HT4113 how can I find out 14 year old daughter passcode on iphone?

how can I find out 14 year old daughter passcode to access iphone?

Ask her what it is. Other than that, there's no way do figure it out.
If it's been forgotten, you'll have to restore the phone using iTunes.

  • How can I find out what's using storage on iPhone 4s

    Hi,
My daughter's 8GB iPhone4s is showing 4.7gb used space and only 430Mmb free - but when we go to Manage Storage the total of all items listed there is less than 1gb.
How can we find out what is hoarding all of this space, and why is an 8gb device only showing just over 5gb in total space (used and free)?
We've just upgraded to IOS 8.1.3, but also had the same problem with IOS8

Connect the iPhone to a computer and use iTunes to check its storage. Do you see more than 1-2GB of Other? If so, the phone must be restored to correct that issue.
5GB of total storage sounds about right for a phone advertised as 8GB. A portion of the space is used for iOS and included apps and some goes "missing" due to the way the device calculates storage.

I appreciate the prompt response.  Having read several threads, you can appreciate why I would be hesistant to upgrade to the Lion.  All I basically use is Office for Mac and the other basic functions such as email/calendar/address/contacts...etc. I have read horror stories about peoples stuff dissapearing into cyberspace and obvi dont want that to happen.
That's all nonsense. Most people don't post anything if they don't have any problems. People who do have problems usually have very specific reasons for them that they have caused themselves.

If you can't remember your password or security answers and don't have access to the email address (you didn't have a rescue email address on the account ?) then you can try contacting Support in your country and seeing if you can get the password reset and access to the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (they should also be able to reset the security questions)
If you can then update the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to.

  • I have an iPhone 4S that is a replacement of a defective 4s and it shows over 3Gb of data backed up in the cloud from my old 4s. How can I find out what is in this backup? It is preventing me from backing up my new 4s to the cloud due to the amt of data.

I have an iPhone 4S that is a replacement of a defective 4s. When I activated the newer phone, I believe I transferred over everything except pictures (had multiple failures trying to backup and restore). Now the phone shows over 3Gb of data backed up in the cloud from my old 4s. How can I find out what is in this backup? It is preventing me from backing up my new 4s to the cloud due to the amt of data. It may be duplicated info that I don't need or I may want to archive the backup or parts of it like pictures.

You can not access the backup directly.
Did you restore your replacement from this backup?
If so then you already have everything in the backup on your device.
If not, you can wipe the device and restore from this backup:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
What is it you are worried about losing that isn't already on your current device?

  • How can i find out total no of sunday in the year

    Hi Experts,
how can i find out total no of sunday's in the particular year. please can any one help how can i do that
    Regards,
    Arun

Just for fun (and in case this wasn't done to death in the other thread), the rule posted here states:
Most years have 365 days, but a leap year has 366 days. That adds up to 52 weeks (where each week is exactly 7 days) PLUS 1 or 2 additional days. The year 2012 has exactly 366 days. Now if the year starts on a Sunday in a non-leap year, you end up with 53 Sundays. Or if either of the first two days lands on a Sunday during a leap year, then you can also get 53 Sundays.>
which allows a calculation like this:
    with test_data as
         ( select rownum + 1999 as test_year from dual
           connect by rownum <= 15 )
    select test_year
         , case
              when first_day = 'SUN'
              or ( first_day = 'SAT' and leap_year = 'Y' )
                 then 53
              else 52
           end as sundays
    from   ( select test_year
                  , to_char(to_date(d.test_year||'-01-01','YYYY-MM-DD'),'DY', 'NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE=ENGLISH') first_day
                  , case extract(day from last_day(to_date(d.test_year||'-02','YYYY-MM'))) when 29 then 'Y' else 'N' end as leap_year
             from   test_data d );
    TEST_YEAR    SUNDAYS
          2000         53
          2001         52
          2002         52
          2003         52
          2004         52
          2005         52
          2006         53
          2007         52
          2008         52
          2009         52
          2010         52

  • How Can I Find Out If Someone Is Spying On My Macbook?

