When I type the message on my MAC (OSX10. or on my iPhone 4S (os6) it looks good but the reciepient does not see the "@" symbol. It instead shows as a "Space" I have contacted the skype team by a chat window and went through to the etchnical support person who was still unable to provide a solution. I am having this same problem when I send a text message to a customer I have been symply been ending my text with my email address so they have a means to reply but unbeknownst to me it has sent with the @ symbol my end but not recieved. Why?

In Apple mail, the attachment symbol does not appear in the list of sent items. So you cannot sort sent emails based on whether or not they have an attachment. Is there a way to fix this?

I think my question wasn't clear. I know how to display the attachment header (I use classic layout) but the problem is that the paperclip icon does not appear against the messages that contain attachments. See screenshot below. The attachment column is displayed but is blank. These are my sent items and I know for a fact that most of them have attachments. Can you help?

Secuirty lock symbols does not appear

Recently the lock symbol which used to appear when accessing bank account sites, payment sites etc does not appear and Im concerned that my computer is at risk - has anyone else experienced this problem?

In Firefox version 3.6+ the lock icon is in the Status Bar at the bottom of the Firefox window when you are on a secure site. You should become familiar with the Site Identity Button (see below) as the Status Bar will no longer exist in Firefox 4.
The newer method of site security information is the '''Site Identity Button''' at the left end of the URL/Location/Address Bar; it changes color based on the "security level." See these articles:

Just bought a Macbook Air. I does not appear to be compatible with my LCD projector. What LCD projectors work best with MacBook Air?

My Cannon LCD LV-7210 projector does not recognize my Macbook Air nor does my Macbook Air recognize it is attached to an LCD projector. Yes, I do have the proper adapter.

I've just purchased a *27in (aluminium case) LCD Cinema Display* and am using it with my MacBook Pro, linked by the supplied three-jack cable (Mini DVI display jack).
The 27" display uses Mini DisplayPort, not Mini DVI.
But I also have *a white-cased MacBook (purchased in 2008) which has an older type of display socket*, certainly not compatible with the Mini DVI type.
The early Mac Book uses Mini DVI.

No. Mini DVI is single-link, and does not support the resolution needed for the 27" display.

Add symbol does not appear in contacts

Try going into Settings > iCloud and toggling the Contacts button off and on and see if you can then add contacts in the Contacts app

The lock symbol does not appear when I open a secure page in firefox 4.0. Has this been removed?

Previously, using firefox 3.6.1, when I opened a secure or encrypted page, the lock icon appeared on that page.
When I upgraded to firefox 4.0, the lock icon is no longer appearing when I open a secure page. Please confirm whether this has been removed or in the alternative whether there is a way to determine that the secure or encrypted page is indeed secure to use.

In Firefox 4 you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions. 
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. 
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL. 
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

HT5922 the air play icon does not apear in ITunes. How do I get air play to work?

I have been trying to get Airplay to work on my computer. When I go to support on Apple it mentions clicking on the Airplay Icon but the only problem is that the Icon is nowhere to be found. I am running itunes version 11.1.5.5 on a windows 7 operating system on the computer. Airplay works just fine if I am streaming directly from my Iphone or Ipad to my Sony Stereo, or Apple TV. My Apple TV is running version 6.1 and it can see my computer when I select it on the menu. How can I stream my music from my computer using Itunes to my Apple TV?

Air play works and not .. Symbol visible and not ..

I use Iphone 4, Apple TV 2 and connected to the stereo amplifier to listen to music.
Music I play from the integrated music player or I stream online music through radio box app, problem is the same
with both ways:
Basically it works, but.. Often the Air Play symbol does not appear, so I can't start the Apple TV.
Than I found out two things really help/make a difference:
A) Turn off the WLAN in the Iphone settings and on again.
B) Turn on Apple TV manually, turn off again.
If I do A) or B) or often both required than the Airplay symbol shows again, so I can finally start to listen.
This happens when I leave home and come back, or even if only the iphone is in the pocket of my jeans,
looses wifi signal (ok) but when trying to restart/reconnect, no Air Play symbol, so A+B needed ..
This really starts to annoy me, it could be really perfect, but this problem happens too often ..
I really hope one can help!

The password save prompt box does not appear on logging in to certain password protected webpages; is there another way of adding their passwords to Firefox sync?

The usual suspects from Microsoft, Adobe, Wacom, Apple and Google, all of which are checked and no updates currently found.
With webpages such as <https://shop.avanquest.com/members/?company_rs=51>, PayPal and Windows Live e.g. after correct login details are entered into the online form and login is performed successfully. The "key" symbol does not appear to the left of the "awesome bar", neither does the password save pop up box and so the login details for the site cannot be saved in Firefox sync.
This is not specific to https secure sites, as I have been able to save the passwords for several https secure sites and conversely, I have been unable to save the passwords for some http non secure URLs. I have ensured that, whilst trying to enter a page or site into Firefox sync, it has the only tab open.
There does not seem to be a way of manually entering website details (URL, User Name, Password etc.) into Firefox Sync; how can I save the password details for such sites?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
