have been syncing data from iMac to iphone without problems..
however, jus a couple of days ago - when syncing data on the "waiting for items to copy" step, nothing is happening and it jus stays that way with the sync arrows jus rotating on n on.... anyone can help??

Since you can't sync her iphone4 to your OSX10.4, back up the old 3G manually to the PC and use this backup to restore from after you synced the new iphone for the first time using the PC.
To back up manually, disable autosync in iTunes on the PC, set up the iTunes account, connect the 3G and choose "backup" from the File menu or right click on it in the device list and hit backup. Save your purchases the same way by choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
Make sure to set up at least one contact and event on the PC to be able to merge contacts and calendars after the first sync of the 3G or the new iphone4. If you think about switching computers again some time in the future, you'll have to do this again in reverse with your new PC/Mac.

First things first, always do a backup. You can not copy from any iDevice back to your PC, you can thank apple for this and DRM. Google copy from ipod to computer. There is 3rd party software that will do this, some free and some paid.

If you've iPhone 4s iCloud backup and you also have updated your iPhone 5s to IOS 7.1.
1. Connect your iPhone 5s to the wall power supply with the supplied adapter.
2. Make sure your iPhone 5s is connected to your Wi-fi router.
3. Use iPhone 5s Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings to wipe your iPhone and set it up again as new, at the end of the procedure choose restore from iCloud backup.

I have followed the steps carefully and still cannot sync (load photos) from my iMac to my iPhone 4S. Help!

I have discovered that iTunes does not pick up "smart albums" in Adobe Elements - only basic normal albums.

Voice Memos older than last Sync date not copying from iPhone to PC after sync, even though "Include voice memos" is checked

I am trying to copy over my voice memos from my iPhone to my PC. I have "Include voice memos" checked under the Music tab.
I had an issue with voice memos being duplicated on my iPhone after a sync (I got two versions of each memo on my phone for some reason), so after deleting the extra copies on my phone I deleted all voice memos from within iTunes and chose the option to move the files to the Recycle Bin. So the Music\iTunes\Itunes Music\Voice Memos folder is empty, and there are no voice memos showing up in iTunes.
But now when I sync, it isn't copying over the older memos that are on my iPhone to my computer. If I record a new voice memo then that memo transfers successfully, but any voice memos with a recording date older than my last sync date do not transfer.
How can I get these older voice memos (with dates older than my last sync date) transferred over from my phone onto my PC?

Does anyone know of a way that I can access the voice memos with dates older than my last sync date...?

I recently did a clean install of Lion on my MacBook Pro and I've chosen to not use Migration Assistant because I don't want to move over a bunch of cruft under my 4+ year old home directory (Tiger > Leopard > SL). I've been very selective about the things I've moved over and all has gone well until I want to sync my iPhone. I've transferred purchases from the iPhone but if I check Sync Apps, iTunes wants to wipe and re-install everything! This wouldn't be a problem, except the time it would take to re-organize all my apps on the iPhone again. (Side note: Please Apple, give us an "auto-organize" button for apps!)
Any idea how to move over my old sync data files to avoid having to nuke/reinstall my iPhone's apps? Or is there another option to preserve how my apps are organizated?

Right Click the iPhone and click Transfer Purchases and then do the backup and restore from backup... That will transfer all your applications over to your computer and then organize them properly in their folders...
OK, that does make sense so I won't bother setting it up as a new phone.
Quick follow up question though, do I need to click the Sync Apps check box before I do a restore? The reason I ask is that I've done a transfer purchases/backup/restore cycle but all the tabs (Apps, Music, Movies, etc.) do not have the sync check box checked following the restore as I would expect. And when I go check the Sync Apps check box that's when it warns me "Are you sure you want to sync apps? All existing apps and their data on the iPhone will be replaced with apps from this iTunes library." That's when the apps then become unorganized.

Regarding your broken, previously authorized computer, here's how that works:
You would authorize your new computer -- maybe you've done that already. Then you will have two computers authorized. Apple allows you to have up to five computers authorized at any time. If you get to five, you can then go to your account details in iTunes and remove all authorizations.
Bear in mind this is not saying you can synch to more tham one library. Razmee209 and gdgmacguy's comments above are correct. But if Apple only allowed you to authorize one computer at a time, then having a broken computer would mean you could no longer use your Apple ID with iTunes.

One thing that might help.
1. open itunes preferences from the edit menu and click on the devices tab.
2. check the box to disable syncing for iphones connected to itunes and click ok.
3. Then click the button to reset sync history.
4. Now click ok to close the preferences window.
5. connect the iphone to itunes and go to the info tab.
6. scroll to the bottom of the info page and check the box to replace the ical data on the iphone.
7. then click apply on the bottom right of itunes.
This will overwrite any events on the iphone, including any events that has become corrupted.

I have saved all my datas of my old iphone on itunes and icloud. I got a new phone 4s that I connected to itunes in order to load it and sync with my old datas. but I don't konw how but when itunes sync my new iphone i did not take my old datas. at the end of the sync process, I got an iphone totally virgin, but none of my previous apps, neither contact neither calendar neither anything. what happened? did itunes erased all my previous datas?? i hope not but if it's the case, can I recuperate my old datas through icloud? please help because as a lot of us, all my life is in this iphone.. Question re: syncing with Itunes in preparation for transfer of data to iphone 6

Hi, I have an iPhone 4s that I have never synced to iTunes. I've never synced it because it is my understanding that all the music on my PC in iTunes would be copied to my iPhone. I have a huge iTunes library that is much bigger than the space I have on my iPhone.
My questions are:
1. Am I right in assuming that everything in my PC iTunes goes to my iPhone when I sync?
2. Is there any way to sync without copying everything to my iPhone?
And here are a few more questions:
1. It is recommended to update to IOS8 prior to transferring data to iPhone 6?
2. I have heard that using iCloud to transfer data to new iPhone does NOT transfer apps or passwords. Is that true??

Ok, so this tells me what I have purchased, but it doesn't seem to allow me to do this. I checked my iTunes account and have confirmed that I have purchased a specific app, and using that same iTunes account I tried to download the app but it tells me that my credit card will be charged if I wish to continue. Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.
