Will an iPhone bought in America work in Ireland

No, there are plenty of places to get it HACKED.
THE ONLY OFFICIAL AND PERMANENT WAY TO UNLOCK A CARRIER LOCKED IPHONE IS TO REQUEST THE UNLOCK THROUGH THE CARRIER IT IS LOCKED TO.
That's it, the only way.  Any other way involves means not officially sanctioned by Apple (nor the carriers officially selling iPhones), will void your warranty, risks permanently damaging your iPhone, and it will revert back to locked whenever you try to upgrade the firmware later on.

No the iphone bought in South Korea is locked to KTF "Show" and can not be unlocked.
    Vice Versa
iphone bought in U.S.A can't be unlocked to be used with KTF in Korea. However, I have talked to my uncle, and he told me that there is a way that you can, but they will have to check the frequency and that they can do it and have it work both ways. However, they will have to charge you for them to do it.

  • IPhone Bought In America work in RSA?

If i Buy a IPhone 3GS in America, will i be able to use it in South Africa on South African networks?(Vodacom)

You will have to buy the phone that is available in South Africa.
Also, if you were to buy a US phone, you would need to bring it back to the US if you ever have any issues or problems.

  • Will an iPhone bought in Jordan work in Italy?

Hi, I'd like to buy an iphone here in jordan as I'm here for holiday, but I live in Italy..can I use it there? Will it work in Italy?

As a rule of thumb guide you should buy Apple equipment in the country you generally reside in.   It will work in other countries but the phone companies do not all have agreements and equipment may be tied to, say AT&T, for example.
And of course iTunes and the App store requires you to be resident in the country you are paying the bills from.

  • Will an iPhone bought in india work in other countries (UAE)?

i had bought an iphone 4 last month in India and now I am planning to go to Dubai (UAE). so do i have to get it unlocked ? If yes, then where can it be done, Apple service centres??

It should work and be unlocked, however if you bought it alongside a connection already ther in the pack, say vodafone or airtel, then you need to get it unlocked. You may try checking it by inserting some other carrier's sim and see.

i was wondering if i buy an iphone from the united states can i use it in my country jordan ?
    In a word, no.
    Refer to my previous post.
With France being the only exception that I'm aware of, the iPhone is being sold in each country as carrier locked with the associated provider.

  • Can i use IPHONE bought from America in INDIA

I want to clarify a doubt whether an IPHONE bought from America can work in India..

Only if you want to roam on an AT&T account. The iPhone in the USA is locked to work only with an AT&T SIM.

  • Moving to Australia. Will my iphone be able to work there for an Australian provider?

moving to Australia. Will my iphone be able to work there for an Australian provider?

Your iPhone will work there even if you keep your current US carrier.  However, you'll get hit with the high international charges.
If you want a local carrier you have to have an unlocked iPhone.  If you do not have one they are easy to busy as the Aussie's require an unlocked option on mobiles unlike the US.
One word of advice.  If you plan on getting a land line in your home or cable TV.  Look to the same carrier for both your iPhone and land line.  Aussie mobile charges are different than what you are use to in the states.  You will have to a lot of reading between Aussie carriers to see which plan you want.  Getting the wrong plan can be costly.
All Aussie carriers that offer land lines do not charge if you are calling someone with the same carrier.  If you have OPTUS then anyone with OPTUS means no charge, it's free except if you have the wrong text message plan.  Call from OPTUS to Virgin and you'll get hit with charges.
    Confusing I know.

umm, sure, a Mac bought anywhere will certainly work anywhere else.  Even the power supply is a universal one, although you will need plug adapters to actually fit the UK wall sockets.

The iPad update will in no way affect your 3G, no matter what iOS version you have on the 3G.

Will the iPhone 6 t-mobile work in Aftica?

If you purchase the T-Mobile version direct from Apple, it is reported to be unlocked and should work. However, it may not support all of the LTE bands there.

  • Does my iPhone bought in Sweden work in Japan?

I will buy an iPhone as soon the next shipment to sweden comes. The thing is that I will move to Japan in a year or so and I'd like to use it there as well. Do I have to buy a new one there or is the european iPhone the same as the Japanese? I ask because I heard that the 3G network in japan is somewhat different from the european and the US one, wich is supposed to be the same.
    Thankfull for all answers.

I live in Japan and am on my third iPhone 3G and I also have a non-3G US iPhone for when I travel in the US.
Even unlocked it will be a paperweight because you will need to get a Softbank iPhone specific SIM in order for it to work. The only way to get that SIM is to sign a contract for an iPhone when you buy one in Japan. The color of the SIM is also different silver is the standard color for Softbank SIMs, the iPhone 3G SIM is black.
The SIM that Softbank uses in the iPhone in Japan is NOT compatible with any other handset offered by Softbank they are not interchangeable in either direction. This is intentional and they tell you this when you sign the contract (in Japanese of course) as a disclaimer.
So this essentially means you can not buy a non-iPhone Softbank phone with the intention of pulling its SIM out and putting it in your unlocked iPhone 3G. While, a Softbank iPhone SIM would probably work, you won't be able to get that without buying a Softbank iPhone thus defeating the point.
Other Softbank SIMs simply won't work as the provision information is completely different for the Japanese handsets. They also changed the moble email address of people switching to the iPhone to @i.softbank.jp to further delineate the two and I presume for assisted bragging rights and self-promotion (the iPhone is very much a fashion item here and I have seen lines even in the country side).
In fact, when I needed to replace my iPhone they had to locate one and I had to drive a good distance into the middle of nowehere to get it. Incidentally, they replaced it with a phone from a special inventory set aside specifically for replacements due to the policy about the SIMs not working on any other Softbank phone. In theory this would leave you phoneless in the even that your iPhone failed because you cant simply put your SIM in another phone and this would be completely unacceptable in Japan.
So they inventoried factory new phones that are not in the nice packaging but rather a brown shipping box with foam inside and nothing but a new iphone in it with no wires or anything else. They simply switched mine, no paperwork, no questions asked.
But roaming will definitely work as someone from Switzerland visited me recently and their phone worked flawlessly, albeit at the cost of two arms and a leg.
