HT4356 Am at my wit's end trying to print to epson workforce 845
I am at my wits's end trying to print my iPad 2 to an epson workforce 845. Have looked on Epson, Apple, been 3 hours on it, downloaded epson's print utility, but it nothing I do seems to work, trying also to set up with my MacBook Pro for wireless. It worked for awhile and quit. But my iPad has never worked. It works with ease on my HP at home, but not my Epson. get message: no AirPrint found. Geez alou, someone help me before I shoot myself (only joking about shooting myself)
What make and model router do you have?
Make sure they are on the same wifi network. If they are, you'll likely have success turning off the router, the printer, and the iOS device and powering them back on.

PSE 6 Crashes when trying to print to Epson Stylus Photo 1400
Has anyone had an issue with PSE 6 crashing when trying to print a single photo from the Organizer? I have tried to print photos directly from the Organizer and each time I do, the application crashes. I can open the photo in the editor and print directly from the editor with no problems. It's not the printer becuase I can print from other applications to the printer. I can also print to my HP PSC 2355 with no issues. but for some reason, I cannot get the Organizer application to print to the Epson. I have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it. I have checked to see if there are any updated drivers - there are none. I'm running PSE 6 on Windows Vista 32-bit. Any suggestions what else I can try? I hate that I cannot print to my new printer!
Try deselecting the print options "EXIF Print" and "Print Image Matching". Unfortunately, the Search function of the new forums doesn't work yet for older messages, but I did find this thread cached by Google referring to a similar problem:

(I find myself using Google more and more to search Adobe's site, unfortunately.) -
ERROR when trying to print to EPSON 1400, RASTERTOESCPII Any suggestions please?
I downloaded after S/W update said I had new printer S/W available, NOT positive this caused problem, but sure can't print now from any Apps. I D/L new Combo S/W from Epson, but didn't resolve. I de-installed using Epson CD, but still not resolved. Same Error. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks I am running OS 10.6.8

PS (CS5) Crashing when trying to Print
Since I upgraded to Mavericks (total clean install and CS5 reloaded) Photoshop crashes whenever I try to print. I have saved the log file. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I checked for an Epson Workforce 845 update to its driver but the software updater says I'm up to date. All other applications are printing fine (have not tried LR yet, though). Ideas? things to try?
I am having this exact same problem. I just uploaded the new Mavericks today and each time I send a file to print from PS (CS5), it crashes. Regarding, printing to the ADOBE PDF printer, I'm unsure what you are referring to from Photoshop. I do have Acrobat Pro. Any help would be SUPER appreciated!!

I originally posted this question to the community section and was advised to post it here. Please bear with me as this will be a long post. I'm including the scenarios involving this reoccurring issue, the trouble shooting steps I've already
taken and the results of several diagnostic tools and logs.
I have a Sony VAIOS VPCEBB33FM lap top since 2011. I have had this issue on an off for a long time. I'm at my wit's end. Any new insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Scenario Details
1) Some times it's on and off through out the day, sometimes it won't work all day, and once in a while it will work fine for the entire day.
2) I've had this issue across several wireless services, Clear Network accessed with WiMax, Library Wi-fi, Comcast cable internet using wireless router and Wi-fi, and Comcast Xfinity Wi-Fi, to name a few examples.
3) Other devices in the household or library will work with no problems such as my smart phone or my roommates' laptops or desktop computers.
4) Once in a while, the built-in wireless adapter is not found and I have to reinstall the driver. Also the diagnostic tool has had to reset my adapter on an increasing basis.
5) I had my hard drive replaced in December 2014 and my system restored from the System Restore disks that came with it when I bought the laptop. Even though I've been online on an infrequent basis it worked just fine for a while. Now that
I've been online a bit more I'm having the same issues again.
Below are my attempts at trouble shooting so far but I still have not been able to consistently resolve my DNS issues
1) Restarting my adapter
2) Turning off my laptop and removing the power supply for 5-10 minutes before turning it back on.
3) Using the IP Config in Command Prompt
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
4) Using the NetSh reset in Command Prompt and restarting my laptop
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
[restart laptop]
5) Configuring the TCP/IP in several settings
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
I have used the following settings:
a) Obtain an DNS server address automatically
b) OpenDNS
208 67 222 222
208 67 220 220
c) Google DNS
8 8 8 8
8 8 4 4
6) Updating the driver for my Intel Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN and Intel Centrino(R) WIMAX 6250 from the Intel website previous having my laptop wiped clean in 2014. It still did not resolve the issue. My laptop
manufacturer as not come up with an driver update for my adapter since 2010. I haven't tried to update the adapter driver from Intel's website since having my laptop repaired due to the fact that Intel strongly recommending using the manufacturer's updates
instead and frankly it didn't make much of a difference when I did it the first time.
7) The last one I've tried as of today is going into Services and changing the start up type to automatic for the following:
Computer Browser [changed from manual to automatic]
DHCP Client [already set to automatic]
DNS Client [already set to automatic]
Network Connections [already set to automatic]
Network Location Awareness [changed from manual to automatic]
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) [already set to automatic]
Server [already set to automatic]
TCP/IP Netbios helper [already set to automatic]
Workstation [already set to automatic]
...and I'm still having DNS issues.
My only guessing are that my laptop came with a lemon adapter that needs to be replaced, some advanced setting(s) that I'm not aware off, or my firewall/anti-virus is interfering. I've used Symmantic Anti-virus and Firewall in the past and currently
Avast Anti-Virus with Microsoft Network Firewall. I've had DNS issues with both anti-virus/firewall set ups.
Below are the results from the diagnostics and tests that I've ran.

