HT4463 I am simply trying to download a free app and I keep getting a "100" error - I'm about to send this thing into the pool!!

I am new to the Mac and am trying to download an RSS free app and I keep getting an error '100' and it tells me my id is disabled, yet when I check it all seems fine?? WHAT am I doing wrong?? (besides switching from a PC to a Mac?)

I am trying to download a free app and keep getting the message 'unable to download application' and says I have to sign in to the iTunes store...which I have! What else do I need to do?
We are using wireless...guess it's 3G. Are not having internet problems, synced with the computer even. Can't seem to get anything with iTunes even though we are signed in.

I have my card on file and I'm trying to download a free app and it is telling me my card was declined but its a free app what is going on
You must have a payment method in your iTunes account, even for free content. It is used to verify your identity. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 for information on how to create a billing method if you don't have a credit card.

We are trying to down load apps and we keep getting an error after we put password in that we need to update date and time ?
I have checked calendar is correct and time on top of screen is correct?Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On. If that is set correctly - try a reset.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

He also tried to download the youtube app and it is telling him the same thing. His wifi is on and he is able to get on the internet so what is the problem???? Why are they trying to charge him for the free app???? Can someone plz help me....
Those are fee apps, should not be actually charged. Are you sure is not being asked to verify he's the actual account holder by adding billing info to the account? Even though your're not getting billled, the account holder identity still has to be verified.

Trying to download free apps on my Iphone, and it always asks for my credit card.
does this occur to other people, and how can I by pass this.If the option for "None" is not present, then there may be a balance due on your account. There is also a post by another user - mountaingoat girl that may help. I have a screenshot of her instructions (Credit to her).

It is correct. Update your account settings and information. If the security code is all that is needed to verify your account, that is pretty easy to fix.

I tried to download a free app.It was keep telling that I had to verify my credit card.In the end they charged me 1,98eur! Do you know why?

This is the official answer from Apple.
"When you update your billing information (in this case when you filed your credit card), the iTunes Store will place an authorization hold on your credit card to verify your account information. You might see this authorization request on your online statement.
Don't worry, this is not an actual charge, it is simply a test to confirm that your credit card account is active and has credit available to accommodate transactions."
