HT4528 fully charged iphone 4 will not start

iPhone 4 working, fully charged, screen times out and now NOTHING.  Hooked back up to charger.  NOTHING

Hold down the Power Button and the Home Button at the same time for 10 seconds
Then hold down the Home Button for 5 seconds or until the Apple Logo appears
If that does not power on your iPhone, then try connecting the phone to your personal computer with iTunes installed.

Well, you downloaded a bootleg copy of iOS 7 beta and have installed it on your phone without being a developer. It has bricked your phone and you cannot get help here because doing what you did has voided your warranty. Have a nice day.

  • Iphone 4 will not start up...the apple icon comes on and then goes off and then comes on and goes off again continuously....any ideas?

    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
    2. If that doesn't solve it, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Using this article will erase everything on the device, so make sure you have a backup!
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
    Good luck

  • My iPhone 4 will not start what can i do

My iphone 4 will not start any suggestions

Hold down the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.  After that you can let go.  You may have to restore your phone depending on the extent of the damage.

  • Iphone 3gs will not turn on or charge, iphone 3gs will not turn on or charge

Was working ok but has gone off & wont connect to the computer either

  • Iphone 4S stopped working when fully charged and it will not turn on. what should i try?

My brand new, fully charged, working for nearly 2 days iPhone 4S suddenly stopped working and will not turn on. I've tried recharging and it's unresponsive. What should I try to do?

I've had a similar thing happen to my new iPhone 4S three times. It gets hot and doesn't respond to either button -- the screen remains completely off. I have to hold down both buttons for awhile until the Apple appears and then everything seems fine... until it happens again. Once it happened overnight, so I missed  my alarms. Another time, it was while I was at dinner.
Always it happens when the iPhone is on standby with the screen off and nothing particular happening with it. The iPhone 4S is brand new, hasn't been dropped, hasn't been messed with in any way.
Is there a way I can get a trace of what happened before I reset it? The system log (visible in "System Status" and other apps) starts with the reset, so it doesn't help here.

  • Updated my iPhone 4, fully charged and it will not turn on or do anything. HELP!

It was fully charged, update took less than 5 minutes- it rebooted and then nothing.  DEAD!  Nothing!
I have tried to reset it with holding down the home button and power keys....again nothing.
    PLEASE HELP!

Try to hold the Home & Wake/Sleep button simultaneous until the device restarts itself.

  • HT201210 Iphone 4 will not start

I  turned off my Iphone 4 (or so I thought) and now it will not restart?  I plugged into a charger for 30 minutes or so and still see nothing on the screen.  I plugged it into my laptop and the phone is not showing as attached to the computer although ITunes popped up.  I checked the cable with my Ipad and it appeared normal.  The phone is currently attached to the laptop

Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears.

  • My Ipod stays Fully Charged So it will not Connect to Computer...

You would think an Ipod that is always fully charged is good! but it is not, it wont connect to the computer because it is "Fully Charged" and will never fully turn off because it is "Fully Charged". So it just sits there and goes "I am Fully Charged". I made it play videos for about 2 to 3 hours but it claimed it was still "Fully Charged". How can i get it to connect to my computer? How can i fix it so it shows me my actual battery life!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
It shows this when you connect it to your computer?
Have you tried resetting the iPod while it is attached to the computer?
    Resetting iPod
Also, have you tried a different USB port?
    Finally, try this...
iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes for Windows

  • Battery issue - iphone 4S will not start

I can't start my iphone 4S due to battery which will not reload. I have used different USB cables, trying to recharge the battery via my computor as well and nothing works.
Is there any way of starting the iphone?
I don't want l loose all my pictures and data...by sending my phone back and just get a new one...

Why would you lose pictures and data?  You've been importing your photos off the phone ASAP after taking them, and backing up your iPhone's data regularly, haven't you?
If not, and you can't get your phone to turn on to connect to iTunes, you've learned a very important lesson.

  • Recently, my iPhone 4 will not start syncing.

I ran the restore, which erased my content on the phone and, without being able to sync, the phone will not restore my content from my source computer (MacBook Pro).   Any help?

  • IPhone 4 will not start

I took my iPhone 4 to Apple the other day because it froze during a software update.  Unfortunately, I had to complete a factory reset and lost all of my data.  While I was in Apple, the Genus explained to me that my hardware was fine,  and my phone would no longer work.  After this discussion, I went home and completed the factory reset, and was able to get to the screen that requires Carrier information to be entered, which made me think the phone was in full working condition.  I was wrong.  The phone will not turn back on after it has been turned off.  I can go through the factory reset process again and get the phone back to the "carrier information" screen.  Any ideas how I can fix this iPhone 4?

Well, short of going through every app you have downloaded, and asking about your SIM card (whether it is associated with a specific carrier, was the original SIM, etc.), it would be fairly impossible for any of us (Apple users) to contradict or amend the advice given to you from an Apple representative at the Genius Bar.  She obviously had some reason to suspect an irregularity.  I can't say for sure what that irregularity is, but the behavior you're describing sounds consistent with an irregularity having occurred, and would not be curable.
    Sorry for the bad news.