I am begging for some help here. I have read everything I can find on printing within Aperture. The best guides appear to be published by Apple, and so I have followed those. I also have a couple of books that I use as well. I have a long history of successful printing on a pc so this is very frustrating for me.
I calibrate my monitor (iMac) with Gretag EyeOne Display2 hardware. I have used the recommended 2.2 gamma setting, the 6500K, and 120 luminance. I use a profile for my paper. Color management in my printer drive is off. On my pc, the profile was spot-on. I have yet to print a "spot-on" photo within Aperture.
I just tried a beautiful shot of two girls (both gorgeous green eyes on my monitor). The print is dark as heck and colors are totally off. I need to print these for a project that is due soon. I am at my wit's end.
Can someone help me? I am starting to get a bit desparate, as the paper and ink-wasting is costing me a ton of money. I will be forever grateful if someone can point me in a direction that will help. Not sure where else to go from here.it's a long reply, but bare with me. i hope this is of some help for you.
the colors are still black/brown (when they should be blue, for instance).
the colors are still black/brown??? does the print look like it was almost flooded with ink that you can't quite make out what you've printed, or that where it's suppose to be blue it's black/brown in color?
when an image prints very dark, i can only assume that somewhere in the set-up color management is happening twice.
go to this link, http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/r220_/r220__rf/softx3.htm and then scroll down to Color Management section. note the screen capture for the Stylus Photo R220 print dialogue. i know you've already checked, but would you check again to make sure that your setting is not the same as in the screen capture. that is Off (No Color Adjustment) is the only option you want selected.
(one more thing that you could double check, and this is going to sound very absurd, because it's most probably not possible. would you check to see if the ink cartridges are where they are supposed to be, and that they're the right color? if you have printed with these same ink cartridges without any color problems on your pc, then it rules out misinstalled or mislabled ink cartridges.)
by the way, dale's suggestion is the right direction. you want to put aside (remove) custom profiles and other existing profiles and use only what the R220 driver installs by default.
meanwhile, for the purpose of meeting your deadline, i suggest that you make your prints with what have worked for you. after you've taken care of that, you can continue with your current Color Management issue.
one more thing. it's not your imagination, there is very little information about color management and printing in Aperture.

At wit's end with imovie project -- need Help!
Aloha:
I am in the middle of doing a documentary movie of the yearly Air Show put on by my RC model airplane club. Over the past several years I have made a handful of other documentaries and all with out problem, they worked just fine.
On this one, however, I have run into problems that are new and completely frustrating. I have finished editing the movie and all works well in the iMovie mode. I can play the entire movie and all the parts and pieces work just fine. But when I burn the results onto a DVD some scenes (only a few) lose camera audio. This is also true if I export it to Quicktime.
My movie uses camera audio, imported background music and narrative voice-over. And all those play just fine in the iMovie program. But there are several spots where the camera audio doesn't come across in the final product, just total silence except for the background music or any voice-over narrations that may be present during those times. The camera audio just does not come through.
I am at wit’s end and need some help. Has anyone come across this and what did you do to fix it?
Thanks
Dan Page
Maui, HawaiiHi: Thank you very much for the rapid come back, most appreciated.
Hi Dan
A wild guess. Can it be so that those clips are
recorded in Your Camera with
the sound set to 12-bit (often factory/default set).
Should be 16-bit
I'll check the camera for that, but the same camera was used in all the clips and only two or three were missing audio when exported.
Try to extract the missing sounds from each clip and
redo a disk image in
iDVD and see if the sound is back.
That sounds like a great diagnostic and should be far less time consuming than burning a DVD.
Thanks for the hints.