How can I find out if someone is spying on my macbook?  It's about 5  years old and I think someone is remotely controlling it even though my remote management and screen sharing is always off in the Sharing panel in Systems Preferences.   I don't SHARE anything willingly!  My screen shakes up and down or sometimes it just falls a few inches and I keep losing my place.  This only happens while I am on the internet.  The arrow icon for the mouse also behaves erratically at times, as if it is being controlled by someone else.  And I have people stalking me who seem to know what I buy on the internet and where I am going when I use google maps, ect....   How do I get rid of remote desktop from a MAC 10.6.8  or trace the idiots doing this to me???
    Thanks.

I think it may be more of an issue with the startup disk rather than spyware.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click:  Verify Disk  (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, start up from your Mac install disc to make repairs.

  • HT5114 How can a responsible eleven year old use an i-pod? I do not want to begin with the idea that it is okay to change the year of your birthday like "everyone else does". What can be done in an honest way?

How can a responsible eleven year old use an ipod? I do not want to 'follow the flow' as I have been instructed to do by other parents in order to obtain an apple id for her by changing her birth year. I believe in truth. I believe that even a 'little white lie' simply adds a burden in our childrens hearts and allows them to think it is okay. As I was told, "It is okay, how is Apple going to find out?" I do not want to travel that path. Her friends have ipods, our 9 year old cousin has an ipod....Help, Honest Mom in need of a solution.

She can use an iPod. She just can't have her own account in the iTunes Store. The restriction is on using the iTunes Store, not on using apps or playing content purchased from it. You just need to set up an iTunes Store account and buy items for her rather than having her do it on her own.

i want to update my phone, but i purchased many apps and music on the phone. it won't let me authorize my computer so i cannot update. i don't want to deauthorize all my computers. how can i find out which 5 computers i have authorized? also how can i update the software?

This is a tedious solution, which is stupid!  And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization.  I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. Can’t believe we have to do such a bass-ackwards kludge!

  • How can I find out which .pst or .ost file itunes referres to when synchronising with outlook

I´ve switched to iphone 4S from my 3Gs and would like to "clean" my itunes Sync before I use the new phone. Problem is, that the synchronisation with Outlook 2003 doesn´t work anymore. I guess the reason is that itunes refers to an old .ost or .pst file on my computer. I ve got several outlook profiles and changed from exchange to pop3. My question: How can I find out which .pst or .ost file itunes referres to?
Thanks a lot in advance :-)

Select the tune and then - Get Info - in the dialog box is a note of the Apple ID used to purchase.

  • How can I find out if my iphone has been synced to another computer? (Backup/Sync Privacy)

So it would seem easy for someone (lets just say a girlfriend for example) to plug my iPhone into her computer while I am staying the night and backup to iTunes.  I have my settings to "require a passcode immediately", however there was one day there was access to my passcode at her place while I was not there. So my question is three-fold:
    - How can I find out if my iphone has synced with another computer/iTunes (possible history in the iPhone)?
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
One reason I ask this is because earlier this year her phone was backed up to my iTunes on accident.  I did not know it was there until months later, but was able to access it with software.
    Thanks!

You don't.  Nothing gets stored on the iPhone about what computers the device has been backed up to.
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
Yes, it's called a passcode lock.
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
No.  You might consider changing your Apple ID password to be on the safe side, though, as well as your security questions.

  • How can I find out what is eating up my data?

This is my second month with Verizon and with my old service plan we only use to use 5GB per month.  Now we are over 7GB.  How can I find out what I am using that is eating up my data?  I still do same things I did 3 months ago.

I Assume you may have more than one, new device.  You can check in each devices settings, under cellular/mobile data to see which applications are using the most data.
YOu can then change many of the applications to use wifi only by turning cellular data off.
email and social media apps have settings within the apps to restrict cellular use, like not showing video of images.
restrict application from running in the background by closing apps before leaving home wifi or letting your phone "sleep" at home, while not connected to power.  (To save battery your phone switches off wifi, reverting to cellular, not a desirable feature, but it is supposed to save battery)
** to close apps, double click home button and swipe up to close app.  Leaving YouTube, Games, Maps, Social media apps open in the background can use mobile data.
clear the "outbox" in email.  Cases of massive data use have occurred when an email continues to fail and sits in the out box of the Mail app.
IN General, a newer phone does use more data for the same functions as older phones.
FFor more help with your iPhone, please visit Apple support, community forums or a Genius Bar.  I find them very helpful.
if you do go in to Genius Bar, back up your device.  In some cases, replacing or a complete restor are the only solutions.
