HT4113 I cant remember my pass code to unlock my phone. What do I do?
How do I unlock my iphone if I forgot the passcode?
When you plug your phone into itunes it will say that you cant use itunes with your phone as there is a lock code required, hold down the Home button (circular button at the bottom of the device) and the Sleep/Wake Button (AKA the on/off button) together. Making sure your holding both buttons down together for about 10 secs you will get a message in itunes "itunes has discovered a device in recovery mode you must restore the device before you can use it" Press ok to this message and then selct restore.
Hope this helps let me know

i cant remeber my pass code and my ipod wont unlock
If you can't remember your passcode, you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
If you're running iOS 7 with Fid My iPod enabled, in order to restore it you'll have to force it into recovery mode as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808, or erased it with Find My iPhone on icloud.com. -

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup
iOS: How to back up
Then restore via iTunes. The iOS device will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

If you do a full system restore it will reset everything. But first do a complete backup. once restored, move your apps/music/videos into itunes and sync.

I need to erase my old (unused currently) phone so my kids can use it on wi-fi and play games but it's locked & I don't remember the pass code. Any one know how to erase it and start over without the pass code.
PS it is not currently connedted to wi-fi so the simple "erase device" using iCloud won't work. Here is a guide how you could reset your iPhone via iTunes, if you cannot remember the passcode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Hi, I am unable to reset all settings.. I don't remember the pass code.. I am able to reset network settings and other settings. Can someone please help
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad into Recovery Mode
