be the best mouse that I have ever used.
As for using it with a Sony VAIO, it will not work unless you have the specific drivers. At best, you will get limited functionality.

  • Will the Magic Mouse Work with the new iPad?

I know it can work with the wireless keyboard.... but will it work with the mighty mouse?

You could argue that the iPad doesn't have a use for an external keyboard either. Yet it supports one. And truth be told this is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, reasons having optional mouse support would be nice.
You see when typing on an external keyboard you have to reach up and over to tap the iPad. This gets tiring rather quickly. Ironically this is the very reason Steve Jobs argued that touchscreens don't work for notebook computers. A mouse would be more ergonomically sound in this situation. Also the method for selecting text with your finger kind of slow.
As for the lack of a mouse cursor.... as unsanctioned software tweaks have proven, one could easily be added while the mouse is connected.

  • Will  a Magic mouse work with a Ipad?

I was told you can pair a magic mouse with a ipad! Tried to sync , but it won't work. Someone else told me you have to jailbreak the ipad. Is this the only way?

    To do what?
There is no cursor to move around on the iPad.

  • Will the Apple Magic Mouse work with my Mac Mini?

    Hi
    I have a mid 2007 Mac mini — the Model 2,1 — running Mac OS X Snow Leopard, 10•6•8
I’m thinking of treating myself to the Apple Magic Mouse, or Trackpad.
Will the Magic Mouse, work with this model and version of the OS … ?
(I’m ALSO told I need to have Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0: how do I go about checking that I do … ?)

I'm not sure about the 2007 mini, but a quick check is to open your system preferences and look for Bluetooth preferences.  If there aren't any, then no magic mouse for you...

  • Magic Trackpad pairs with Bootcamp (Win7) MBP instead of another MBP w/Yosemite?

I've 2 MBP's - a Yosemite MBP and one running Win7 via Bootcamp. When the Yosemite MBP is off, the Magic Trackpad pairs with the old MBP (Win7/Bootcamp). I see no clear way to disable this pairing in Win7/Bootcamp or a clear way to disable Bluetooth on the Bootcamp/Win7 MBP either. I can shut down the Win7/Bootcamp PC, but this gets old very quick, as I tend to carry my Yosemite MBP w/me at the end of the day.
Any suggestions from the Mac Geniuses? Thank you.
    Martin

Based on the multiple issues, I think I would reinstall OS X 10.10 from the recovery disk (your data is untouched). As always though, make a good backup before doing anything (I use Time Machine and I also make a bootable clone).
