HT4113 I've forgotten my passcode and need to restore my ipad
A passcode for security was placed on my daughters ipad but i have no idea what it is. I need to restore it but we don't know what the passcode is.
If you've forgotten the passcode then you will need to connect the iPad to (preferably) the computer that it's normally synced to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync the content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

No. You need a computer with iTunes and an internet connection.
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs and then restore via iTunes:

If you know the password to your apple id login - you can then do a restoration once you have put your device into recovery mode using itunes.
read this article to give you direction how to put your device into recovery mode.
Once you have put in your apple id login and password this then will allow you to restore the device once the device is placed in recovery mode.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
