Can you make and receive calls and texts? If you can, I wouldn't worry about it. If you can't, you may need to call Verizon. However, try this first. The 4S has a Vodafone SIM card in it for foreign travel. Try taking the SIM out and doing the *228 again. Once it activates properly, you should be able to put the SIM back for safe keeping. It's not used in the U.S.

What is the significance of the blue, green and grey highlighted names in the directory used to text or iMessage? This is not about the messaging themselves, but the names to select to text or iMessage.
The entries in blue are people you've recently exchanged iMessages with, the ones in green are people with whom you've recently exchanged SMS messages and the ones in grey are people with whom you have not recently exchanged any messages.

When reading my book on iBooks, I encounter duplicate pages for many pages then it skips the pages that should be there so I am missing large parts to chapters, is this a "bug" in the book or app? How can this be fixed?
Does the same thing happen on any other books that you have in the app ? If not then it's probably just that one book, in which can you could try deleting the book and re-downloading it - if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' from your purchase history :http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933

I just lost my iphone5 in a foreign country. Was not able to previously register it with icloud and have not installed the findmy iphone app. How can i wipe out my data remotely without these setups? Is there any good app i can use to track it? Please help!

I couldn't open the files from a Canon XF 300 into Final Cut Pro 7, so I downloade the plugin from Apple but still can't open the files. I opened and clicked on the installer icon. I'm not sure the plugin was actually installed. C

Message was edited by: BigDealCam123As you probably know the Canon plug-in enables Log & Transfer in FCP7. I'm not sure whether it works with Final Cut Express or not.
Look in Applications>Canon Utilities. I'm running 10.6 as well and that is where it's located on my machine.

Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

My external drive won't mount. Disk Utility says it can't repair disk and to backup the disk and reformat, but how can I do that if it won't mount?

I am planning a long vacation and taking my laptop but it is my home computer that my new ipad and ipod touch are synced too. I know i can backup to the cloud over wifi but how can i do things like delete photo albums instead of having to manually delete pictures one by one on the Ipad. Is there any way also to add my pictures to the ipad other than through email. i am assuming that i can't just install itunes on the laptop and sync to that. I have been told that i always have to sync to my original synced home computer for that.

Which operating system are you using? For Windows you go to Start>All Programs for Mac OS it is located in your Applications folder.

If the star is yellow, the site has been bookmarked. Clicking on the star once saves the bookmark in the "Unsorted bookmarks" folder which is not visible in the bookmarks menu, clicking on the star a second time allows you to edit the bookmark so you can move it to the folder of your choice. Start up disk needs repaired. Repair Disk button is not available in disk utility and I do not have the OS install disk as recommended to fix. Any suggestions?
You have two choices, either get a replacement install DVD for your Mac ( best choice) or make another disk a system disk.
Option 1 call Apple and request a replacement install DVD for you Mac. They will charge you a nominal fee for shipping and handling. You really should have that because it is considered part of your Mac.
Option 2 This one depends on exactly what kind of errors you have on the disk.
If the data is recoverable, you can clone to the other drive.
If not, then you are in trouble and need the install DVD to install an operating system.

I've been a GCU member for awhile. Forgot about the 3 game limit. How can I fix it?
I've been a GCU member for over 2 years. I forgot about the purchase limit on new games. I grabbed 4 copies of a game yesterday, and they shipped today. At some point today while I was spacing out I remembered about the limit for the program. What can I do for this, can I just return the 4th copy or will that not help?

An Apple ID is a valid email address, apparently. How can those be "attached to your email"... what email?

This doesn't make sense. You can register multiple, even non-Apple-ID, email addresses and their aliases with FaceTime.
So, maybe you can explain your problem better - what you want and the steps you've taken and what you have so far. If something doesn't work, please tell the exact error message, too.
