I recently downloaded my photos from my iphone to my mac computer and it deleted the pictures off of my iphone. I am now away from my mac computer and need a couple of the pictures for work. Is there a way to access the pictures on my mac from my iphone

Not without a third party app such as Team Viewer - but you would have had to install that before you were away from the Mac. Do you have PhotoStream turned on?

After searching Apple Support, and just playing around with iTunes, I finally found a solution!
When in iTunes, click edit, and then select 'Add To Library'. I selected pictures from iPhoto, and since then, I've been able to manage my photos, and sync them to my iPhone once again!

Synch pictures from Mac to iPhone

Can anybody help. I have just synched the photos from iPhoto to my iPhone. It worked great in that I now have a copy of my various "albums" the same as iPhoto but the iPhone also has another album called "Photo Library" with another copy of all the photos from all the other albums. How can I get this "Photo Library" off my phone. It seemed to create it independently and means I have 2 of each picture. Can anyone tell me what to do. I must same I am a bit of a Apple novice.

Hey Chris,
The syncing of photos is handled by iTunes. When your iPhone is connected, select it in the devices menu on the left hand side and then click the photos tab at centre top. From this menu you can select which albums you want to sync. It is probably best to start fresh and deselect all albums, then select the ones want and then sync your iPhone.

What is your MacOS X version and iPhoto Version?
If your Mac OS X and IOS ob your iPhone supports Photo Stream, add the the photos to the Photo Stream and import them to your camera roll.
Or send an email to yourself, then you can open the photos on your iPhone,
Or create an album in your iPhoto Library and add the photos that you want to upload and use iTunes to sync the album to your iPhone.

The photos on your iPhone must be in it's Photo Stream so make sure the iPhone has enabled Photo Stream as shown below:
Now you can select a photo in the Photo Stream section of iPhoto and control-click on it to delete it:

Make sure Settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library (Beta) = "Off"

Are these photos you took with your old iPhone? If so, import them to your computer (as they should have been in the first place). Once on your computer, synch them to your new iPhone.

I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

No. Hook it up to any computer running iTunes. Make sure that you do not have any of the other tabs set up to sync, so that you do not overlay the info you have on your device for Music, Movies, etc., then go the the Music tab and un-check Sync Music. This should remove all sync'd music from your device. (this is presuming that the Mac you sync with does not have any photos you do want to sync with your device. If it does have any photos you want to sync, then instead of turning off the Music syncing altogether, you can just select what you do want to sync, and the sync will remove all other sync'd albums).