Hey kids!
The Computer: Toshiba Satellite A355D-S69221
The Program: 32 Bit Windows Vista
The issue: Internal Mic not recognized, external mic quits midway through conversation, Realtek Digital output not plugged in.
So being the smart guy I am, a few weeks back I decided to do the smart thing and delete all the speech recognition software off this thing. I don't need it, so wth.
Now, my internal mic quit. I reinstalled the software, rolled back drivers, deleted drivers to rebuild the driver stack, did a BIOS update, did the GTA ViceCity cheatcode start (unplug everything hold power key 30 seconds, reboot, f2 to enter bios, f9 to update, f10 to save), and nothing.
I did notice that when I had the Realtek Digital Output set as standard, my mic jack was illuminated by a red LED, and the Realtek HD manager wouldn't pop up when I plug something in.
The last irritating part is that I will talk to my wife via vo/ip, the external mic I am using will just quit mid conversation, and I have to reload a driver to get it to work again. I am at my wit's end with this thing, can anyone help? The last thing I am goign to do is another system restore from an earlier date than I used before. Does anyone have any other hints/clues/ideas?
KFDThanks Jeff. No this isn't some kind of emergency so no one really minds my tinkering until it does get back up.
OK, I got it now. This is what my cyrus.conf looks like. It doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it...

Again, thanks for everyone's help. I'm sure this is something dumb that I'm just missing but since I'm not familiar enough with the system it's hard for me to figure out what that is! -
Cannot get Brother HL-2140 laser printer to work -- AT WIT'S END...
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me to get this printer to work -- I'm about at the point that I'm just ready to chuck the d*mn thing out the window!
For the record, I'm trying to use it with a Dual 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4 with 2 GB of memory, running System Version 10.5.6. And connection via USB.
I CANNOT get it to print anything. Well, that's not COMPLETELY accurate -- I WAS able to get it to print a "printer settings" page by pushing the button on the printer. So obviously, it works. But ANYTHING sent from the computer -- no go. Every time, the print monitor or whatever it's called gives me a message saying "*Sending data failed!"*
I have the latest driver downloaded from the Brother website. I have scoured the manual, the Brother website, and googled it, and have tried EVERY fix I've been able to find, save one (that I'm trying to avoid, for reasons I'll explain later). NONE of them have worked.
There was a thread on here back in November, which I would've just posted on, but it's archived:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8507844&tstart=0
I downloaded and tried the Print Therapy program that was mentioned in this thread -- it didn't help. The only thing I haven't tried is archiving and reinstalling, as was mentioned in the thread. I assume this means the system software, right? I REALLY don't want to do this, if I don't absolutely HAVE to. I have always bought Macs, because they just work. I don't want to "get under the hood" and tweak and tinker to get my computer to run better, or constantly have someone ELSE work on it when it's not working right, like many of my PC-owning friends have to. I don't run out and get the newest system software the instant it comes out, either -- instead of getting excited over new features and stuff, I generally tend more to get annoyed that I have to "relearn" or get used to the new ways things are set up or run or whatever. Anyway, when I got an iPhone a little over a year ago, I discovered after bringing it home that I had to go back to the Apple Store to buy Leopard -- because I couldn't activate the phone on my Mac (with old system software). So I did, installed it, and got a blue screen. That's it. Nothing else. I had to call Apple support and have someone talk me through going into the Terminal (which I didn't even know existed until that point) and enter a bunch of code. I felt like I was back in high school 20+ years ago, learning MS-DOS in computer class (which is why I didn't continue on with learning computer programming. Yuk. I discovered the Mac, and never looked back...). After about a half hour or so, we finally got it working. So my point after all that is that if I reinstall Leopard, I'm afraid I'll get just the blue screen again -- and I don't want to go through THAT again...
In the thread, someone mentioned using Pacifist to install just parts of it. If I tried that, does anyone know exactly WHAT parts I would need to reinstall? Or does anyone even know if I'm at risk of getting the "blue screen" again, if I do either this OR a full install? Will it "reset" all that stuff I typed into the Terminal to the way it was when I first installed Leopard, or is whatever I changed in there now permanently changed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's 95% sure to be a software problem - but...
You need to start eliminating possibilities. Like, you need to try a different USB cable. You need to try the printer and cable on a different computer.
Go to Blue Apple Menu > About this Mac > More Info and check to be sure your Mac knows there's a Brother printer attached.
Use your Apple Hardware Test CD (or maybe your model has that as a program on the original Install DVD) and run the test.

