HT4528 Buttons / Apps not working.. can't turn off

I have iphone 4. My soft button stopped working about a week ago.. so i enabled the icon that allows you to use the home button from the screen. Now my top hard button wont work. My phone will not turn off.. either buttons work and my apps wont open.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I used assistive touch to turn off my iphone, because my lock screen button is not working, so now i cant turn it back on! What i did was, i went to assistive touch, then i held down the lock screen button to turn it off. Now i can't turn it back on.

To turn it back on when you use assistive touch, all you have to do is plug your iphone into a charger and it will power back on

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

My sons ipod touch stopped working no internet, apps not responding,won't turn off

His ipod stopped working properly last night. Not jailbroken, not dropped etc. I tried restoring it and it still is really slow it is connected to our wifi but wont open the internet. I cant get his apple Id to verify or icloud email account set up. Also when I go to restart the ipod the slide bar to turn off never pops up it just turns black and the apple logo appears ( the ipod wont power off now)
Any help would be appreciated.

Iphone 4s is not working well after turning off for a night

I turn off my Iphone 4s off last night, and this morning when I turn it back on, it sent me a warrning and said something web manage is changing, do I want to change the cell phone service, something like that. I press no, then my Iphone started acting weired. I have 3G and WIFI now, but I am not able to use internet, cannot log into Icloud, when I type in my password on Find My Friends app, it said that the password is not correct, but I used the password to log into the Apple page, and it works. I turn it off and on, sometimes I saw 310-410 instead of AT&T on my left top screen. What happened and what should I do to fix it?

Try resetting it:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

My new ipod nano does not work when you turn off the computer

I bought a new iPod but I have a problem when you turn off the computer does not work. Shows that the battery is full and it was lightning. Ipod only works while connected to your computer. What should I do

If you just bought the nano, why not bring it back for a replacement or your money back? It's definitely a defective iPod. Not much else for options here. Sorry.

Internet sharing - stopped working, can't turn off

I am confused - I have set up Internet Sharing from my iMac. It has worked without a problem, having my iBook sharing the iMac's Internet connection through a SpeedTouch USB modem via Airport, but the other day it wouldn't work any more; using the diagnostics on the iBook shows all green, but no pages will open in neither Safari nor Firefox.
The connection works fine on the iMac, though.
But then I thought I'd better turn off the sharing since it doesn't work, but opening the Sharing panel in Sys Prefs shows me that everything is dimmed; the modem in the drop down list, as well as Airport Options. I have to stop sharing to make changes, but when I click the Stop-button, nothing happens! I have stopped Web Sharing, but no go.
In short; I am stuck. Anyone got a solution? At least as to how to turn it off?

No, and as far as I have understood, repairing permissions doesn't solve as much as we hoped for once:)
But again, as it often is with my mysterious problems, it has been solved. Probably just because I disconnected the USB-modem (a kind of modem I find strange and I think I prefer modems with an Ethernet interface, but that is what my ISP gave me...) and then I was able to stop the sharing.
I also had to restart the computer after an installation and that might have fixed whatever it was, because when I started the sharing again, it worked on the iBook...
But if you asked me what happened, I cannot tell you. The only thing I know, is that when you have an ADSL (DSL)-connection through a USB-modem, one needs to disconnect to do certain things...
Oh well. As long as it works...

My EE app not working & can't log in to account

Dear David M, would it be possible to re-set my account as well. I ported my number over from Giffgaff yesterday and can't use my online account or phone app. Same problem as above. Thank you, Markus

If you have setup a My EE account and were using prior to changing your number, the online service does not update this number for you and it will not provide you access.
Please send us your new number in a private message along with your full name, the email address you registered your account with, we can then ask a few additional security questions in order to check this out further for you.

HT4528 camera app not working

My iphone cammera app is not opening

Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Is there a way to go back to previous version of software as I don't like vers 1.1. Restoring it does not work and it turns off all the time after around 10 secs

Is there any way to go back to prvious version of software befoe 1.1 on ipod nano 6th generation. After update it switches off all the time after about 10 secs and I preferred it when I could listen to songs when in sleep mode without using too much battery power

That was the problem. They were there, just not properly linked. I used the one I completed in CS6 trial version (after preflight). When I exported that one and opened it in CS5 all was good. I think I will make the upgrade as soon as I can afford it, but at least now I can make the system work for my needs. Thank you for your help!

Firefox crashes, have uploaded new version (8) and will not work unless I turn off my firewall, when I turn it back on again it crashes?

Everything was ok until early last week when Firefox kept on and on crashing. I downloaded the new version on Saturday and all was fine until I switched on on Sunday and nothing, zilch. Opened in internet explorer and all was OK so knew it had to be Firefox. I disabled my Firewall and all came on perfectly, as soon as firewall goes on again Firefox goes off. I have now done a system restore back thingy (I'm sure you know what I mean!!) to before the download and am now having to put up with it crashing when it feels like it. Also very slow and sticky. I am working on Windows 7 if this helps.
If this cannot be resolved satisfactorily I will change to Safari or Internet Explorer as this is not the first problems I have had with Firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

My internet is not working, it's turning off and on! Mavericks 10.9.3

I've been having problems in the last couple of days, I tried resetting everything in my house including my router and modem and still doesn't work. I tried resetting SMC (command + option +p+r) but that didn't work at all. I've been finding ways to fix this problem looking at different ways to overcome this. I have 10.9.2 and it works perfectly. I'm really fustrated with this computer and I believe it could be software issue or maybe hardware. ps. apple has replaced my motherboard since it had damage to it last 2 months ago. Please let me know how to fix this thanks.

Do you have any antivirus software installed? if yes, uninstall it.
