Cannot `connect` bluetooth HTC Desire & new Ipad 4 after successful pairing completed - any ideas?

I am trying to export my contacts & other data from my Android HTC Desire into my Ipad hopefully that is.
I read the link you gave, helpful but I can`t find my Desire Bluetooth , `type` of connection, so am really none the wiser.
The phone & Ipad show the same passcode to pair, when verifying this seems fine, just can not connect... really frustrating - any further help really appreciated, or a work around to load the data onto the Ipad??

You just need to enter system preferences, open the tab share, and there you can choose the option "share internet". Then you select the way you want to do it and that's all.

I want to send something from an old phone to my blackberry but everytime i try it says connection failure... The bluetooth is switched on etc and i can actually send things from my blackberry to other phones just not vice versa,

HT201205 iPad 2 bluetooth connectivity problems

I recently purchased a Toshiba TY-SP1 bluetooth portable speaker for my iPad 2 with iOS 6.1.3....the iPad 2 does not recognize this device at all. I have a ZAGG bluetooth keybd connected with no problem. I've tried an iPhone5 and it connects successfully. I can also connect with my BlackBerry Bold 9900.
I tried another iPad 2 and it has the same problem of not recognizing the TY-SP1 device.
Toshiba says they are able to connect to an iPhone 4S successfully, but are not able to test with an iPad 2.
Does anyone know if the iPad 2 has a limitation on the bluetooth version that iPhone 4S/5 do not have ?

Thanks...I took this device camping where there are no wifi signals or cell service...but no luck.
As mentioned previously, my BB Bold & iPhone5 connect easily to this device....my iPad 2 doesn't even recognize this particular Toshiba device model. Toshiba seems to feel it is an Apple issue.
I've disabled my bluetooth keybd and rebooted the iPad, however, same result.

TS1702 Sound lag in GarageBand app on iPad 4 + bluetooth connected to heardphone.

I use GarageBand on iPad (4th generation). I record several tracks using built-in speaker. But as soon as I connect bluetooth heardphones to iPad the active GB instrument starts to sound with ~1 second delay.
Interestingly the latency occurs for signal from ACTIVE INSTRUMENT ONLY (no delay for recorded GB tracks)
That's why I assume that the lag happens on GB end but not on iOS or on bluetooth receiver (Phillips SHB9100) end.
Everything goes back to normal as soon as I listen output sound via jack or built-in speaker. So currently I have to connect headphones via jack to monitor sound while I record to GB.
Can anybody advise please:
How to eliminate the lag for sound from active GB instrument in case I use Bluethooth sound output?

Hi Meg thanks for the advice, I'm concerned about resetting both devices with no access to my iTunes, I've previously had issues where it would require iTunes to reset properly. Second issue is installing the same sharing app on the iPhone with no access to AppStore while I have no data on the phone. Guess I'll have to wait till I get home to access those photos on any other device... Ohwell.
I think theres an assumption made by Apple that users of iPad and iPhone would always have access to the Internet, at the very least on the iPhone. Evidently thats not the case, they just didn't think it through when designing it. Hope they take notes on this forum and release hotspot functionality on iPad, that would really solve slow BT transfer speed problem also. BT has always been slow with file transfer, not really aware of it's best use.

E71 bluetooth connection failure

I have a Nokia E71 since 7/2009. Lately I purchased a new car which has a integrated bluetooth device in the instrument panel. After I did all settings in my new car and in my mobile phone I could dial successfully in the car device but after I shut off the main switch and started it again the mobile phone tried to connect but without success. In order to connect it again I had to delete all the settings I did before and to set the systems again from the beginning and then it worked until I shut off again the main switch. I connected another type of mobile phone (Nokia 6500) and it worked perfect.
I appreciate your advice in order to solve this problem/

Bluetooth Connection Failure for Kodak P500

I have tried setting up through the bluetooth setup assistant, it finds the printer but then says "configuration failed. An appropriate drive for that printer could not be located".
I have installed the drivers and the printer works when connected via USB.
I have the Kodak EasyShare photo printer 500.
I hope someone can assist in a possible solution for this matter.