I am trying to print wirelessly from my ipad to an epson stylus SX438W. The connection appears fine on both devices but the ipad cannot connect to the printer. It has been working fine for the past 4 months. Can anyone help?
Have you tried restarting the printer? Reboot the iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
Message of "printer offline" when trying to print
Hello,
I have iphone 4s and a HP wireless printer a little less than 3 years old. When trying to print something from my iphone, it keeps giving me the message "printer offline" with choices for continue or cancel. I hit continue, but same message comes up a minute or two later. This happens even when my printer is awake and wirelss signal is strong. My phone finds the printer when i try to print, but keep getting this printer offline message. Any help would be appreciated. Is your particular printer model AirPrint compatible? Here's the list, as well as guidnance for setup and use:

If your HP printer is not one of those on the HP list, then you wiould need some othe app to print from your iPhone. Search the App Store. -
Hi to the Mac Folks,
I have 10.6.8 and have installed two new printers HP 8610 and an Epson 7880 and can not find the Page Set-up menu anywhere in the applications I a trying to print from. This is regardless of either printer selected.
I primarily print photos from Photoshop CS5. The term Page Set-up has gone missing in the file pull down menu. Can't make any choices There are no page sizes, paper types, appearsto be locked on a 13x19 size paper format. Either being too large or too small.
Saw a 2008 locked issue about this however none of the help fit my situation, options discussed are not available to me.
Preview has no "Page Setup" - or does it?
Does the constant struggle with computer compatability weirdness issues ever end or is it a enslavement scheme?
WoodyHey,
if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders. You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

I have Thunderbird version 24.3.0 downloaded to my Windows 7 computer.
When I send an email in Thunderbird it looks fine and when the recipient receives it, it looks fine on the screen, but when she tries to print it, the font is unreadably small. This happens on every email I send her, but not other people's emails she receives. It has happened on some of the emails I receive back from her that contain the information I sent her.
Is there a setting I need to fix or something I can do on my end to address this so this doesn't happen. She is receiving email through AOL online. I believe she is viewing it through either IE or Chrome.I recently tried sending myself an email through Thunderbird to another email account to see if that was the case, but the email came in with a font so tiny that it was unreadable. I had chosen a font type and size (arial 10) and just coming into my outlook inbox was virtually unreadable.
And referring to the person I work with, she doesn't have problems getting anyone else's emails, just ones I send from Thunderbird. -
Getting error message when trying to print (LR4)
Hi All,
I am getting this message (/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter/Filter/pdftopdf.app/Contents/MacOS/pdftopdf failed) when trying to print
through the LR4 print module to my Epson 3880
I am running OSX 10.7.3 and have just downloaded and installed Epson driver v8.64
Cant seem to get around this.
Any ideas?
thanks.Got this one today.
In the end I solved it by deleting /Library/Printers/Epson, then used Software Update to install new drivers. -

---------------------------------------------------------------------------I know this is a little late. I recently had the same issue. The LOV showed the values properly in our Vision instance, but it didnt work in our Test instance. Oracle support wasnt able to pinpoint it. I discovered that the problem was with a particular System profile option (CONC_REPORT_ACCESS_LEVEL). It was set to null. It should either be set to "User" or "Responsibility". This particular value is used in the "WHERE" clause for the SQL statement used to fetch data for the LOV. You can check these settings using the Sys Admin responsibility.
Now, if I can just get my XML report (AP Checks) to run in a single step, instead of two separate steps... :)
I hope this helps. Regards, Mark.
