HT4436 How do i send tunes created on my macbook pro's Garage Band to the icloud so I can have them on my iPad?
I can see how to move songs created on iPad to the cloud but cannot see how to this from my MacBook Pro, so i can have them on my iPad. Can someone help please? thanks
The iOS version of GarageBand can utilize iCloud to share songs between iOS devices.
I don't believe there is a corresponding feature in the OS X version of GarageBand.

Trying to attach pdf files to emails I'm sending to myself. Instead of attaching the file, it copies the text. I want the file so I can have it on my iPad. I've been able to do this in the past, but not the last two tries. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
You aren't doing anything wrong.
If the PDF is short enough, your iPad Mail app will display the text as part of the mail.
Actually it is still an attachment.
Tap and HOLD on the text and you should see options to "Open In..." that will allow you to open the PDF in most PDF readers such as iBooks, GoodReader, etc. -
if i have one iPad and I want all the apps that are there how do I copy that so i can have them on another iPad the same way as i have them on the first iPad?
If you want both iPad to be identical .....
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases.
After it finishes transferring all your apps to the Mac, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
Sync the iPad and eject it when it is complete.
Quit iTunes
Connect the second iPad.
Launch iTunes
Right click on the iPad name on the left side and select - Restore from Backup
Select the backup of the first iPad and let it restore from that backup.
When it finishes restoring - sync with iTunes to transfer all of the apps and any other content that you want onto that iPad
Eject the iPad when you are done.
Check the second iPad and if all of the content did not sync as you wanted - or you want to remove some of the content - connect it again and then choose the content that you want - uncheck what you do not want - and click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. -
My MacBook Pro (purchased August 2010) crashed at the beginning of a 2 month trip in India. Whenever I turn it on, I get either a grey screen or the apple logo and then a message telling me to restart my comp (this happens when I try to boot from the disc). I've done everything short of cracking the case open to reposition the HD, and that's only becuase I can't get my hands on a adequately sized screwdriver.
Any thoughts? How do I get my computer services while in India? I'd be okay with shipping, but I can't even get a hold of apple without spending an astronomical amount in cell-phone fees. Help?If this happens when you try to start from the installer DVD, then you have a hardware problem. Getting it repaired in India probably isn't easy to do. You could arrange with Apple to ship back to the US, but you would need to arrange with AppleCare for that.

I have all my contacts on my Iphone, I have recently set up an I cloud account and want to transfer my contacts from my Iphone, to I cloud so they can be uploaded onto my Ipad?
Can I do this or is there a easier way?I never said that it would, I am correcting the entry errors right now.
Now that you have set iCloud as the default account for new contacts (as previously you were not entering them in the iCloud account) can you enter 1 test contact into your iPhone, wait a short while then go to www.icloud.com and check that it is there, if it is it not please refresh the page. Once it appears on the iCloud website it should also appear on the iPad.
Try that and post back with the result.
Note: Contacts that are in Hotmail or Facebook are not in iCloud and will need you to either transfer them to iCloud (bad idea for Facebook) or add the same accounts to the iPad as are present on the iPhone. -

Do you have Windows 7 or XP? If you have Win7, install the iCloud control panel for Windows and set it up there (Ignore the fact that it shows IE in the control panel, once you check it off, you'll be able to select Safari).

Well, if it was the Family Pack, YES... but only for Macs that support it, generally speaking it cannot be installed on a Mac that came with a later version of OSX.

A computer illiterate friend created 3 accounts on his iPhone 5 but forgot the passwords. He can't reset the password as his yahoo address is no longer valid. Erasing the phone doesn't solve the issue as the Apple server identifies the hardware as registered. How to register the phone with Apple?
I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. How can he register the phone? I read different threads and found out that only Apple care can do that. We're in Romania and don't know where to call.
