HT4314 Temple Run 2, high score of 156 mil deleted from Game Center

As the title describes, I last night got a high score of 156 million in Temple Run 2 and when I checked Game Center today, the game listed me as never having made a single run, and that I didn't have any score at all (my previous high score was 115 million which was on Game Center but is now also gone). I have played the game quite a bit and have completed all achievements except for the 10 million meter one.
Does anyone have some thoughts on this?

Yes, it's still listed within the app. It's only on Game Center that my scores are missing.

I do not understand what you mean by remove hardware from GameCenter. What is is Game center are games associated with the Apple ID used for Game Center (Settings>GameCenter).

So my friend got hacked and the guy who hijacked her account stays loged in to her account, and even if when she changes all her Game Center and apple account info it doesn't log the hacker out of her account...
So what can she do..? Please help us it's really important and urgent!

This is to avoid piracy. What could happen is, people could buy music, and give it away for free online. Usually it is then you buy a complete album off iTunes that it will only be available on one device. It is tied to that account, and the device must be registered to that account to listen to it.

Temple run problem?

So, Temple run on the app store on my ipod seemed to have been not working because the Free button was blocked. So i go on itunes and purchase Temple Run. However, when I pressed synch ipod the game never got onto my ipod and the app never came into ym itunes library. It then started asking me if I wanted to delete all of my 195 apps. Whats wrong and how can I get Temple Run on my ipod?

I am also getting stuck while playing temple run on my iphone4.Is this any problem with iphone.please help me out.

Online high score list

Hi guys,
I was wondering how I could implement a high score list into a java applet game i wrote. The logic isnt what im worried about, its writing to a file that is on a server that i dont own. It's my school's webspace...do i have access to do this?
If I dont have access, how would I do this, there are tons of online games with high score lists, so how do they do it?

Only you would know if you have the permission to do this!. BTW you cannot write to a file from an Applet unless it is signed.
What I would do if I wanted to do this is, Create a webpage that has access to write to a file or database, then inside my applet use a HttpURLConnection to call this webpage with the paramaters passed along the query line:

Game center doesn't update leaderboard scores after reinstaling apps

I had few games with some nice achievements and scores.
I have deleted my games from my iPhone.
After some time Ive decided to instal some of them again.
My achievements and best scores were automatically imported into Game Center and the games.
It was cool and it was what I've expected.
The problem is i.e. when I play minigore and get some nice points the leaderboard doesn't update. There are my old scores but none of them are appearing after reinstalling the game.
Simply I still see some great scores in ALL but TODAY and THIS WEEK just doesnt show my new scores even when it's high.
Other game doesn't connect to game center at all. It shows WELCOME AGAIN QAYIN but doesn't update nor scores nighter achievements.
Does anyone has similar problem?
Any solutions either simply wait till update cause it is a bug?

I gave my iphone to one of my friend to update my iOS to iOS 5... But after I got it back, and played with Fruit Ninja, I made a score: 3361 in Arcade mode. I asked my friend why this happened and he said because he was joking with me and he put a hacked version of fruit ninja on my phone. I gave him my iphone back, and he fixed my game, but the Game Center saved my score. :S I remember my last best score: It was 1186 exactly. (I was like OH MY GOD when I made that, and I really want to share it to my friends, but now, this hacked game missed up my real score and now I have a hacked score that I will never be able to beat down.
I need an apple guy to edit my score manualy.
(I deleted fruit ninja, and delete it from game center, than install it again, but my score is still in game center, so it doesnt forget them even if I delete the game from it)

I used to be able to download temple run onto my iPod 2nd generation. I then had to restore the iPod but now I can't re-download temple run onto it. It says you need a higher ios number. Is there anything I can do to get it back?