I am in the same boat, trying to set up a Kodak P500 to print via Bluetooth.
The Gutenprint project has a driver for "Kodak Easyshare-Printer-Dock".

The driver works fine with the Kodak P500 over USB.
However, neither Bluetooth Setup Assistant nor Printer Setup Utility will allow you to use it for Bluetooth printing. Bluetooth Setup Assistant recognizes the Kodak P500, but fails saying it can't find a driver. Apple did not provide a way to manually select a driver.
Likewise, Printer Setup Utility sees the printer (grayed out) when More Printers>Bluetooth is selected, but won't let you select it.
I have had similar problems setting up other printers in OS X. I do not understand why there is not always a manual option. On a few occasions I have been able to trick OS X by setting up another printer which uses the same path (USB, IP, etc.) then later changing the printer type (i.e. the driver) with Printer Setup Utilities Get Info window.
So maybe if you can find another Bluetooth printer which OS X will let you set up you can use that to give you an entry in Printer Setup Utility to edit to the Kodak printer. Given Bluetooth's security protocols this probably will not work as it would with a network printer.

N96 bluetooth connection failure

For some days now im trying to connect my N96 with pc suite, ovi, pc suite nseries. All gave me the same error "Cannot authenticate the Nokia device". While in the suites the phone it's paired ,that is the passcode was accepted by both sides phone and pc when my pc tries to connect with phone on the phone i get the following "Accept FTP request from COMPUTER" when i press Yes on pc it saws me "Cannot authenticate the Nokia device". Now my phone can connect with my pc with microsoft software and do everything with it i can even set my computer as a headset for my phone. Is this a bug or im doing something terribly wrong. Also i want you to know that there is NO pair/bond/auth on my phone menu for pc suite

Very weak bluetooth connection

Hi guys
i have an issue with the quality of my iPad's bluetooth connection. I have an iPad mini that I bought in feb 2013. I use it to stream music to my bluetooth speakers, but I've recently had a problem with the quality of the connection. It keeps cutting in and out at a distance of a little over two meters. Meanwhile, I can use my iphone 4s or iPhone 6 from the same range with absolutely no issues. This leads me to beleive there is a problem with the ipad. I've done everything (unpaired and re paired, restarted the Bluetooth receiver, rebooted iPad) and nothing works. Is the connectivity just generally weaker on the iPad mini than on phones? Is there any way I could fix this?

Presumably you have tried to mitigate effect of your body shielding wireless transmission as much as possible with phone kept on same side as headset?

This is the same experience I see with both my iPad and iPhone. Doesn't seem to cause battery drain, so I just don't worry about it. My bluetooth devices work and if yours do as well, just don't worry about it.

Hi there.
I connected to my livebox after about three attempts. You have to pair the livebox by pressing either the number one or two that is on the box. When it is in pair mode it stays that way for ten minutes so it gives you chance to try your wep code that is on the bottom of the box a few times. I can't remember which one was successful but i did try the letters in uppercase and lower and one of them seemed to connect.

Connecting iphone to ipad via bluetooth

For some reason my iPad won't recognise my iphone while it looks for devices with bluetooth. A couple of my friends have already successfully paired their devices to my ipad. Is there something wrong with my phone or am I missing something? Please help me out with any information, just trying to sort this out asap so I can play the scrabble application I just downloaded. Both my ipad and iphone had bluetooth on when I tried to pair them.

Tethering is something completly different. That same support article also says that you can use Peer to Peer bluetooth connections for applications. I also found an application that allows you to send files via bluetooth from my iphone to another or ipod touch or ipad. It is call BlueWaves. Tethering would in theory allow you to connect your iPhone to your iPad and use the internet from the iPhone on the iPad. Apple would not allow this because they have a 3G model coming out. Plus the iPhone is capable of internet tethering but ATT has blocked it from the phones until their network becomes more stable. I hope the information and that application help you accomplish what you would like to.
