  • How can I use iTunes purchased music on non PC devices?

I have an audio component that is a music server that is connected to my home audio system. The hard drive based music server has a front disc tray that you can use to rip CDs to its hard drive, but you can also copy music to it from a PC, as the server is connected to my home network.
How can I get music that I purchase in iTunes onto this server? The server only accepts MP3s, and is not compatable with ACC. And its a music server, not a true PC, so dont see anyway how I could "authorize" it.
Is there any way to get the ACC into MP3 format? Or if I burn the purchased music to CD, and then rip the CD back to a PC or the server itself, does it come back out as ACC again or MP3?
If anybody can be of any help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Burn the tracks out to an audio CD (make sure it's set to burn an audio CD, not a data CD, in the iTunes preferences). That CD can then be reimported as MP3.

  • Can i use my downloaded music as a ringtone?

i am trying to use music from my ipod folder as ringtones. is this possible?

    Yes.
There are a number of 3rd party utilities that provide for this, or you can manually create a ringtone from a chosen segment of a song as long as the song was not purchased from the iTunes store with DRM protection. I believe all music purchased from the iTunes store now no longer includes DRM protection.

  • How can I put previously purchased music and videos on my new iPhone 4s?

I purchased the music back when I have a 4th generation ipod nano. I was able to retrieve it from the iTunes library, but cannot seem to copy and paste it to my iPhone. I even tried file > transfer purchases from iPhone (as I read it should ask if I want to put the songs that are on iTunes on the phone) and that didnt work! PLEASE HELP!

Huh?  File has nothing to do with it.  Do not click File.  Forget File. It transfers FROM iphone TO itunes.  This is NOT what you are trying to do.
You need to sycn your iphone.  This is very basic and is certainly covered in the manual.
    Open itunes.
    Connect iphone.
Select what you want to sync.
    Sync.

  • How can I ensure itunes purchases (music, apps) are paid using credits which show on the account instead of billed to my credit card?  Info indicates credit is used first but I just bought a song and it did not seem to be deducted from my credits.

    Hello how to use this,
The article linked below details how to go about viewing your purchase history in the iTunes Store.

  • HT201269 Hi. I have shared an Apple ID with my children for some time.  As they are getting older they do not wnat me seeing all their messages, photos etc so want their own accounts.  How can they access their purchased music and apps on the new account

Hi. I have shared an Apple ID with my children for some time.  As they are getting older they do not wnat me seeing all their messages, photos etc so want their own accounts.  How can they access their purchased music and apps on the new account please?

    Yes.
On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs.

  • Why can't I sync my music without erasing my entire current iphone library???? Newly purchased MP3s don't transfer from my (authorized) laptop itunes.

My desktop no longer works where previous MP3s and CDs were downloaded. I currently use my laptop now and cannot get recently purchased MP3s to sync on my iphone 4 without erasing my current iphone library and replacing it with what is on my laptop. I've searched and experimented with every possibility (it seems) without taking the "big step" of syncing my entire library. My current iphone library has 990+ songs and my laptop itunes library only has 381. I don't want to lose what I've got already. Anybody????

There are third-party programs like those discussed here that can transfer non-iTunes purchased music to a computer.

  • Can we share non-purchased music?

I have painstakingly downloaded and categorized hundreds of our CD's in iTunes.  I have always used an iPod, iPhone, Mac, iPad, etc.  Now my husband has a brand new iPhone and he, too, would like to listen to our music.  However everything I see about "Family Sharing" is about sharing purchased music.  Can we share non-purchased music?

    Two Hound Train,
There are 5 ways to share music in a household.
    Regular iTunes Sharing
    Home Sharing
    Family Sharing
Give the person copies of the song files to add to their library
Put all song files on a shared server (NAS)
For non-purchased music, any of these will work except Family Sharing.

  • My IPOD is already synced to iTunes.  My friend just acquired an iPhone and he wants to purchase an app through my iTunes.  Can he use my iTunes to install the app to his iPhone without screwing up my IPOD information already on my iTunes?

My IPOD is already synced to iTunes.  My friend just acquired an iPhone and he wants to purchase an app through my iTunes.  Can he use my iTunes to install the app to his iPhone without screwing up my IPOD information already on my iTunes?  Also, how does he install ONLY that app on his iPhone without syncing my music also?  I haven't done this before with just an app.  Thanks.

Since you and your friend aren't married or in the same household (I assume you wouldn't have referred to this person as "my friend" otherwise), what you want to do is not permitted by the terms of use of the iTunes Store.
Your friend should create his own Apple ID. He can use your computer; just have him log into your computer with a user account you create just for him, not your own user account. Doing it that way is almost like having your friend use a different computer, since both Mac OS X and recent versions of Windows do a pretty good job of segregating the data of multiple user accounts.
He can then purchase the app using iTunes and sync it to his iPhone. When he's done, he should log out of your computer.
However, be aware that there is no reason to purchase an app using iTunes on a computer and to then sync it to the iPhone. Your friend can use the App Store app that's installed on the iPhone by default in order to download and install any app he likes from the iTunes App Store.

  • HT1449 I can't move recently purchased music on iTunes into external hard drive

I can't move recently purchased music on iTunes into external hard drive

Intel Macs use a different partition table format (GUID) for booting. Otherwise, the PPC/APL tables should still let it mount etc unless there is a problem with LaCie or the FireWire ports.
Does it have FW800/400 and USB2?
Seems like LaCie isn't using the best cases or firmware or bridge.
This is a D2 model? two drives bridged to appear as one volume?

  • I just purchased an iMac.  How can I use apps purchased on my iPhone and iPad on my new laptop?

I just purchased an iMac.  How can I use apps purchased on my iPhone and iPad on my new laptop?

    1) Congratulations on purchaing an iMac. But an iMac is not considered a laptop.
    2) Apps you bought for you iPhone and iPad can interchange with each other, but can NOT run on an Imac or a MacBook.
You will have to buy the same title again from the Mac App Store. When you do, you can run them on your iMac and your MacBook.

If possible you need to upgrade OS X. However, what you can upgrade to is dependent on what your Mac hardware and configuration is which you have not provided in your profile.
