Events are organised strictly on date and time, as read by iPhoto from the Exif data in the Photo. You cannot manually sort.
Create Albums. You can do much more organising with Albums, use Photos from different events, place them as you will. Best of all, Albums use no disk space at all. They simply reference the file on the Hard Disk. So a pic can be 1, 10 or 100 Albums with no wasted disk space whatever.

How do you keep a VI running while waiting for user input?
I have a VI that:
1. The user enters set points.
2. The user starts the VI and the VI sends the set points to an external process via a serial interface.
3. The VI stops running.
4 The user waits for the external process to complete.
5. Repeat sequence. Go to Step 1.
This works well except for one small problem. Starting the VI in step 2 causes an external micro controller to reset. During the reset it will ignore set point commands. To get around this problem a delay has been added between when the VI opens the serial port and when the VI sends the set points to the external process Is it possible to keep a VI running continuously in this type of application, thereby eliminating the start up and shut down of the serial interface?
If yes, how do you keep a VI running while waiting for user input?
HowardThe ones for the event structure specifically. I'm posting from my phone. Look at the basic ones for user input. even a simple while loop with a boolean and a case statement would work.

How do i keep itunes from creating a folder for each movie that I add to my library?
When I add a movie to my library, iTunes 10 creates a SubFolder to the iTunes Movies folder, for each movie I add. The older iTunes just added the Files to the Movies folder, whithout creating subfolders for each movie.
Is there a setting so that i can make version 10 do this?

ChuckNo, there is no custom setting for this. I wouldn't advise it, but if you really want you could downgrade to the older folder layout. However all your other folders will be arranged in the old layout too which may no be what you want.

Is there any way to make Object size permanent in Pages?
Hi. Does anyone know how to make the size of an object permanent? I use a lot of clip art and after resizing it, I would like it to stay that size but each time I select an object, the size selection box always appears. This is mainly a problem for Pages for the iPad.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you can connect the device with Bluetooth and make and receive calls but they dont hear you. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

If, by "shrink" ... you mean by using the AppSizer, the
answer is "not really". You can configure AppSizer to a defined
size, then with the mouse pointer double-arrowed on the "edge" of a
window, right-click and your window-size selections will appear in
the AppSizer "list" (that you set up) and can be selected there.
But there is no re-scaling of the window contents, if that is
what you mean, so the smaller window may now require scrolling.
But keep in mind that if you use the recording option for
"Software Simulation" > "Custom Size", you can then snap the

In contacts there is the possibility to add a new event, as the birthdays, but they do not appear in iCal. Is there any way to make that possible? It is normal to have a person with his birthday, anniversary and others key dates you want to link to such person, but the only one shows up is the birthday. Dates to iCal 2 is a replacement for Apple's birthday calendar for iCal. It has a range of features to allow the user to choose what, and what not, to sync to iCal from Address Book.
As well as automatically syncing birthday dates from Address Book, Dates to iCal 2 can sync anniversary and custom dates. It can set up to five alarms for each date in iCal and can also set different alarms for birthdays and anniversaries. It allows the option of only syncing from one Address Book group. This application also allows for the titles of the events sent to iCal to be modified to the user's preference.

The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. The latter does nothing allowing you to make your various selections for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
If you don't have a backup for the iPhone with iTunes on your computer and don't have an iCloud backup that hasn't been updated since choosing to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to the iPhone, the data that was on the iPhone is gone. -
How do you keep the colors of an image true when you set it as a background?
I have an image with lines in it and a black blackground. When I set it as a background :

the black is a couple shades lighter so when I place a <div> with an <img>that is also mainly black on top of it, the top image is much darker than the background. I have no other css tags on the div other than a margin. The only difference in the images is I saved the background from photoshop and the image in the div from illustrator but I dont think that should have effected anything. Does anybody know anything about this because I am seriously stumped.

Firstly, Adobe' Photoshop has the ability to save a color profile with an image. That color profile will be consistent across all versions of Adobe software. Problem is, Adobe does not make web browsers (and that is probably a good thing).
When you save images for websites, you need to go through the proper Photoshop or Illustrator dialog. You want to Save for Web & Other Devices. Why? because the applications will take the image out of CMYK color space (if it is in that color space) and make it RGB. They will also try to translate the colors in a sensible way. When you use this dialog, you will see various options for JPG, including ICC Profile. Turning this on or off will change how the colors get mapped, and some experimentation to get best results is a good idea.
I have it turned off, presently.
The image will be set up for 72 dots per inch automatically, and you can, then, resize the image to optimize it for the website you are working on. If you are trying to fill a hole for an image that is 350 pixels wide by 250 tall, don't save the image as 1125 wide by 1024 high. That will take a long time to download from your server to whatever device is displaying it. Your original image will not be changed and you can navigate your path to your defined website's images folder.
This should help you immeasurably. I should mention that If I am trying to match a background exactly, I will tend to knock out that color from the image, save the image as a .PNG file with transparency (where that particular color is) and place the image on the background in question with the background color I am trying to match on the website.

I am not able to keep the changes made in light room when I transfer to photo shopSomething you need to understand. Unless you are using the latest version of Photoshop Elements, it's possible that some of the adjustments that you make in Lightroom won't transfer to Elements if you choose the option to open anyway. If you choose the option to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments then Lightroom will create a TIF or PSD file (depending on your preferences), and that file will include all of the adjustments that you have made using Lightroom. Then you can finish your work in Photoshop Elements.
The process of transferring an image from Lightroom to Photoshop or Photoshop Elements involves the Camera Raw plug-in. It has to be used to interpret the Lightroom adjustments and apply those adjustments to the image after it has been converted. Files open in Elements or Photoshop or no longer raw images because those programs are incapable of editing raw image data. I don't know if this will help you in this situation. What do mean by reloading? Once you sync the photos to the iPad they should not sync again. Is that what you are seeing? The progress bar is showing that the photos are being transferred all over again?

I had a similar problem: I wanted to synch my playlist to my iphone. I like to have my playlist sorted by genre. But under each genre, albums are not sorted by the track numbers. This is a problem, especially when I am listening to club mixes when the DJ smoothly transitions from 1 track sequentially to the next one. Under the properties of each audio file, the Track Numbers and Disc Numbers are already there.
My perfect solution was to turn On Sorting - Sort Album under View>Show View Options. Then, select all the songs in that album (Shift click, Cmd click, etc) , and Edit multiple item information (Cmd I). You will see Info-Video-Sorting-Options buttons. Click on Sorting. Then, under Sort Album, Enter the name of the album. Then OK.
You should now have the playlist sorted by Genre, then each album individually sorted by track numbers. On your playlist you should see, if you scroll right, the column added called "Sort Album".
