HT4489 calendar events missing

Past calendar events are starting to go missing. Why is this happening, and how can I recover them?

Welcome to the Apple community.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to the Calendars section and change the sync option to something other than 'Events 1 month back'.

  • Some iPhone Calendar Events missing

Have MobileMe (formerly Mac.com) for several years. Since last fall (2009) have tried to trust the 'Cloud' syncing Contacts and Calendars over the air. Worked for the most part. Lately have seen missing items or events on Calendar.
Notice today that several calendar events are missing on the iPhone 3G (3.1.3). However, on MobileMe (using Firefox on a PC), the Calendar appears to be accurate as well as iCal on the iMac. Turned off the calendars in the Settings and then turned them back on, but to no avail. This is weird, because Contacts do not appear to be affected. Anyone else having issues. Thanks, Todd

    Ah, I figured it out.
Under Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/Calendars - there is a 'Sync' action that allows for 'Events' to be sync'd '2 Weeks Back', '1 Month Back', '3 Months Back', '6 Months Back' or ' All Events'. Originally, I had '1 Month Back' checked and thus older events did not show on the iPhone.
I checked the 'Events 6 Months Back' and it brought in older events from iCal and MobileMe Calendar.

  • Selective Calendar Events Missing

After recent system update noticed that some of my calendar events are missing. Checked Google Calendar and all my expected events are still there. Tried ticking and unticking Google Calendar and refreshing the Z2 calendar but missing events are still not showing.

Do you have Google sync turned on?

    Ethan,
It is gone from the desktop version of Calendar. If you are an iCloud user, it can be found in the Calendar Web App>Preferences>Advanced.

  • 2014 calendar events missing

All 2014 calendar events are missing.  Same thing happened a year ago when all 2013 calendar events went missing.  Am unable to add any event for 2014.

    Thanks for your input.
I only house my calendar on the phone.
It just seems odd to me that in early 2014 all of 2013 calendar entries were gone.  And now, early 2015, all of 2014 are gone.
    Thanks again.

  • Some exchange calendar events missing with iOS 5

I'm having difficulties with calendar events that are showing up on Outlook not showing up on the iPhone with iOS 5.  These had previosuly synced fine and been on the iPhone calendar before the upgrade to iOS 5, and only some claendar events aren't syncing correctly.  It appears to be doing this for both one-time and recurring events.  Additionally, new events on Outlook are syncing with the iPhone and new events added on the iPhone are syncing with Outlook.

Try closing all apps completely and then do a reset and see if that helps. To close all apps : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Previous Calendar Events missing

Calendar events older than 2 months are no longer visible on my Droid2.  Calendar events are very important to me, including the previous events.  Is there a way to make sure all events remain on the calendar?

Nat1, I would like to assist with your calendar issue. I can relate to needing to keep calendar appointments, past and present, in your phone. Like Ann stated, it is important to see if these calendar appointments are saved as phone or Google appointments. I would recommend saving them as Google appointments. That way, they are saved to Google's server if something ever happened to the phone or if you upgrade later. Then you can login to your Gmail account and see if your contacts are saved there.

  • HT4859 Calendar events missing on iphone after icloud backup

Are you syncing your calendar with iCoud?  If so, when you check your calendar on icloud.com from your computer, do you see your calendar events there?

  • Old Calendar Events missing on iPhone & iPad?

I recently realised old events from iCloud calendar are not appearing on my iPhone and iPad but are showing on my MacBook Pro. I'm missing events from before December 2013 and beyond.
How can I recover them on my iPhone and iPad?

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set it to a longer time period.

  • Calendar Events Missing

Today I opened my iPad calendar, and all the events were missing. It was working fine before, including yesterday. I tried resetting the iPad twice, but this has not worked.

In the bottom middle of the calendar app, tap on calendars....do you have them all chosen to be visible?

  • Iphone calendar events missing

My iphone deleted certain events added in my calendar.  How do I retrieve them?  I have no idea how it happened.

If these are older events that are disappearing, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set this to a longer time period.

  • Calendar events missing--what happened?

I was checking my appointments and just noticed out of the blue all my calendar info is gone! What to do? Some notes and appointments are critical. Thanks. I don't use MobileMe or any other cloud service.

Basically yes. Using iCloud and MobileMe in the past tended create or delete unwanted events on my husband's phone and vice versa. I try to back up often. Recently we both list family birthdays and all repeating events. We gradually put them back in. Now on my phone all events were gone. Are you saying a "rogue app" did this? I generally don't allow any apps access to my info; do you think this is what happened? If do, what is a preventative? In the past, using Apple's synch apps, we lost data. Are they better now?

  • Calendar events missing after BlackBerry died

About two weeks ago my Tour died a horrible death. I woke up and the web page that I had tried to load the night before was still showing a little clock and the only way I could get out of the browser was to shut the phone off. When I powered it back up, it was gone. Completely.
I plugged it into my computer to charge it, and I got a message that there was no software on my device.
I reloaded everything and it's ok now, but my calendar did not re-load all of my appointments.
I am sync'd through Exchange. How do I get all of them back on the phone's calendar?
    Thanks!

While you didn't state clearly, it appears you are on BES. As such, go see your BES admins for assistance as they may have to do something on their end to re-sync your BB to BES.
    Good luck!

  • IPhone not syncing all exchange calendar events

I'm having some issues with an iPhone running iOS 5.0.1 sycing with an SBS 2008 / Exchange 2007 server.
Email and contacts sync fine without any issues. Calendar seems to be syncing fine but is missing out some events. I have tried to look at what events are not syncing to see if there is a pattern, but it is very random and nothing that links the events in any way.
I have tried deleting the exchange account from the phone and re-adding it and have also tried adding the account on a completley different phone and it still only syncs the same calendar events, missing out a few events.
I have looked in outlook on the users computer and the events show fine. Also logged in to outlook web access and it shows the events in there without a problem.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

We've found, too, that the type of calendar item can make a difference..as an example, a changed instance of a recurring appointment can be a problem..it has to do with the way Exchange handles them...their suggestion is if you have an appointment that is say, every Monday all year, at 900am, but sometimes it changes to 930, and sometimes say, to 830, you need to make 52 individual appointments rather that 1 52 instance recurring appointment...not a very attractive option.  The other thing that can make a difference if is an appointment has any attachments..first, the attachment can change frequently, leading to possible consistency issues that way, and second, the size of the attachment can make the Exchange client on the iOS device "choke"...also, users need to accept every invitation they see..if they delete 1 invitation, or if a delegate deletes one invitation the item will drop off of the calendar.....also, you want to minimize the number of delegates..thexe things are summarized in a couple of best practices documents Microsoft has published...

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899704/
Also, I let users know that they want to minimize the number of instances of mail clients running against exchange Server...the more clients, particularly mobile devices, the more they are looking for trouble.