So, you need an older version of the iOS app, because the current version no longer works on your iPod touch.
If you do regular backups of your hard drive (as you should), such as by using Apple's built-in Time Machine (if you use a Mac), you may find the older version of the app in the backup archive, and restore it (replacing the newer version). They are stored in the iTunes Media folder, in the Mobile Applications sub-folder. You should then be able to sync the older version to your iPod touch.
I can't think of any other way to get it back...
NOTE: An 2nd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 4.2.1. If your iPod touch is running something earlier, and that is why the app no longer works, you can also consider updating the iPod's iOS.
I use an even older iPhone (original). I avoid this potential problem by aways updating its apps on the iPhone, not in iTunes on the computer. When I do it on the iPhone, it will not download a newer version of an app that won't run on my old iPhone.

How can you get back a lost high score after a partial sync?

I was playing a Temple Run game, which I was currently getting a high score on, when I plugged it into my computer to charge. Since it was the first time I had plugged it in, the Mac asked me to do some stuff. After my iPod started to sync, everything was fine. I then had to leave, so I ejected it and left. It kept syncing until I was out of the wi-fi range and down the road. I go into Temple Run, and find my game I was playing gone. The coins weren't added, and the high score wasn't even updated. When I came home, I tried syncing it again, and the info still didn't come back. Is is possible to regain the data back? I just really want the 7 million high score back...

Try restoring from backup. If yu did not backup since you messed up, restoring from backup should get you back to when the backup was made. Got to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says "Prevent iPod...syncing" otherwise when you connect, a backup will be made that does not contain the info you want.

I bought the new Iphone 4s. I backed up my old 3gs on Itunes store before trading in my old Iphone. I sync my new phone and I have all of my apps but non of the high scores. Under the answer you want to mark as correct you should see a box that says Correct with a green symbol to the left and a box with Helpful with an orange star to the left. Click on the one you want.

High Score Security

Hi I recently made a game(dosen't really matter what kind) in which the user gets a score and saves the score to my high score table.
I do this by connecting to a .php page and passing the score and name variables on to it. (www.random.com/blablabla.php?name=bla&score=676) The page then opens the mySQL table and saves the high scores. THe page is opened from within the applet and the user dosen't see the page opening.
The problem I am having is security, and i'm trying to make it so that nobody can access that php page from their browser and input whatever score they want and what not. THis was brought to my attention by my friend who put images(none rude) and hyperlinks allover my high score page. He was nice enough to tell me so now I am trying to fix it.
THe first steps I took were to not package the source code with the jar(which he downloaded and extracted). But even then I could decompile the class file and search the file for ".php" and easily know what url to type into the browser to input any score for my game. I then tried using an obfuscator, ProGuard, which didn't help me much. It only renamed all the classes and variables, but the String I open for the high score I still very easily visible. Also from other people I got the general opinion that they(obfuscators) aren't much good as they only make it slightly harder to people to get the information, not make it impossible.
Basically what I want to do is to make it as hard as possible for people(namely my friend...) to find out the page which saves the high scores, and type it into their browsers so they can input whatever high score they want. Obfusticating didn't help much and now I am running out of ideas. I was thinking about:
Making sure the thing that oppened the page is an applet, but I'm not sure how to do this. This would be my ideal solution as I am not too worried about people who would go out of their way to make an applet with the same name as mine just to "hack" my high scores which aren't even worth hacking. But how would I go about doing this?

You could do this using a client/server system comminicating using sockets, rather than simply a HTML request sent from the client. This way the client could be required to provide some validation before the server accepts score updates from it.
The trick is to decide how the validation is done; you need to be able to differentiate between genuine clients and a client your friend has decompiled and changed so he can cheat.
Remember that your friend can see exactly how the client works, but cannot see how the server works. Maybe you could send a copy of the client class object to the server and then the server could checksum it?

Hosting a server for simple game related info, rankings, high scores, etc.

I have a quick question about servers. I want to implement a ranking system for one of my games, the server would store player high scores and world rankings based on their score and perhaps other fairly easy stuff. Writing the server and communicating from
it with the app is the easy part in my mind, ive done it numerious times for personal projects (Like a Raspberry PI based quadrocopter i wrote). My question is this. If i wrote the server where do i host it? How do people typically host their servers that
are simple like this? Do they get a static ip address and host it from a extra computer in there homes? Im not talking about big corporations like microsoft that have large server centers, just individual developers like me. Any thoughts?
