Hi,
In Mail > Preferences > Accounts to can find out which STMP server you are using for outgoing items.
This can be one account.
I do this with a dial Up account I still have access to.
I can "fetch" mail over DSL and now Fibre.
However I have to be Logged in via Dial up to actually use their Servers to Send.
As a Consequence I "send" via one of the other Accounts STMP servers. (I tend to add a signature that reflects this account change)
The other thing that might explain what you are seeing is the Full Name Box.

Open the system menu via Alt+Space or click the Firefox icon on the title bar and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.

My mail will not send emails. I can recieve them but it will not send. What do I do?

POP or IMAP? Make certain that you have your outgoing server, whether POP or IMAP, set up correctly.

Well then maybe you could take a screenshot because the appearance of such a window is news to me.
Also post your OS X version and what model Mac you have. The more detail, the better. Thanks.
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse or trackpad. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

Updated my phone, now e-mail will not send because server does not allow relaying

Updated iphone 3GS to iOS 5, now my company e-mail will not send "because server does not allow relaying". I'm just an employee, not an IT type - have no idea what this means and I'm very frustrated. Also infuriated with Apple because THEIR update caused this to happen, yet I have to PAY for their support because I have an older iPhone. Someone please help.

razmee209, thanks for your reply. After signing up for the community, I saw that I wasn't the only one. However, I think I've solved it by looking over the comments in reply to others with this problem.
First, I think the iOS5 update may have made the phone default to IMAP setting. I noticed when I deleted my account and re-set it up that there is a large button at the top for either IMAP or POP. It is already defaulted to IMAP, but my account must be POP. So this is the first thing to check when you're setting up your account.
Second, I noted some other comments about needing to supply a username and password to the outgoing server even though it says optional. I included those, but got a message that it wasn't recognized (or something like that) and did I want to continue anyway. I told it to continue. After a few seconds, it verified my account, and now everything works.
Hope this helps others having this problem.

It seems your iPhone is slowing down and not responding frequently. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your backup, you would then want to consider restoring the device and setting it up as new. Below I have linked to article which offers guidance on both of these restore methods:

I am wonder why when i add a picture with words to my slideshow in final cut the res clarity seems to get blurry when the poem I am making is playing the picture seems to become blurry but when i stop it the res quality seems to get better

i add a picture from the web to the final cut project and as my poem is playing some pictures are getting blurry when it plays but when i pause it the picture seems to be more clear

Possibly it's just a matter of switching Quality to Better Quality in Viewer Display Options. Or rendering the clip.

Mail will not send via Dreamhost Email Server Thro...

Hi,
I have a Nokia E72 and I'm using the built in Messaging service (http://email.nokia.com) to retrieve email via IMAP from a Dreamhost-hosted email account. Receiving works perfectly, and I'm very happy with the service.
Whenever I try to send email, the mail is 'sent' on my phone, but I get a delivery status notification (failure) email.
It contains the following error:
500: Failure - sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Now, I know that Dreamhost has some funky SSL issues with their ingoing and outgoing mail servers. I'm not sure why incoming mail works fine, but outgoing is having these certificate issues.
When I go to my messaging settings (https://email.nokia.com/account/changeAdvancedIspSettingsUI.action), any changes I make to the outgoing settings result in an error message, and being unable to save the changes.
Can anyone help me out with either changing my settings, or getting Nokia Messaging working with Dreamhost?

Hmm, strange. Although I tried this before, the website now does accept my smtp:
server: mail.yourdomain.com
port: 25
NO SSL.
By using NO SSL and port 25, you bypass the invalid certificate I guess. Dreamhost has an certivicate in place identifying with *.mail.dreamhost.com. I asume this is causing some issues over at Nokia.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

Mail will not send out e-mails from my gmail smtp server

I am using Mail to send and receive e-mails. I have 3 different accounts that I use, of which two are GMail acounts. These two acounts receive e-mails as normal, but upon replying or otherwise sending out e-mail it refuses to send. It appears that the SMTP server is offline. I have re-entered my credentials etc, but this did not fix the problem. Can anyone help me to get over this annoying issue?

Mail will not send from designated email account

I have several emails set up in Mail. Everything has been working great until a couple days ago. I haven't changed anything, made any updates, or added any new accounts.
Let's call the two accounts A and B. My main account is A. When I am sending an email, A is my default. It is designated as such. When I send an email from account A, I double check in each email. It shows it is coming from that default account. However, my recipient is receiving the email from account B. I only know this because when they reply, their response shows up in account B's inbox. The weird thing? My sent email folder shows as being sent from the correct account-- account A.
I have re-installed the accounts, double-checked everything. The problem still exists.
This is the weirdest issue. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Probably because it is using the server of account B to send from. When it goes through B's server, the server changes the sent address to that of B's email address. Either you have the wrong outgoing server set up for account A or there is a problem with it and it's switching to account B's server.
Open account preferences and highlight account A. Look at the SMTP server list and see which it shows. Select the correct one and check the box to use only that server for that account. If it fails in the future, you will get an alert that it failed and the option to choose another outgoing server.
Make sure all information for that server is correct and that it has the correct user name and password. Once you get that working, do the same for account B and make sure it has the correct outgoing server and check the box for that one also.

Sometime it cannot send out email, the email will stuck at outbox. It only work after you restart the outlook and resend.

Can you please check onto the Exchange server, the Outbox folder size and Items in it. Use the below command to verify the Outbox folder.
Get-MailboxFolderStatistics -Identity <Alias> -FolderScope Outbox
Look out for ItemsInFolder and FolderSize. If it displays content in it, you would need to remove the emails from the Outbox Folder. The Outbox folder can be accessed from the OWA light version.

E-mails will not send. Error Message is "server does not support SSL messages." Is this a server or internet program problem?

The last 3 times - March 9 and 10 - I attempted to send an e-mail, the above quote was in the error message box as the reason the e-mails could not be sent.

try the 2.0.1 update, I just did and it seemed to help with that issue and a few others with email, wi-fi, and a few other areas have improved too...
