HT4515 how to assign ringtone to blocked callers

Does anyone know how to assign a ringtone to "blocked callers"?  I have songs/tones assigned to various contacts, but would like to assign to blocked callers (i.e. my work)

It can not be done. The reason Caller ID displays "Blocked" is because the caller has explicitly decided to block their number from being transmitted over the caller ID system. Without a number, it is not possible for the phone to match the string received with a phone number in a contact.
Only your carrier can block these calls. Contact them and see if they offer this service.

  • Assign Ringtone to "Unknown Callers"

    One of the features I miss from my Treo was the ability to have a specific ringtone for callers who were not in my contacts. Anyone know if / how to do this on iPhone. They appear to have it backwards in that I can assign a ringtone to callers in my contacts, but not a default ringtone for unknown callers.

    I think you know the working solution at this point. Assign a ringtone to EVERY entry in your Contacts, but keep one ringtone reserved and unassociated with any Contact. Make that ringtone your overall default.
    And of course, assign ringtones to every new contact as you add them. Yep, icky - but it would work.
    Better yet - use the feedback link above and ask for a 'ringtone for numbers not in Contacts' category to be added to the Phone Settings area.

  • How to assign course program block elements to Course Block

    Hi !
    I have created a Course Program and added course program blocks but i am not able to add Course Block elements to it.
    Please guide me how to do this. Is it related to EHP level ? We are at EHP3 level.
    Anand

    Hi Priya,
    Thanks for the reply,
    Added the elements as suggested. Thanks once again
    Now on the portal i am able to search the Course Program but not able to see any detils. Hence not able to subscribe also.
    Can you throw some light on this issue please?
    Why am i interested in "Course Program" is becuase our Training institutes has requirement of assigning five (5) Web-based trainings to a group of Management Trainees.
    Out of these 5 WBT, one is mandatory for group & out of remaining four they have to complete any two.
    I have tried to work-out this through Curriculum but it is not working the way we want. So interested in "Course Program" & its usability.
    Thanks & Regrads

  • Assigning ringtones text and notifications

    I'm new to the Droid X and I was wondering how to assign ringtones that I've already downloaded from other apps as the ringtones for my text messages. Every time I try to put one of the songs that I've downloaded already as the ringtone for my text messaging, the only ones that show up are the default alerts that came with the phone. Can anyone help me with this problem?

    Ahh, that's right. Maybe my issue is an X thing. Since I had the 32gig card, I just uploaded wav files to the phone. Perhaps the X converted them...
    You know, I have a data line on my account that I hardly use since I got the X, I'm considering getting an Incredible just to play with and hopefully talk my girlfriend into using. She thinks she's too behind-the-times to use a smartphone, all the while playing with my phone constantly. I had been lusting after the Dinc until they became hard to get in June. Then the X came out and I thought "there will be plenty of them, so I'll look into it, too." Boy, that panned out well, eh?...
    I should take the time to explore the audio files on the phone to see what happened to them, just a matter of making the time. I'm used to using Audacity to make ringtones, but Ringdroid definitely makes the job easier, especially if you buy music OTA.
    Ahh, well, I'll figure out something this week. No shows this weekend, so there's hope...
    Thanx, Great ,

  • HT201272 I purchased a ringtone from itunes store on my I phone 5 but cannot find how to assign it to my ringtone

    I purchased a ringtone from itunes store on my iphone5 but cannot find how to assign it as my ringtone. Can anyone offer suggestions please

    Help again! lol
    tonight I tried to download a ringtone to my iPhone 5.  Picked out the one I wanted, clicked on "buy" and was asked for my p/w & if I wanted to assign it to a contact.  Yes, entered correct p/w & yes.  NO DOWNLOAD - it doesn't show up in my Ringtones under "Sounds" or "Text Tones" and a search of my phone doesn't show it.  So, even though my balance was subtracted the cost, I tried again....still doesn't show up on the phone OR in iTunes on my iMac or iPad - and I was charged for it again!!   ETA: It doesn't even show up in recent purchases.?!?
    iMatch is turned on in all devices and I noticed that in iTunes on my iMac, there is NO tab for "Ringtones" or "Tones" in the top menu across my iTunes screen....however, in my library on the Mac there IS a line item for ringtones, but it's empty when I click on it.  This is the 2nd ringtone I've purchased that doesn't show up; thrtefore I cannot use either one but have been charged for both...GRRR
    I also noticed tonight that a lot of my options in my Library on the Mac are "grayed out" so I can't even get into them. Yes, I'm signed in & all devices are
    authorized.  Can't even sync my iPhone & yes I checked that it's marked on both devices.  *sigh*
    What do I need to do?  The closest Apple store is over an hour away from me.  Should I reset iTunes or the iPhone (or both)?  Not really what I want to do on my long weekend now that I'm finally down to 2 jobs 6 days a week!
    TIA for any help anyone can give me!
    (BTW, it turned out the other ringtone I'd purchased on 12/1/11 was no longer available (3rd ringtone - actually 1st so the ones in this question are #'s 2 & 3), and Apple was kind enough to give me some free songs.)

    I Found the number of an 'unknown' voicemail caller
    tthrough the message envelope function and googled it to find it was a spam call about debts - j often get calls about this which ring - so  I then blocked this number but now it goes straight to voicemail everytime and i get notified that I have a voicemail - I still have to listen as it could be a real voicemail and so still have to listen to the call ! How can I prevent a blocked number from leaving voicemail?

    Have you connected your iPhone to iTunes on your computer as provided?

