HT4314 I can't set up a game center account

when it asks for my DOB i put "1982" as my year and it says "invalid characters" in that field. Any ideas?

I think I resolved this, it was because my account didn't have a DOB set up in it prior to me trying to log in.

1. This is a year old post. Things have changed, the answer is no longer accurate due to how the OS functions now.
2. You can't have a second Gamecenter account tied to the same Apple ID, because the Apple ID is the game center account. They are not separate things.
3. The OP said they had 2 iPads, which means they can use a different Apple ID for Gamecenter on the second iPad.
4. You can still creare Apple ID's specifically for game center without changing them for the other services on the other devices.

You need to get Apple ID's for them. They aren't getting them, you are. You can manage these new ID{s yourself. You can even make sure they have no credit card and are not associated with any other service on the device. So essentially they are Apple ID's for GameCente only.

how do i set up more than one Game Center accounts without having to set up more itunes accounts. my kids want to play each other in Blockheads but they are all logged into the same game center account that i set up when i started using the iphone way back...

How can I retrieve a forgotten Game Center account?

I have a Clash of Clans account and I'm playing it for about 2 years. It was level 97 and it's currently in town hall 9. I'm afraid that I will lost my game if my phone gets broken. That's why I want my account to be linked to a different device, but I can't do it because it's asking me to log in first to my Game Center account. How can I retrieve my Game Center account? I just changed my Apple I.D. when Apple updated it's IOS to IOS 8, because it required me to do so. But when I wanted to log in my Game Center account it asks me to log in in my game, but it kept on saying that my game is already attached in another Game Center account. What am I suppose to do? Please help me. I don't want to lost my game that I played for years now.

In order to use the Game Center settings and progress from that game, you will need to log in to the Game Center account you have been using with it. You can change Game Center accounts on any device using the steps in this article -
Using Game Center on your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support
Specifically -
Sign in to Game Center
Open Game Center and sign in using your Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID, select Create New Apple ID. If you need to sign in with a different Apple ID, follow these steps:
iOS: Go to Settings and tap Game Center > Apple ID > Sign Out.
OS X: Go to the Me tab and click Account > Sign Out.
When you sign in with a different Apple ID, you'll see different scores, achievements, and friends.

I can not log in my Game Center account!

When ever I try to log in my Game Center account it says cannot connect to Game Center! I need help!

Reset your phone and try it again. Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

I just got an iphone 3GS and am trying to set up a game center account and it lets me log in with my apple id and password but when it come time to set up a nickname it tells me my email is already in use with another apple id. How do I fix this?

I have been trying to log in to the game center for 2 days now with no luck. I have an apple id and have never used game center before. It keeps telling me my email is already in use with another apple id and I have no idea how to get around this and would like to be able to play my games.

If the problem persists, you'll probably have to make another apple id, it wont take off any games or music or apps or anything you've bought it will all stay there, i have two apple id's and i don't have a problem with anything.

How can I restore my original game center account to my iPhone after an update?

I just updated my phone to the latest ios thing. It deleted everything off of my phone, so it was brand new. Like, it could have just come out of the box. I finally got my contacts and music back, but 1. none of my apps will load 2. my gamecenter account won't let me in. I tried logging in with my old username and password, but it wants an apple account and it won't work for mine. How do I restore my progress in games, as well as the apps? Can I just restore my phone to the way it was before the update?

HT4314 I can't log in to my game center account.

It wants my Apple ID and password. I put them in (the same ones I used to log onto this apple support site and my iTunes account). But it says they aren't right. So here's my question. My daughter set up my game center account. Is it possible the Apple ID and password Game Center is looking for could be different? When I tried to retreive my password from Game Center, it said I had to create a whole new password (i.e., it wouldn't let me use my same old password). But I'm wary of doing that... will that change my Apple ID password for everything? I don't know what to do. Thanks.

