HT4113 my granddaughter's iPod is disabled
my grandaughters ipod is disabled. Its not registered to my MAC but I've tried connecting it and pressing down the two side buttons and opening itunes. It just tells me
"iTunes could not connect to the iPod touch “alison’s iPod” because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod touch before it can be used with iTunes."
which isn't very helpful, I know that. She's ok to loose everything off her ipod and return to factory settings and I'm ok if we sync it to my MAC, she just wants her ipod back. Can anyone help please?

My sons ipod was on the charger. When we took it off of the charger it says ipod is disabled. Try again in 22,253,562 minutes ( the equivalent of 42 years) .. How do I fix this problem? Apple says they can fix it but it is 65 dollars because the 90 day warranty is over.
You need to connect the device in recovery mode first to bypass the passcode using the instructions in this Apple support document.

this is the second time i have forgotten my passcode to my ipod touch, the first time i had no problem with resetting everything, it worked fine, this time it says ipod is disabled connect to itunes, so i plug it into my laptop and i sit there staring at the side bar on itunes till it comes up with my ipod, but it doesn't, when i do this on another computer it lets me restore it, but then it stops halfway and said cannot do this since ipod is locked with a passcode, please enter the passcode and try again, but if i cant get into it how can i put in my passcode? is there any way that i can find out my passcode, or any other way i can reset my ipod