    How do I block callers on my iPhone?

    You don't. Call blocking, for any cell phone, can only be done by your carrier. Some carriers offer call blocking, some don't. If yours doesn't:
    Create an entry in your Contacts list called "Spam". Put this number in that entry, then assign a silent ringtone to the contact entry. While the call will still come through, your phone won't ring. Here's a silent ringtone already made for you:

  • How can assign the value returned from javascript to Hidden item

    Hi All,
    I have created a report with button in one column adding following code to SQL select statement like
    SELECT USER_RQST_ID, USER_RQST_DESC, RQST_DATE, STATUS, USER_ID, CNTRY_ID, KPI_LIST, YEAR_LIST, QTR_LIST, MONTH_LIST,
    PROD_LIST, FULL_PERIOD_FLG, GEN_DATE, '<input type=button value="view_list" onclick="javascript:doSubmit('||USER_RQST_ID||');">' button FROM KPI_USER_RQST;
    Then i have implemet doSubmit() function in Javascript like
    function doSubmit(req_id)
    html_GetElement('HIDDEN_ITEM')= req_id.value;
    Here HIDDEN_ITEM is the name of the item, I want to use that HIDDEN_ITEM value in PL/SQL block like...
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO SAMPLE(KEY) VALUES(:HIDDEN_ITEM);
    END;
    But it is not working, Please help me anybody know the solution How to assign an item in javascript block function.
    Thanks,
    Neel

    Hello,
    doSubmit() is one of the built in javascript functions in apex and it's a bad idea to override it unless you know exactly what you are doing, and even then is a generally bad idea.
    change your function to this
    function mySubmit(pValue){
    $x('HIDDEN_ITEM').value = pValue;
    doSubmit();
    then your onclick will look like this notice the lack of the javascript: and the three ''' quotes to get the proper quotations for your value.
    onclick="mySubmit('''||USER_RQST_ID||''')"
    And there you go

  • Block callers

    How to block callers on my iphone

    This problem is easy to resolv, and lots of apps can do call blocking, but Apple for some reason dont allow Them In AppStore. Apple defenately know this, and should free the apps In AppStore that can help their customers. They dont have to create an app, just realease the apps that have existed for years and are working perfectly.

    How to assign Values to nested table and pass as parameter to procedure?

    here is the table made of object type:

    main_val2 test_type2

    NESTED TABLE main_val2 STORE AS tot2;
    here is the procedure which inserts values into nested table:
    PROCEDURE INSERT_TEST_DATA(sl_num IN NUMBER,

    Thanks for posting the DDL and sample code but whenever you post provide your 4 digit Oracle version (result of SELECT * FROM V$VERSION).

    >
    Well you are doing almost everything wrong that could be done wrong.
    Here is code that works to insert data into your table (the procedure isn't even needed).
    declare
    p_sl_num NUMBER := 1001;
    p_description VARCHAR2(50) := 'Testing Val1';
    inval1 test_type1 := test_type1();
    inval2 test_type2 := test_type2();
    begin
    inval1.extend();
    inval1(1) := test_object1('testx1', 'testx2', 'testx3');
    inval2.extend();
    inval2(1) := test_object2('testy1', 'testy2', 'testy3');
    INSERT INTO test_object_tpe
    sl_num,
    description,
    main_val1,
    main_val2
    VALUES
    (p_sl_num, p_description, inval1, inval2);
    commit;
    end;
    /See Example 5-15 Referencing a Nested Table Element in Chap 5 Using PL/SQL Collections and Records in the PL/SQL doc
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28370/collections.htm#CJABEBEA
    1. You don't even need the procedure since all it does is a simple INSERT into the table which you can do directly (see my code above)
    inval1(1).val1 := 'testx1';There is no element one (1) of 'inval1' since you haven't created any elements yet. You need to EXTEND the collection to add an element
    inval1.extend();And then there is an empty element but 'inval1' is a container for objects of type 'test_object1' not for scalars like 'val1', 'val2', and 'val3'.
    So you can't do
    inval1(1).val1 := 'testx1';You have to create an instance of 'test_object1'
    inval1(1) := test_object1('testx1', 'testx2', 'testx3');And so on for the other collection
    You don't need the procedure (as my sample code shows) but once you populate the variables properly it will work.

  • Pixi able to have diffrent ringtones for different callers??

    So after about 4 years I finally had to get rid of my trusty Treo 650.  I went with the Pixi and just got it a few hours ago.  So far I like the phone, but have not been able to figure out how to set up different ringtones for different callers.  I am on call with my work and having a distinct ringtone for when work calls me is super important (they showed up as NO CALLER ID on the 650 if that helps figure this out) .  Also it was nice having a few other distinct ringtones so I knew right away who was calling and made it easier to decide if I wanted to take the phone out of my pocket to talk to them.  So I guess long story short:
    1.  Does the Pixi support distinct ringtones for different callers?
    2.  If so where do I set that up?
    3.  If not does anyone have any idea if this will be something that can/will be addressed in an upcoming software update?

    So after playing with my phone some more I figured out how to give contacts distinct ringtones...but I still havne't figured out how to give "uknown callers" (at least thats what the Treo 650 called them) a distinct ringtone.  This ringtone is the most important one due to the fact that when work calls me they come up as "NO CALLER ID" (once again thats what the Treo 650 did, been lucky enough to have not been called out in the few hours since I bought the Pixi....yet).
    Anyone have any idea how to set up a distinct ringtone for "uknown callers" in the Pixi??