Luxury, Julie! I can't even get past the “Nickname” window. I put in a nickname and press the “Continue” button. Another pool-table-felt-green window appears, empty except for the spinning pinwheel (“doing something…”) in the middle. After a couple of hours mesmerized by this wonderful phenomenon, I figure I didn't want to see what "Game Center" is, anyway.

"Game Center account services are currently unavailable. Please try again later." How can I fix this?

I've never even been able to set up my Game Center account. I have an Apple ID that I use, but every time I get to the part where I select my country this error message pops up. I can use Safari and internet connection required apps, but this won't work, ever.

Prior to installing iOS7, I could sign into Game Center. I had set up a game center account for my 9 year old daughter on my iPhone5 and I had a separate account sign in on my iPad mini. Now, it seems to automatically sign me in on both, and I have not found a way to access my daughter's account. Does anyone have a solution?

We were both playing under the same Apple ID before the update. If I set her up an Apple account then her game progress is lost. Very frustrating when she plays the games as a reward for helping out, straight A's, piano practice and it is now out of reach. I am still friends with her through the games, but can't get to her games.

Game Center Accounts

I was wondering if anyone can help me - my son set up a Game Center account 2 years ago when he got his iPod.
It was, of course set to my itunes account, associtaed with my email address, etc.
Well we recently switched all our cells to iPhones and now when i use Game Center, it is set to HIS player id - but connected to my account info.
I am unable to access my fb friends to add to games I play because of this.
Is there a way to allow him to keep his id - but set one up fro me on my phone? And if so, will I loose the game info I have already set up and been using?
I only play the one game Hay Day on the Game Center, btw.
Any help would be much appreciated.
(Oh, I have an iPhone5 if that matters)

After taking the chance of losing stuff - I went ahead and changed the player info on my device, puting my info - my son hasn't yet cecked on his ipod if he is able to access the old info - bt it seems that I just replaced an existing name with a new one and that the account info remains the same, attached to my original email address.
I was able to go right into my Hay Day game with no loss.

2 Game Center Accounts on 2 iPads - with the same Apple ID. How to do that?

The story: My daughter and I had an iPad each - naturally, since she is a minor, both iPads had the same Apple ID & password. In Game Center, we had separate Accounts (so we wouldn't mess up each others zoos and such), but with the same Apple ID. No problems so far.
Now, some lowlife burglar stole both our iPads... So I have bought new ones, one for me, and one for my daughter. She is thrilled to have her iPad back, and the games she have missed.
But oh no... Whenever she opens a game, the iPad launches "my version" of the game, with my Game Center nickname. I try to log her in with her nickname on her new iPad, but it is impossible - using the same Apple ID and password, it only shows my Game Center account. If I try to manage my account, or create a new with the exact same nickname she used on her old iPad, Game Center refuses to log on, because the "name is already taken" - Well I know it is taken, it is my daughters, but how to get it? It is like I know both the Apple ID, the password and both GCA names - but I have nowhere to type in "Game Center Account name" followed by the password...
I need help. I tell my daughter that there must be a solution, and her progress in her games are not lost; I can see them through MY Game Center account, so they are not deleted - but how to enter her part of the account is beyond my knowledge, so please, any ideas are welcome. You have the chance to make a little girl VERY happy :)

On the ipad that you wish to change the ID:
You can Erase all content and settings - that returns it to the "out of box" condition.
OR
Settings - iCloud - Delete account (It will ask if you want to keep contacts, calendars etc).
Settings - Messages - Tap AppleID - Sign out
Settings - Facetime - Tap AppleID - Sign out
Settings - iTunes and App store, tap apple ID, sign out.

Separate game center account with a shared Apple ID

My wife and I share an Apple ID in order to use the app store. Is it possible for her to have a separate Game Center account and username? It appears that game Center is connected to your Apple ID and therefore when she is playing a game on her iPad mini, Game Center recognizes her as myself. Can she create a separate game center account for herself even though her iPad is linked or registered to my Apple ID?

So there is not anything that i can do to get my stuff on to a different id? i know the password and all that if thats needed...
Is there any 3rd party software then?
