This is the same experience I see with both my iPad and iPhone. Doesn't seem to cause battery drain, so I just don't worry about it. My bluetooth devices work and if yours do as well, just don't worry about it.

Using Windows 8.1 with Directx11, when I lauch Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer, I see the error message "DirectX could not be initialized. Please be sure that it is installed on your system. Maybe you need to enable Direct Play under Legacy Components in the Turn Windows Features on or off dialog.

I'm using Lightroom cc, I'm trying to create a develop preset. I'm making changes to one photo that I want to apply to many other photos, one of the changes is to blur the background using the adjustment brush. When I am blurring I am going over the photo several times, when I go to create the preset the adjustment brush is not an option to check. How do I add the adjustment brush to the develop presets. The adjustment brush cannot be added to a develop preset.
If you can replace the adjustment brush with a gradient filter or radial filter, you can add those to a dev preset.
If a gradient filter or radial filter is not an option for you, you can at least create an adjustment preset to remember your brush settings. -

When I try to open iPhoto it begins the process and then stops. It brings up a message that iPhoto has quit unexpectedly. Efforts to reopen it bring the same result. My timemachine has been accidentally turned off. I have over 20,000 photos on iPhoto. Help!
First, copy your iPhoto Library to an external so that you have a backup.
Second, see if you can create a new Library and have it open. To do this, open iPhoto while holding down the Option key. It will ask which Library to use, or allow you to create a new Library. Save the new library with a different name from the old one.
If that does open with a new library, the old library is corrupt, but all the files are still OK.
If it is a corrupt Library, iPhoto Library Manager can repair some corruption, or transfer the Library over to a new one. -

You can only sync to one iTunes Library/one computerbut you can manage music among different computers. See:

The only way to sync app from the desktop computer is to make that the syncing computer. You can't sync app from more than one iTunes Library/one computer.
To make the desktop computer the syncing computer you have to:
- get all apps and other item on the desktop computer
- Authorize the computer for the iTunes accounts inquestion
- Connect the iPod to the desktop computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Backup
- Restore the iPod from that backup -
A few days ago, my HP printer software updated automatically, everything seemed fine (Mac is running Maverick, my laptop is Snow Leopard). Upgraded to FF4 sites were slow loading or not loading at all - then I discovered it downloads if I keep moving the cursor. If I stop moving the cursor the downloading stops or slows to a crawl again. Somehow I received a free movie which I didn't want. It started to download automatically when I opened iTunes. I don't want it to download and can't stop it. I have other cds that I would like to download but this movie is in the way. Help
it's best to just let it download, then delete once it is on your computer.

When I start to update, the circle indicating download never stops. It's still circling the next day. How do I fix this so that I can update my apps?
Try deleting the app by tapping and holding until it wiggles, then tapping the X. Then try re-downloading it.

IMac FireWire port used for USB device
