HT4314 Game Center rankings - Angry Birds

Does anyone know if Game Center no longer provides game rankings? It used to show e.g. #123 out of #12,000,000 users in Angry Birds, but I can't find that info in the app after upgrading to iOS 8.

this is now resolved rovio the game maker are aware of the problem and will fix it in the next software update

Back up your device if needed
Connect your device to your computer.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes. Select the Summary tab, and click the Restore button.
Click Restore.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. HT4314 Game Center issue

I have a version of Game Center that doesn't have "requests" tab at bottom toolbar even though I've updated to latest iOS version. And it "won't allow me to play multilayer on (my) device." Any suggestions. Is it a setting I need to change somewhere? Help

Along with troubleshooting by logging out and back into Game Center, as it recommends, the following "Additional Information" might prove helpful:
If you are having difficulty logging in to Game Center or staying connected
Verify that you are connected to the Internet.
If you are unable to create or sign in to your Game Center account from within a game, try creating or signing in to your account using the Game Center app.
Try signing out of your Game Center account, then sign back in. If you can't sign in to your Game Center account with an Apple ID, try resetting your password or using another email address. To manage your Apple ID account, go to My Apple ID.
When using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that your Wi-Fi router is configured for Game Center.

Game center will not recognize that I play any game center games. Also, my friends can interact with my game saves, but I cannot, because they do not appear in the "friends/neighbors" window when I play. What can I do to fix this?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Hello. My son has 'lost' his Dragonvale game and is completely distraught. I have three kids that all have their own game center accounts, but I
don't know how to get back into his. My apply id goes to one of the other kids accounts. I know his gamecenter nickname and gamecenter password, but I
don't know how to access with this info. I know his game progress is still out there because he is 'friends' with the other kids and they can see his game.
How can I get him signed back in?

HI Friend,
Game Center shares some information of your game, like the scores. But I believe Game Center cannot save the game progress. If the Dragonvale app has been deleted before, all game progress has gone.

HT4314 Game Center Problem

There isn't a catagory for this, but... Game Center games don't show up for me. None of them, not my friend's or mine. (Yes, I have used these games multiple times before) Help? (I wasn't sure where to ask this ^^)

I am having the same problem and I also have an iPod 2nd Gen. When I sign into Game Center it shows my profile, how many friends I have on game center, the number of games I have and my achievements. When I tap on the games app all it says is "Find Game Center Games" it doesn't list any of my games yet when I am playing the games the little icon on top of the screen always says "Welcome back, geew66" whenever I open a game. I finally got around to calling Apple to find out why this is happening. They informed me it is a glitch on their end and I needed to plug my iPod into my computer and give them remote access to my iPod to fix it. After doing this, the guy on the phone then informed me that in order to continue I needed to purchase extended warranty (or whatever it was that he called it) for $99 for 1 year and then he would be able to fix the glitch. Needless to say, I didn't pay them the $99 and my Game Center doesn't work. I just figure that if it is their glitch to begin with, why should we have to pay that kind of money to get it fixed. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem without the huge expense would be greatly appreciated. I am not at all impressed with the money hungry customer service I received from Apple.

HT4314 Game Center Not Working

My game center stopped working about a month ago on my iphone 5! It won't load on games and if i open the game center app by itself, the only thing that happens is that it shows that it's loading but i cant do anything and it never loads! Anyone know what to do?

There could be a number of things causing the issue, so here are a couple resources to try and resolve your issue.

HT4314 Game Center difference I-Pad to I-phone

I tried to sign in to HayDay on my I-phone and now my I-phone shows level 1 and my I-Pad shows level 31. My hubby sees me at level 1 on his I-pad. Is there any way to fix this? I probably messed it up and lost my game. My cloud storage is full so no recent backups on the i-pad.

Sorry for this long thing, but hopefully it helps.
Have you tried closing the application from the multitasking, then restarting your phone? This could solve the problem. Sometimes our apps just get exhausted and need to restart in the same way our phones need to.
Have you tried logging out and logging back into game center? This can reset game centers information, which should reset friends as well. This can be found in settings>game center
Have you verified your apple ID? Since you're on here I'd guess thats a yes but just in case you haven't go here: https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
Is your iOS up to date? sometimes servers get upgraded with the updates so older iOS versions might not be compatible in silly small ways (like Game Center not displaying friends).
The other issue could be related to an error my own phone was having. Basically I couldn't add friends (whether I was sending the request or receiving it) or play multiplayer on game center. In that case the issue is in the iPhone/iPad/iPod software itself, which is something we'd all expect (at least I would) when a company creates a new operating from scratch. In this case what's happening is your game center is responding to the iOS restrictions found in your settings menu (even though restrictions are disabled).
To fix this problem
go to settings>general>restrictions
Enable restrictions and choose a password you'll remember in 45 seconds
Scroll to the bottom where you see the section labeled "Game Center"
Now flip the switch on both Multiplayer Games and Adding Friends so both switches are green.
Scroll back to the top and disable restrictions
So let me know if you try any of that and let me know if any of it works.

HT4314 Game Center & Newsstand -- any way to get rid of these?

With the latest version of iTunes, previously independent apps are now automatically going into Game Center and Newsstand (e.g., Word Warp, Economist). I don't do interactive gaming and just want to access my news and games directly without the extra layer (and the intrusive Game Center message when I'm playing a game).

Thanks. How inelegant of Apple. Hope they'll change this in an update to the IOS. In the meantime, will move Game Center and Newsstand to the last page of my apps and read NYT online and not via the app.

HT4314 Game Center randomly signs me out

On a regular basis, Game Center randomly signs me out. There are no interruptions and my Wi-Fi connectivity. It just randomly forgets that I am signed in and will not allow me access to the server while I'm trying to access my games. I'm constantly having to go back to the game Center app and re-sign in. HT4314 Game Center will not connect and will not disable in Hayday, even if I am connected in the game center app

I cannot get connecting to Game Center except periodically. When playing Hayday not only will it not connect it will no disable either so it pops up so often you just can't even play the game. It happen on another game that is connected to game center also. I will not get involved with any other game that requires game center at this point if it cannot be fixed. I already changed my password with is a major pain and now I have this long password and before I had a short one.

HT4314 Game Center won't let me sign in "on this device". Keeps sending me to settings.

Game Center asks me to sign in everytime I open up my sudoku app. It won let me sign in to make that stop. It just says that I can't do it on my device (an iPhone 3GS with the new software update) and sends me to setting. I don't know what to do, help?

Ok, after a little fishin around all sorted. Did a settings reset and all is well. I can now get into game centre.
