I'm having troubles printing my contacts on lables or at all that I have created as a group for my wedding. When I choose file>print nothing happens. Help! It says something about creating an On My Mac Group, I don't understand what that is. Can someone explain that to me in detail please?

Are you trying to print from your MacBook Pro? The contacts should be in you Contacts application if you have Contacts setup to be synced thru iCloud. How are you going about trying to print the labels and from what appliclaltion?

I've managed to solve this for the moment but it's a long-winded way of doing it. I used Entourage to import contact details from Address Book and then exported the data as a CSV file. I was then able to import this into a Filemaker Pro database which allows a bit more flexibility for creating labels with spouses and "& family" etc.
It's a shame Filemaker couldn't come up with a better Address Book application for Apple. I love the integration with Mail, .Mac and the synching capabilities but as an application, I find it pretty inflexible.

Open your Contacts. Select your card that contains your information. Then click on the Card menu at the top of your screen and select Make This My Card.

I use Plaxo for my contacts, and I want it to synch my Outlook contacts with my PC. I got a new HP PC with the (awful) Windows 8.0 operating system, and, to say the least, I miss the good old days. Plaxo customer support tells me that I can't use my iCloud contact synch because they clash.
My question: How do I disable my iCloud contact synch feature while still allowing the rest of iCloud (music, photos) to operate as usual.
What mysterious steps must I take in order to do this and not cause a complete meltdown in the process? The meltdown that I fear most is the one that happens between my ears.

Music is nothing to do with iCloud but Photostream is, so turn off Mail, Contacts and Calendars (in the iCloud Control Panel) and leave everything else on.
You will lose iCloud Calendars and Mail as well as Contacts, but you can manually re-enable mail (if you use iCloud email)

Copy that address
Paste 30 times (or however many labels you have per page)
Select those 30 duplicate entries, and go to print

What application are you trying to print from? Address Book has the ability to print using various label templates. I think you can do the same from Pages or Word.

I have set up iCloud Contacts on my PC running Windpws 7, with MS Office 2010. Whenever I add a name in an email, it goes and looks for that name in my old contacts foler, not the new iCloud folder that was created when I added iCloud. How do I get Outlook to default to the new iCloud contacts?

Outlook will not use a subscribed folder (unless it is from MS Exchange) as the default folder, instead you should change the Outlook search parameters to look in the iCloud folders.
