HT4367 How to update Apple TV firmware 6 beta when beta expired?

I installed Apple TV firmware 6.1.4. Now I see a message that that firmare has expired, and instructions to update connecting the Apple TV to a computer with iTunes. I did that, but iTunes downloads firmware version 5.3 which isn't capable to install. In the developers site I can't find a way to download the current version of the Apple TV firmware. Is there a way to pass the message that the firmware has expired and update to the current version?

If you want to move to a new, separate iCloud account you have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Finally, if you have any data in either iCloud account that you no longer want (such as someone else's contacts) you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it.

Same problem here, the Apple TV 3rd gen. has suggested an update, but despite the complete download, the process failed on the second step(progress bar) and I've got an "connect to iTune with micro USB cable" splash screen, no white LED on ATV.
I've connected the ATV unit to my "up to date for all soft" 2013 iMac, and I've got the restore Apple TV dialog. The download completes, but the update process failed with an "1611 error" warning. It seems that his error is related to virus protection software. But... I do not use any virus protection software... so I can't apply any suggested workaround to solve the problem.
I've now a dead box Apple TV.
Bad, bad move when selecting "apply update" on a pretty usable ATV.

No. Firmware updates have to done on the platform for which the iPod is formatted.
Version 1.2.1 of the iPod software is contained in iTunes in any event.

I just downloaded the latest itunes and i cant figure out how to update my iphone apps on my computer now. I go to the toolbar on the top and press search for updates and it tells me that the latest version of itunes is already downloaded or that there are no updates available at this time. Previously, i would be able to go to the apps page on itunes and then press search for updates and then download all. Then I would sync with my phone and both phone and computer would be updated. Now I can only update on the phone and I know Im going to encounter where it tells me the info for downloading is too large to do it on your phone, hence my first question.....where do I go to update my apps on my computer????

While you're in itunes, with the leftside window open, click on Apps. Then, look across the top middle of your itunes screen. You will see several choices: All, Iphone/iPad Touch, Ipad, Ipod Games, List, and Updates.
Clicking on each of these gives you a different view.
When you select ALL you will see all of your apps. When you select Updates you sill see only the apps that need to be updated. When you are in Updates you will see the Update button in the lower right corner.

My 2nd generation apple tv resets every 30 seconds on the entry screen and won't allow renting of movies or tv. It shuts off the radio when it resets however does not do it with most other modes (like netflix). I have restarted. The suggestion is to download software 5.2.1 or higher. How do I do it? While your ATV is updating it will get kinka scary since there will be periods when a blue screen with "no signal" appears monentarily. Just wait it out. This is quite a long process and the unit will reset itself and the normal menu screen will reappear when it is finished updating.

My iMac/iTunes/app store has stored a previous version of my apple ID password, and I cannot persuade it to store the new one. How do I get it to "forget" the old one and remember the new one?
I have tried logging out and back in again, deregistering and re-registering, etc.
This happened after I got burgled - my laptop got stolen so I changed a lot of passwords and restored it from a time machine backup onto this imac.
Surely starting off with a time machine backup shouldn't mean I'm stuck with the same password for all eternity?

Right. To figure out which of the Updates is asking for your ID, do not click Update All. Click on each app, one at at time to Update (this would be under the Update option in the App Store - you will only see apps there with the Update next to them that actually have updates pending). If it asks for the password to your Apple ID, then that app should be deleted.
So, it is good that her ID is the one signed on to everything on the phone now. Once you delete the apps from the phone, then she will purchase new versions of those apps using the App Store on her device. When she does that, the app will be purchased with that ID (or if free, will be associated with that ID since it was the one that downloaded it).
If she is primarily concerned about her Line app and her photos but nothing else, then you can just press on one of the icons on each Home screens until they all wiggle, and then click on the little "x" in the upper left-hand corner of the icon to delete it. Core apps will not have an "x" since they cannot be deleted. So, just delete everything with an "x" except the Line app....
