ideally if you want to print from the ipad you should have an airprint enabled printer:

however, there are workarounds, you can download a decent third party app to print such as print n share, printcentral or printdirect

I have a Canon Selphy CP800 which was working perfectly with my Mac up until i upgraded the latter to Yosemite 10.10.2. Checked the printer settings and it doesn't offer a "postcard size" option under the Paper Size tab anymore.
Have uninstalled and installed the driver from Canon Support but still doesn't work. Anyone else experienced this before? How did you get this resolved?

It connects your images with Pro Labs around the world. Only USA and Canada labs so far but more are being added all the time. I hope this helps.

Canon IR Copiers printing from iPad

So I deployed the iPrint Appliance 1.0.1.69 to solve our "Can't print from iPad" problem and now am getting stuck at the printer/copier. We're getting a PDL IMG DATA INVALID error on our Canon IR 4075.
Anyone else have this problem and conquered it? Any suggestions where to start?
I enabled LPR support, which didn't make a difference.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Works fine with our HP printers.

How to transfer music and photos to a new pc from ipad

hi everyone,
i just got a new laptop from my office.my itunes libraray was earlier in personal laptop,but i want to have it in offcial too. i transfred apps to new itunes on new lappy via my iphone & ipad by transfer purchases. but its music and photo is not transfered. how to transfer it , plz guide..

Music purchased from iTunes should have copied over via Transfer Purchases. For music from other sources (e.g. CDs) you will either need to use your backup or find a third-party program for your computer that can copy them off your iPad and iPhone.
To copy photos to your computer that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a PC you can use the windows camera wizard, on a Mac Aperture, iPhoto or Image Capture
To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to an iPad or iPhone, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.

Photoshop CS5 - Compatibility with "Canon Easy Photo Print Pro"

I have just downloaded and installed the trial version of Photoshop CS5, only to discover that in the Automate option (Under Files), Canon's Easy PhotoPrint Pro is no longer listed.
Canon have advised that it is not their problem.
I found that with Photoshop CS3, that this method of printing, provided most accurate colours,
I would be interested in other subscribers, who have CS5 and who print with the Canon Pixma Pro 9000,
(1) Have you found a method of using Canon Easy Photo Print Pro, and if not
(2) What settings do you find give the best results from your printer - What options do you select in the print dialogue box, etc.

Thanks for this information - Canon came back to me with a similar responce.
Pending a resolution, which allows something similar to Canon's Easy PhotoPrint Pro to be installed as an "Add-in" to Photoshop CS5, I plan to allow Photoshop to manage colours.
This requires you to disable the printer from managing colours.
For those who have a similar problem and are not sure, how to disable Colour Management in the Pixma Pro 9000, the following is a quote from Canon:

Please go to the 'Printing Preferences' and then select the 'Main' tab.
Here you will see a 'Colour / Intensity' option, make sure this is set

and then go to the 'Matching' tab. Once here make sure 'Colour Correction'
is set to 'None'. This will deactivate the colour management completely.

I tried with Canon's drivers, with Gimp 5, anything... one time the printer started working, then stopped after the first pass (yellow color)... frustrating...

Hi there,
If you have had no luck with the Canon or Gutenprint drivers then you may have a printer problem. Have you been able to print from it using your memory card directly connected?
If you think/know the printer is okay then I would look at the cups error log to determine why the spool is failing. This log is located in the Console application.

Selphy Photo Print software alternative?

I was able to use https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5510939 to set up my Selphy CP900 on my MacbookAir - however, the printing software won't install. It's called Selphy Photo Print. I can get the printer to work, but was looking forward to using this software to quickly resize photos. I often print smaller than 4x6 and would like to put more than one photo on a piece of photo paper. I'm familiar with collage-making software on my phone, but don't want to have to make a collage every tme I want to print pics. I'm also not interested in putting photos on a memory card and printing straight from the printer. Any alternatives or work arounds?

The CP810 was not sold here in the United States. This unit appears to be a model that was sold in Europe.

That printer is not on the list of approved Airprint printers.

You will have to use a universal printing app, such as Print Central or Print n Share. Look in the app store for printing options.

You will have to print with one of the many print apps. Canon has some in the App Store.
