hi i have Mountain Lion and i connected the display with USB cable attached... and still cant control brighness...
the software i am looking for is supposed to update the firmware of the display, but as i picked up perhaps an old stock piece this firmware was not on the display itself.

What version of the OS X are you running? Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac and report the Version back here.

I just downloaded the updates for my iPad 2 and cannot open aps or install new aps.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

you need to go to APP STORE, Then click on Purchased and you will see all the program which u can download from iCloud. I hope u made an account otherwise u will need to install everything again. The most important when u install a new iOS is to backup all your files first and then u can proceed installing the new one.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Backup your device in iTunes first. After backup disconnect the device. On the device for to Setting > General > Update and launch the update there. Make sue you have it plugged into some power. iTunes seems to be having some issues with the update. I have update two iPhones and two iPads this way.

No, 10.5 still supports PPC. 10.6 supports Intel only.

If you click View, Show Sidebar you will see the other libraries under Shared in the left hand column. Click on the Library you want and you can expand it to select Music, Movies etc. Select whatever items you want and click import if you want to move them to your Library.
You will have to have all computers authorised with the relevant Apple ID's
Store > Authorise this computer...
This is separate from the Home Sharing username and password and is to allow playing of DRM Movies, TV shows etc from the other computer.

empty the trash, both on your Desktop and the Aperture Trash,

Wild guess but if your WinXP system has formatted your drive(s) as FAT32 then the maximum file size is 4GB. Could be that the download in 1080p is >4GB? (if formatted NTFS then this should not be a problem).

The download takes quite a while. You should see a progress bar under the Apps Store application.
When it is fully downloaded a window should open asking you if you want to install now.
