Hi Shirley,
Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back. -

I can hear caller but they can not hear me except when using speaker phone
First of all, make sure that your iPhone as the most recent iOS available. Check in "Settings>General>Software Update".
One other problem could be your microphone. Does it work for anything else other than a call?
Good-Luck!

I can hear caller but caller cannot hear me
I can hear caller but caller cannot hear me unless I turn speaker on
Try inserting and removing the earphone plug several times. Also make sure the lightning connector is clean.

Read the "If you’re trying to listen through external speakers" section. -
I can hear caller but they cant hear me
Hi
When I receive a call on my iphone 4s i can hear the caller but they cant hear me.
When I call the caller back there are no problems.i dont want to use the earphone with a mic though, i want to be able to receive and to make calls without the earphone with a mic. but my problem is, there is no sound at all coming from the speakers that you put near your ear when your calling

Microsoft Office for MAC, how does the sender select a notification that an email has been opened and read in Outlook? Thanks
Since this question is about a Microsoft product, you might have more luck getting suggestions if you ask in Microsoft's own forums.

Iphone 4 I can hear caller but caller can't hear me
When I receive or send the phone cuts off and I can hear the person on the other end but they can't hear me.There's no problem with texting.
make a voice memo to see if the microphone works. If you can hear youself on the voice memo, then it's not the hardware, it's a software issue

I go to disc utility and verify and repair disc permissions. Doesn't work. I try to enable journalling but it isn't highlighted and am not able to do that as well.
I meet all those requirements. core 2 duo and latest snow leopard. I have a late 2006 mac book. Maybe that's why. Its telling me that my hard drive isn't formatted correctly but it is formatted as they ask. It's not the hard drive that came with the macbook though.

My facetime for MAC wont allow a facetime iphone to connect
When I call my fiance using facetime for Mac, she attempts to connect but it wont allow her to; yet I can facetime between iPhones with no problem. Why is this and can it be corrected?
Hi there,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.

When I call someone using FaceTime from my mac, they can see me but not hear me. Is there something I need to do to make this happen? I also have an iPad 2 and FaceTime works great on it if I call somebody. Why no sound from my mac FaceTime using a mac pro and isight camera, mike combo.
If I use google it works. If I use Ichat, it works. If I use skype it works. This sounds like something similar to https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3388112?start=105&tstart=0.
Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call. -
I have installed the new OS X Yosemite on my macbook pro and now my FaceTime is causing problems. I can make and receive calls, the recipient can hear me, but I can't hear them. All I can hear is a crackling noise. The speakers work fine for everything else.
Got the same problem – even after the upgrade to OSX 10.10.1. A restart usally helps. Even though the calls sometimes drop I got no crackling noise problem on iOS, though.

I can't hear on Facetime for Mac and other people can't hear me. I recently downloaded Boom and I'm not sure whether it's the problem or not.
Remove it according to the developer's instructions and see whether there's an improvement. Back up all data before making any changes.

Can I call an iPhone (international number) using FaceTime for Mac?
I have a MacBook Pro. My husband, who's stationed in Okinawa, has an iPhone 4 with an international phone number. If we are both in a wifi area, does FaceTime for Mac work when calling an international number??

Yes.
Note that iPhone must be using iOS4.1 (or later) to FaceTime to Mac (or iPod touch).
On your Mac in your wi-fi area, click "Contacts", find and click on his iPhone's number. If he is connected to compatible wi-fi, he will get your invitation.
