What happens when you tried? Did you try to reset your iPod? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. Then try signing out and back in again with the new credentials.
Are you sure you were using the same account in Game Center as the Apple ID you changed the password for?
If nothing else, try a reset of all settings. To do this, head to Settings -> General -> Reset and tap Reset All Settings. This does not erase any of your synced/downloaded content.

Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

How to I contact Apple about a support issue with Game Center--itself, directly. I changed my Apple ID and now I cannot access my game center account that I had previously. It created a new one for me with my new apple ID instead of keeping the old one.

I want to submit an issue with Game Center--itself, directly. I had an account set up that I used to play online games. I changed my appleID and then I no longer could access my game center account. I, apparently, had a new game center account created for me (which is friends with my old account) and now I cannot access my original game center account.
If I can't get access to email apple directly (which seems ridiculously difficult to do), then someone please tell me how to FIX the issue.

Yes. I have tried that. When I use the ID I had before, it sets it up as a new account and I don't want to lose my stats attached to my old account.
Let's say that my old nickname was "user10" and I used the email, "[email protected]" for my apple id. I changed my apple id to "[email protected]" and it changed my game center account to "mynew" and somehow I am friends with my old acct, "user10". I tried getting a password reset for "user10" but I apparently don't know my own birthday, which is possible because I usually give a false one, but the same false one each time.

Hi I have an apple tv 2. I don't recall the last time I updated, but I was always advised against it. I was turning on apple tv but had tv on wrong output and I guess I accidently hit update. It says not to unplug or turn off, so I went ahead and let it update. I have a collection of old movies that I owned before RedBox came out, so I downloaded them to my itunes library. Now a lot of my newer movies will not show up on my playlists. Movies that were there before. Anyone know what happened, but better yet, please tell me there is a way to undue this new update? I am trying to access the GUI administration page of my wireless controller. It is using a cert issued by the vendor that makes it, so the names do not match. I have created a permanent exception for the certificate. Whenever I try to access the site, I now get the following error every time:

Thank you both for your suggestions. I had seen the possible solutions of time and ipv6, but those did not help. I cannot recycle the wireless controller, as that would disrupt my business's network too much.
Cor-el, your answer was what worked for me. I went through each security.ssl3. setting like you suggested and found that
security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_des_ede3_sha is where the error was coming from.
With that one set to false, I was able to connect to the admin page again. When I set it back to true, the error comes back.
I also found that specifically any one of the following were needed for teh connection to work as long as the one above was false.
security.ssl3.rsa_aes_128_sha
security.ssl3.rsa_aes_256_sha
security.ssl3.rsa_des_ede3_sha
so I am leaving the one that caused the error disabled and it is working again.

I can no longer load certain games on face book after updating to 4.0.1

after updating to 4.0.1 I can no longer load the game farmville or frontierville on facebook. i first tried to send a feed back and it indicated that I had the wrong version. I went through reseting the useragent as per your instructions but not all of your useragents you indicated were listed. I then tried again to send a feedback this time it went through but after entering my comments it would not send them. So do I uninstall firefox and start over? If I do what happens to my bookmarks?

It went a little farther this time after disabling AVG. The problem still exists it will not continue loading the app. It just goes dead there is no traffic on the sat modem, also it does not show any friends when I try to send gifts. All of this worked with the previous version of FireFox. I tried it with Google Chrome and everything worked just fine.

After updating to iTunes 10.5 on Windows Vista I have found that I can no longer access the iTunes store... I am left with a blank iTunes screen with the loading bar stuck at halfway..
All other features seem to work... only opening the iTunes store is failing..
I have ran the diagnostics feature and this says everything is ok, so I'm a bit stuck

The "netsh winsock reset" command worked like a charm for my machine (running Windows XP SP3). I have had two weeks of frustration with this issue and finally found your post which got me back online with the iTunes store. My problem accessing the iTunes store began once I downloaded and installed iTunes 10.5 in preparation to upgrade to OS5. Once 10.5 was installed, I could open iTunes and access everything except the store (which prevented any of my devices from being able to sync). I followed all of the suggestions that I could find in Apple Support and the suggestions that I was emailed from Apple's support techs. I unistalled all Apple software and reinstalled iTunes multiple times, and still could not access the store.
Your suggestion is the only "cure" that I have found.

You will be using your original AppleID and password. that works for any computer you own now or in the future. Do not make a new appleID.

Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. No, your old Word files should still be where you left them and can be opened by either a current version of Office:mac or even Apple Pages (more or less). The problem that you are having (we think) is that you are trying to run an older version of Microsoft Office:mac (e.g. Office:mac 2004 or older) and this software was compiled for a PowerPC processor. The last few versions of the Mac OS has allowed PowerPC programs to run on an Mac with an Intel processor through a translation system called Rosetta that converted PowerPC code to Intel code. However, Apple stopped providing that software in 10.7 so any PowerPC applications will no longer run.
Office:mac 2008 and Office:mac 2011 will run on an Intel-based Mac and therefore will run on 10.7.

Don't know what to tell you, but I also have an AEBS-Gen5 with a MBP Retina and Mac Mini using WiFi. Both are running Mountain Lion and I don't have any WiFi connection issues. Two iPhones in the household use WiFi with no issues along with a printer and 2 Windows 7 laptops.
First thing I would try is to shutdown all computers connected to the AEBS. Then power off the AEBS and finally the cable/DSL modem. Then reverse the order and power on the cable modem, wait for all the lights to be solid, power on the AEBS, wait for the light to show solid green; then power up a computer that uses WiFi.
If the above doesn't work, you might try repairing permissions via Disk Utility. If that doesn't help maybe a PRAM reset would work.
