HT4527 how to transfer songs from iphone 4s to new computer

Basically all I want to do is transfer a couple of songs to my phone from my office computer. Now I downloaded itunes on the desktop. But I cannot sync the music because it will delete all my songs from the phone. So I thought of transferring all the songs first to the itunes on the desktop and then sync it with my phone along with the new songs. IS THAT POSSIBLE, PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance :-)

  • How to transfer songs from Ipod to a New Computer?

    Hey guys
How can I transfer Ipod music to a new computer? My old computer crashed, and My itunes folders are gone.

There is an ez way to do this without any programs at all. All you have to do is this: Plug in your iPod and double click my computer. Now click "tools>folder options." In the window that appears, click the "view" tab. Now there should be an option that says "show hidden files and folders." Select that option and click ok. Now open up ur ipod directory. There should be a semi-transparent folder along with the other folders in your ipod directory (Calendar, Contacts, Images, etc.) Open this folder and then open the "Music" folder. Displayed here are a number of folders called "F30" or 31, 32, 33 and so on. In these folders are all your song files on ur iPod. If you save these folders onto your computer you will be able to save them into your itunes library. If the music file names were changed, the information displayed in itunes should still be the same for all the songs and if you had album art it still should be there. After you save your music onto your computer, i suggest that you go back to the folder options and hide the hidden folders again, because some hidden files on the computer are necessary for the computer to run and may be accedentally deleted if still visible, causing the computer to not function correctly. And that is all there is to it. There is no programs needed for this simple process.

You should be able to copy iTunes purchases from the phone to your Mac's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. For music purchased from other sites and/or copied from other sites, then if you haven't got a copy of them on a backup then you will need to find a third-party program that can copy them off the phone.

Try taking a new picture with your iPhone then reconnect it to your computer.

  • Does anyone know how to transfer songs from my IPOD to my Computer?

As title, does anyone know if I can transfer all my songs from my Ipod, to my computer. Because the thing is I'm getting an iTouch but I don't have all my songs on my PC, it's all on my ipod.
So i want to move all my songs from my ipod to my PC, is it even possible?

There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content only from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

  • How to backup photo from iphone 4 to new computer..

    Hi there,
I had a macbook which is sync with my iphone 4..All my data is already sync to the iphone..
After that, i decided to sell my macbook and i purchased a new Computer..
And then i wanna backup all the photo from my Iphone to the new Computer..
    But the problem is ,
Is usually when we sync with the computer, All the data from New Computer will move to the Iphone , replace everything and all the photo from the Iphone will be gone??
    Or,
The photo from my iphone will transfer to that new computer ?
    Thx so much

I don't know about MacBook, but when I plug my iphone into my windows HP laptop a message pops up (part of AutoPlay).  It asks which action I would like to take.  I would open the folder (device) to view files.  Then you can locate any or all your photos from your device and manually import them to a file you create on your new computer.  In Itunes, do not select sync photos.  You are correct, this will import itunes photos back on your iphone.  If you do not get an autoplay message, you can locate your device by finding it through your drives (C is for your computer, F is for a DVD -- at least on mine).
    I hope this helps.

  • How to transfer songs from iPhone 4S to iPod Touch 4G

Hello users of iPhones and iPods etc all over the world...
My mum recently brought an iPod 4G and wants to transfer her songs from her iPhone 4S to this new iPod. I have spent all afternoon trying to work out how to via iTunes and Apple Support, however there is no use - I have tried backing the iPhone up to my laptop and booting it to the restored iPod Touch, however with 3 attempts all failed. Both devices have the latest iOS, so there is no issue there. One thing is that I'm using Windows 8 Asus X501A, however this should not make any difference from if it was a Windows 7 for that fact.
I'm usually quite fluent with my iDevices and technology, but have just gone clueless.
    Many thanks

  • How to transfer songs from iphone to windows pc without using itunes

Have a iphone i want to transfer song files from iphone to a windows pc at work that does not have itunes and I cannot download itunes to the computer because it is a work computer.

There are several programs available that run on a PC that can do this, but they would need to be installed also. If you can't install iTunes it is doubtful that you could install any of these 3rd party programs.

  • How to transfer stuff from Iphone 3gs to new laptop....

I had an old laptop with all the same info as on my Iphone 3gs. That laptop crashed so I got a new one. I wanT to transfer stuff from my Iphone to the laptop itself. Only I don't know how to do that. It's a windows 7 laptop.  Thanks to all. Cheerio!

The music and picture sync is one way - computer to iphone.  the only exception is itunes purchases.  the iphone is not a backup/storage device.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your old computer to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
Your synced pics will be deleted.  They are reduced in resolution when synced to iphone.  you can e-mail them to yourself, but they will never be of the original resolution again.
Also, if you sync contacts and calendars to a blank computer, then  they will be erased as well.  Another reason that backups are critical.
You can enter one uniques contact and calendar entry in the new computer.  When you first sync you should get the option to merge the data.
After all of this make a backup and maintain it always.
If you do as Eric suggests you may lose everything.  So be careful.  If you just sync to the new computer, everything will be erased and replaced with content from the new computer.

  • How to transfer music from iphone/ipad to new laptop?

The laptop that I originally used to register and sync my iphone and ipad is gone.  How do I transfer my music into iTunes on the new computer and using the new one to sync?

"The problem is that there is no old computer-it has crashed and cannot be turned on to access anything. "
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very reason. Have you failed to do this?
" I don't know how to get all of my music that is on my ipad and iphone, into iTunes on the new computer..."
You can only get itunes purchases as I told you in the first post.
You may be able to buy a third party program ( not supported by Apple) to get the other music.

  • How to transfer songs from old ipod to new ipod

i just recently purchased a new ipod touch i use to have and old ipod with a click wheel dinosaur anyway i want to know if anyone can help me transfer all my old songs? i have like over 1,000 and i don't have any of those songs anymore on my new computer is there a way to transfer them to my new ipod or am i screwed???? HELP!
    THANKS
    kat

I don't have a Touch or anything, but I'd imagine that you'd first need to connect your old ipod to your computer and get all your songs into your itunes from there. unless they're all already on your itunes. then just connect the iTouch and reload it.
of course...I don't know if it's possible to import all your songs from iPod to computer, I've never had to do that.

  • Computer broken, how to transfer music from ipod to the new computer?

    Hi,
so the problem is that my computer got broken and all my music went down with that also. Now i want to put the music on my ipod to my new computer so how do I do it? Or can I even do it? I hope so.
    So, please tell me!
    Thanks

Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • MacBook dead - How to recover photos from iPhone to my new computer?

My MacBook Air died (and took all my old photos and music with it).  I just got the new MacBook.
My iPhone (from old sync's) has photos/albums and music from the old computer, but only some of the photos sync to the new iTunes library on the new computer.
How do I recover the remaining photos (especially albums) to my new computer from my iPhone?

All right! Do you know there is someone that has accidentally deleted your photos?
If not, you phone may get some problems, specially the inner memory card.
So, in order to get back all these lost photos, you'd better pick the inner memory card out immediately in case anything else on it may erase your needed photos.
And then connect this card t your computer and download a data recovery application for restoring all your photos back.
Here is a iphone data recovery software for you: http://software.bigbigsoft.com/iphone-recovery-mac
After this incident, I hope you would learn a lesson to make everything important backed up in the future.
