No, computers do not connect directly to the ATV.
If you would like to access content on the computer from the ATV, enable HomeSharing.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
If this program doesn't work, open  > About this Mac and tell us the generation of your Mac. AirPlay Mirroring needs a Mid 2011 or newer iMac, so if your iMac is supported, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion

  • My extreme doesn't see my express.  I need help connecting for music.

I have an express that i believe is A1084

Unfortunately, Apple dropped all support of the older.....8+ years....model A1084 and A1088 AirPort Express versions in Mavericks.
If you have a Mac running Leopard (10.5.x), Snow Leopard (10.6.x) or a PC using a 5.x version of AirPort Utility, the Express can be administered that way.

  • Need Assistance With Syncing Calendars Across 2 Apple ID's

Hi, I have three devices - a home iMac, a personal iPhone and a work iPad. I just upgraded to Mavericks without knowing that you had to use iCloud to sync calendars and I'm having a little trouble getting everything to sync properly...
My home iMac and personal iPhone calendars are syncing fine over iCloud - both are using my Apple ID which is my personal Gmail address. The issue is my iPad. It is provided to me by my company so I have to use an Apple ID which is my work/company e-mail address. Anything I add to my iPad calendar is not syncing to my iPhone and iMac. I'm assuming this is because of the different Apple ID's but I'm not positive.
I really need all three of these calendars to sync - i.e., when I add something to my home computer I'd like for it to appear on my iPad. And most importantly, when I'm out at work setting up appointments on my Ipad (I am a traveling sales rep and do this very frequently) - I need them to sync up to my home computer and iPhone.
And assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Add your personal account to the iPad, turn Calendars on.

    Thanks!

I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.) Or maybe it was they had me transfer a folder to the EHD. I don't exactally remember it was a few years back. But I tried to plug in the EHD before starting and...nothing. Still says same thing, "locate file."

I cannot get iTunes to automatically launch at startup in Windows 7. I need it to do this so my Apple TV 'finds' my Music Library, which is stored on an external hard-drive, connected to my Windows 7 PC. Anyone know how I do this? I cannot seem to find anything on Google, which is surprising.
iTunes helper launches OK, but not iTunes itself. Am I being dim?
    Thanks

The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.

    I ask for help please

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?
    Thanks again!

  • Data Federator on Unix - Need to connect to Informix

    Hi,
We are planning to Deploy Data Federator in Linux - SuSE 64 bit environment. We also have a need to connect to Informix and Teradata databases.
According to the supported platforms document, only ODBC drivers are available to connect to Informix and Teradata databases.
Is there a driver bridge available for these ODBC connectivity only databases?
Update: Didnt notice there were Unix ODBC drivers available. I think we should be fine.
Will it be supported if wel use the Informix Type 4 JDBC driver (http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/tools/jdbc/) as a Generic JDBC driver? Is there any performance impact?
    Appreciate the assistance.
    Thanks,
    Thiag.

How will you access your third-party module in a NT box from UNIX? If it will be over TCP/IP, you may use the UTL_TCP package.

What cable do I need to connect an I-pod classic to a Boze wave machine?

If you're trying to transfer the music, from the Nano to the Air, you have to either download your purchased songs again in the purchased tab of iTunes or sync them to the Air, using iTunes on your computer.
Its been a few years since I've used a Nano, but IIRC, the only way to get the music on the device to begin with is by syncing with iTunes, so the songs have to be in your iTunes library.

itunes is not recognizing my ipod.  there is no sync under file.  I need to download the music just purchased from itunes.
    can anyone help?

Do you see your iPod under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window in the source list when it's connect to your Mac?
BTW...  you sync iTunes media from the tabs in the iTunes menu, not from the File menu unless you are transferring iTunes purchases from the iPod to your Mac.
Might need to zoom to see this graphic. I have "Music" selected as an example.
