How do you adjust how long the iphone rings for before going to voicemail? Mine diverts after only a couple of rings.

I believe you do that through your phone service provider. I wonder if you have unheard messages in your voice mailbox. I think some carriers use that mechanism - diversion to voicemail faster if the recipient has unheard messages.
I do not believe you can change this directly on your iPhone.

How do I customize my personal email settings?
If you would like to change account name, how long email is kept on the handset, account passwords, or server/port/security settings, follow steps below:
Open Applications tray
Tap Accounts
Tap the email account your wish to edit
Select General settings to change account name, reply name or email address
Select Incoming / Outgoing server to adjust Server name, port #, username & password, and security settings
Select Other Settings to modify how long handset will keep messages.
If you need to adjust email frequency, notification ringtones, text size:
The settings you adjust in this application will affect ALL the accounts you have set-up in the Email application . This includes Corporate Sync accounts but excludes your Gmail application accounts.
Open Applications tray
Tap on Email application
Your Default email account will be displayed. (this is adjustable in email settings menu)
Press Menu hard key

There is no gui, but to play movie files you open up a terminal and type the command mplayer /path/to/file. I would like mplayer to play a movie file automatically when I double click on the file, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I tried setting it in the file info dialogue, but when I go to the path of the binary I want, it is not selected. How can I set a console app as my default application for my file type?

there is a GUI mplayer for OS X. why don't you use it instead of the command line one?
if you insist on using the command line mplayer then the only way to do this is to put a GUI wrapper on it. this can be done with automator or apple script for example. but really, why don't you just use the GUI mplayer?

I just purchased a new HP Laserjet Pro 400 model 401DN printer. I have registered the printer with the HP ePrint Center and I have created a ePrint email address. The printer is connected with an Ethernet cable to a hardwired network in my house.
My first question - Can I use the HP ePrint iPhone app to print items to the 401DN printer? I think I can.
I have installed the HP ePrint app on my iPhone 5. The app instructions say that I can print the body of an email from the iPhone. To do this, I think I need to go into the app settings - Email Accounts - Other. I tried using IMAP. In the Email address field which email address am suppose to use? My main email address that I use to send and receive all my mail? I am suppose to enter the incoming or outgoing server information? I have not been able to find any documentation on how to setup the email portion of the ePrint iPhone app.
I tried setting up the email using my gmail account and it worked and verified properly. I can't figure out how to set the email using my primary email account.
I have tried to enter the information I think the app is looking for and verification fails.

How Do You Uninstall "Installer" From The iPhone?

I am selling my iPhone and did a restore from the phone.
It erased everything but Installer.
How do I go about getting it off the iPhone?

How do you export photos from the iPhone to a PC running WIndows XP?

I have followed many threads in the discussion forum on this, and have tried all suggestions from getting a Picasa account, to diabling auto synching, to trying other USB ports. The bottom line is that nothing other than iTunes recognizes my iPhone when it is plugged in. I am running iTunes 8.0.11 and Picasa 3.0, and Windows XP Release 3.
There must be a way to get the photos I have taken with my iPhone on to my computer so I can work with them.
I would greatly appreciate any information on this.

Even if iTunes wasn't installed the iPhone shows up as two devices in the device manager. The one that shows up under digital imaging uses the standard Windows XP camera driver and it you should be able to read images in a standard way using Start > All Programs > Accessories > Scanner and Camera Wizard.
However if the phone is not showing up properly in device manager I'd try some basic troubleshooting reset the phone and such. If it doesn't work on a different computer you may need to restore the iPhone.

I subscribed to a podcast on the iPhone, (from the iPhone itself) but now can't seem to remove it. Any ideas? There doesn't seem to be a way
to unsubscribe from the podcasts on the iPhone or from iTunes.

Thanks - but there are no episodes of the podcast itself. It is the tile from the store that is clogging up space. The podcasts themselves can be deleted - that's easy - but the subscription tile cannot - even though I am not subscribed anymore.
The podcasts are not on my syncing computer's iTunes either, so can't be removed that way either.
