HT4356 Printing from iPad or iPhone
I can not always find my printer when trying to print. Get "no air printer found" printer is on same network. Any suggestion?
1. Turn the router, iPad and printer off.
2. Turn on the router and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.
3. Turn on printer and then wait 30 seconds to let it complete its start-up process.
4. Turn on your iPad and test print.

I have an Ipad and Iphone but I don't have an Airprint at home but only a WIFI printer, my question is if I connect the wifi printer to Airport express, can I print from Ipad and Iphone ? Please help me if anyone knows about this.
Unfortunately, connecting a non-AirPrint-enabled printer to an AirPort base station's USB port will not make it AirPrint-ready.
You will need to use another solution, like Printopia, to be able to print to this printer from an iOS device. -
You really cannot print from iPad or iPhone apps!
You cannot really print from iPad or iPhone apps! And that is not good! Of course you can print from web and email on the iPad! But why not from the apps. Why not. This is nonsense!

Yes I really can. And that is good.

If you want to print what appears on an iPad screen but the app does not have a "share" icon, take a screenshot and print it.
To print directly from an iPad you need an AirPrint - enabled printer on the same wireless network as the iPad. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are AirPrint-enabled.
If you do not have an AirPrint printer, a number of workarounds exist that enable the use of any printer you normally use, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades. Search for the following products:
handyPrint (Mac only, donation-supported)
Printopia (Mac only, $19.95 with free trial)
These are utilities you install on the Mac you normally use for printing, enabling it to act as an AirPrint print server. The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. The iPad needs nothing else, no iOS apps need to be installed and no configuration is necessary. If your computer can print, so can the iPad, using one of these utilities on your Mac.
Equivalent utilities may exist for PCs but I have no experience with them - I suggest https://www.collobos.com
You can also buy this standalone hardware print server, bypassing the need for a computer altogether:
http://www.lantronix.com/it-management/xprintserver/xprintserver.html
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device. -
I have recently purchased a Ricoh Aficio SP204SN which is a network-ready printer. I can print from a PC but I like to know if I can also setup my ipad and iphones to use that printer? And if you can how can I do it?

HP Premium "air printer" is not printing from iPad, but iPhone printing is fine
Greetings
I have the problem that no printouts are showing at my HP premium if printed from iPad. The iPad can see the printer, box is saying that the print is getting prepared and then sent to the printer, but it never arrives. Printerque stays empty. Printing from my MacBook via Wi-Fi is working fine as well as printing from my iPhone.
iPad 2 with iOS7, iPhone5 IoS 7, HP premium photosmart C410, MacBook Pro with Mavericks, New Air Timecapsule a/c and n wireless.
Things I tried without success:
- Use printer wired (to Timecapsule) as well as wireless
- Reset Printer to Manufacturer default
- Turn off iPad, turn off Printer, Turn off Air Timecapsule
KlausDid you change the wifi setting on your iPad to match the printer?

How to print from iPad or iPhone to Lexmark printer?
I have tried all that was suggested by Lexmark and Apple forums, still no luck.. looking for someone who figured out the 'trick' of making this work
I have a Lexmark X6570 on a wireless network
I have installed LexPrint Listener on a Windows PC and confirmed the service is running
As there is no 'control panel' or configuration capability on this listener, not sure what it is looking for or doing
I have shared the Lexmark printer that is configured on this PC (and it works fine from the PC)
I have configured my Norton Internet Security firewall to allow TCP and UDP via port 9195
I have installed the Lexmark Mobile Printing app v1.3 on my iPad and iPhone (both running latest IOS
TROUBLESHOOTING
All devices are on the same wireless network and SSID, same IP subnet
Printer, PC, iPad and iPhones are all working on the wireless network normally
I have shut off the Norton Firewall temporarily, still no luck
ANYONE get this Rube Goldberg solution working???? Don't really want to buy a new iPrint capable printer, the Lexmark works great otherwise.... I also don't want to drag a sniffer home to diagnose!I think Lexmark also has an app. And, while I don't have a lexmark printer, I have a kodak one, but I use Print n SHare to print to it from my iPad. So there are a few options for you to explore

How to print from iPad and iPhone with no air print printer
Have a Kodak hero 9.1 printer. How can I print from iPad and iphone
Kodak may offer an app to help you. Check the App Store.
I have an Epson printer. There's an Epson app, but its abilities are much more limited than AirPrint (e.g., Epson app does not print from Safari). -
Officejet Pro 8600 2-sided printing from iPad or iPhone
Hi - I just purchased an officejet pro 8600 so that I can print from my iPad or iPhone. It has the 2 sided printing but I want to know if there is a way to turn of the 2 sided printing from these devices. Right now when I print it automatically defaults to the 2-sided printing but I would prefer 1 side printing only. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!Hi,

Printing from IPad or Iphone always goes to tray 1 but tray 2 is the default tray.
Product Name: OfficeJet 8500A Plus
Op Systems: Win 7 & Apple Ipad and Iphone and MAC
Error messages: None
Changes: never worked, no changes
I have two trays in my printer. Tray 1 is used for envelopes and tray 2 is standard letter paper. Tray 2 is the default tray for normal printing and works perfectly from my Windows 7 Desktop.Tray 1 is the only one that can handle envelopes so there is no choice on which tray to use.
However, when I try to print from my IPad, IPone or my wife's MAC, the print always goes to tray 1 which contains only envelopes.
There does not seem to be any options in the IPad or Iphone to select a tray but I would have thought it would go to the default tray that is setup in the printer.
Because of this, it makes the eprint capability of the officejet 8500A Plus useless. I love having the top tray for envelopes but I am not sure I would have purchased the two tray option if I had know of this difficulty ahead of time.
Looking forward to your reply
Ray

If you don't have ePrint Home & Biz installed, follow the steps below to get the app:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02775166&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3795314&tmp...
Once the app been installed you may shange the tray settings as following:
If the HP product has more than one paper tray, you can select the tray that you want to print from.
NOTE:HP ePrint Home & Biz automatically selects the photo tray if it is available and you are printing photos. If the photo tray is not available, photos print from the main tray.
On your mobile device, tap HP ePrint Home & Biz .
Figure 5: The HP ePrint Home & Biz icon
Open the image or document that you want to print.
Tap the Print Settings icon ( ) or ( ) at the bottom of the Print Preview screen, and then tap the HP product name.
If there is more than one tray available, tap the paper tray that you want to use, and then tap Done .
Additionally. below you may find any possible print options provided by the app:

I used to be able to print from my ipad and iphone5 but can't now. Why?
does it not show a printer when you use airprint? were you using airprint or a thirdparty app to print? Some basic steps would to be power cycle your iPad and iPhone and also the printer, and make sure they are all on the same wireless network if you are using air print.

Can I print from iPad or iPhone with extreme
.
iOS devices use AirPrint to send print jobs to printers. However, the printer must be AirPrint-enabled. Connecting a USB printer to an AirPort base station does not, in itself, make it AirPrint-enabled.

What do I do if my printer is not on the list for AirPrint?
1. Buy a new printer that is.
2. See if the manufacturer of your current printer has an app.
3. Try a 3rd party app such as Fingerprint, Print N Share, or Printopia. -

hi
ideally if you want to print from the ipad you should have an airprint enabled printer:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
however, there are workarounds, you can download a decent third party app to print such as print n share, printcentral or printdirect -

You will have to use a universal printing app, such as Print Central or Print n Share. Look in the app store for printing options.
