You need a phone cord as mentioned in its manual:
Test fax setup
You can test your fax setup to check the status of the printer and to make sure it is set up correctly for faxing. Perform this test after you have completed setting up the printer for faxing. The test does the following:
• Tests the fax hardware
• Verifies the correct type of phone cord is connected to the printer
• Checks that the phone cord is plugged into the correct port
• Checks for a dial tone
• Checks for an active phone line
• Tests the status of your phone line connection
The printer prints a report with the results of the test. If the test fails, review the report for information on how to fix the problem and rerun the test.

If not I'm not sure if Epson has an app, but there are third party printer apps such as Print n Share, Print Central and Printopia that should work for you (just to name the three most commonly recommended, there are plenty of apps so read the reviews and pick the one best for you)

You actually can as most routers come with a web interface that lets you tinker with all things with regard to set up and connection.
You have to choose though as there are other routers that would require you to plug-it in to a computer first, as they have a desktop application to make way for easier set-up.
But for everything else, it is done through a web client which is just like accessing any web site.

FIrst, I HATE AT&T, the coverage is awful and I am very happy with Verizon. I would like to use the iPhone as more of a PDA, and having a PDA with wireless connectivity would be great.

Well you can be sure Apple will not make a product for Verizon for at least five years, as that is how long its contract lasts with ATT. That contract prevents Apple from allowing the iPhone to work on anybody else's network, and from making any phones for non-GSM networks. The only other GSM network in the US is T-Mobil. SO I suspect Apple can make a non iPhone for T-Mobile before its deal with ATT expires.
Also, you can try going to ATT and telling them you want the iPhone, however, you will not provide them your social security number, and ask are there any options available to you. They may tell you that you can use the iPhone as a Go-Phone (they are not adversing this, but it is in their policy manual). After a month, cancel the go phone service (as there is no contract). Also, ATT generally allows you to cancel a contract with 30 days. So they might just let you cancel the contract, and your iPhone will probably still work (the non phone features).

Yes you can. In the bottom right hand corner of the iTunes main window there is a drop down menu. Select the AirPort Express base station(s) you'd like to send your music to and also select 'Computer'. Not only will it play through all, it will play IN SYNC!
I can't remember with which version of iTunes this was introduced, best to grab the latest version to be sure.

HT4356 Can you choose to print B&W vs Color over airprint?

Does anyone have advice on how to print a color doc in B&W? We are printing from emails to a color laser but don't want to waste ink on the drafts of our documents. We receive a substantial amount of layout material and it is always in color. We don't need the color for our purposes. Other than purchasing another printer, I'm curious if there is another solution.

From an iPad? There is no way by default. You may find luck with a paid printing app, but I generally try and avoid those. If you are doing email printing from the Mac let me know and I can help!
You might also check the printer settings itself. Perhaps you can disable color, turning it on from the printer only when needed.

I'm still getting use to my mac vs my old Windows. After the new version of os x comes out(10.5 leopard or whatever animal they choose)-can I install it over my, by then, 10.4.9 and get 10.5? And if I don't upgrade to 10.5, can I still get most of the newer stuff like the people who have 10.3.9 are still getting?

However, traditionally, i.e. in Jaguar, Panther, and Tiger an Update Install option has been available, permitting you to install the new OS over the old while preserving your applications, personal data, and network configuration. It is likely Apple will continue to offer an Update Install option, however that is pure speculation at this point.

If you mean Security Updates, for example, only Apple knows whether or not Apple they will continue to release such updates for 10.4 after 10.5 (Leopard) is released.
If you mean "new applications" such as new versions of iTunes, etc., again that's up to Apple to determine the minimum system requirements, such as version of Mac OS X.
In other words, no one here can say definitively and Apple never publishes general statements on such.

How much sound can you send over TC?

I know you can send sound from itunes, but what software do you need to send as much other sound over TC?
I want to use sounds from both games, safari, itunes, logic pro and vlc without an annoying delay if thats pussible?

That depends on your network, not on the application. This is the only application that I'm aware of that will stream all audio on your computer, so you don't have a lot of choice here.

a Brody, I think you are the one that helped my former boss back in 2007 when his MacBook Pro had wireless connection issues? He still has his solution posted on his blog (moved his Airport option to the top of the configuration list and then zapped the PRAM) but I can't follow those steps with MacBook. Obviously, there are lots of discussions out there about this topic, but my wireless connection only works part of the time and it goes in and out and then will work in some rooms and not others, but not consistently. I thought you might know how to fix this issue for MacBook since Mike said his solution is still working for his Pro. Thanx.

How can you write over the other JTablecells while putting in information

like windows excel when you write in a cell and you get to the border everything covers the other cells... when you press enter the string is in the textfield. But with the default settings of JTable or is it the DefaultTableEditor or the DefaultTableRenderer i don't know, when you write someting in a cell and get to the border everything is pushed to the left...i don't like that...

thanks for your response. Meanwhile I found out, that in fact things work fine. I "tested" the outputfile in opening it with the Notepad editor. That was not the proper way to do it. Making a file dump, I saw that everything was alright. So if one wants to work on such a file with the editor, one should use the Writer classes.
