Since you say you cant see the back up in iTunes you should be able to see it when following the last step where it says for iTunes 10.7 or earlier. Dont worry as this step also works for iTunes 11. -

Oh my, that's bad. I've never heard of one of those popups coming back after quitting or force quitting the browser. Try emptying the cache and cookies as well as the history.

How can I get my music off my iPhone and into the iTunes library?
My computer broke down a long time ago and I lost all my music, the only place I have any of it now is on my iPhone. None of my songs were purchases. I haven't updated my phone since I got it a year ago, I deleted and backed up everything on my phone except for my music because I can find no way how, and I still don't have enough space to update. Some of the songs I have on there, I can't get back if I delete now, not anywhere. Why is there not a simple, built in way to back up music??? This has been driving me insane forever, I really just want to get my music back into iTunes again, or get it onto the computer I'm currently using, somewhere, anywhere, at this point. Is there any way to do this without downloading some program that you have to pay for to get to work?

How can I get my photos off my iPhone 3 eventhough I don't have a sim card any longer?
I have an old iphone (pre iphone 4) and moved to Sweden. I want to get my photos off the phone, but no longer have any Sim card of any kind. Is there any kind of workflow or solution I can try to get them to my MacBook Pro? (My itunes says it can't read the phone without a sim). Any help would be much appreciated!!! Even if I could use my wi-fi to access the device? or blue-tooth??
I know the photos are on the phone, I can see all 915 of them. Itunes can now see the phone, but I'm afraid to update or sync with the phone as I believe it will delete the photos off my phone. I used to be able to get the photos off using Image capture, but Image capture no longer see my phone in the device list. That was my problem before I moved to sweden and chucked the sim. I used to mail the pictures to myself, but now that obviously doesn't work. I have image capture 6.1 and read on wikipedia there is a 6.2 but I can not for the life of me find it anywhere. Isn't there some app that should be able to transfer the photos over? I have iphoto and aperture, but they don't see the device either (using OS 10.6.8 on my macbook pro btw). These pictures are of my daughter, I just can't bear not getting my hands on them. Help!

How can I get my old off plan iphone unlocked?
My sister used to use this phone on AT&T, and I have only recently begun using it with Straight Talk mobil (straighttalksim.com) and would like to have the phone unlocked. Since I've never been an AT&T customer and she's not even sure she ever had a log in to her AT&T account (not technically saavy) I called AT&T, who directed me to StraightTalk who directed me to Apple.
Can anyone please help or am I stuck with a non-contract, AT&T locekd iPhone that I could really use more efficiently if it were unlocked ?

- Matt from VermontI tried that and when I gave them the phone's current number they directed me to StraightTalk. (They didn't ask for my IMEI) Ergo my confusion. I'm expecting that I'm stuffed and really don't want to have a jailbreak done to the phone. I'd rather it be a clean unlock.
Maybe it's time for another call to AT&T.

How can I get stored photos off of iphone 5c without backing them up to a computer?
My son has a 16g 5c and his photos use almost 12g of storage. Can these photos be backed up in iCloud? Do they still count towards storage on the phone if they can be backed up to iCloud?
He doesn't want to back them up to our home pc.There are several options.

Not possible. Safari won't download and save a Zip file. You either had to use a 3rd party app, or as wjosten suggests, your phone is jailbroken. If the former, you'll need to use that app to find it. If the latter, you'll have to look elsewhere for assistance.

It sounds like you are not able to use the dictation feature of iOS 8, becuase the microphone icon is missing. It seems to me like Siri may be turned off, which would cause the icon to not be there:
Siri settings - iPhone
To set options for Siri, go to Settings > General > Siri. Options include:
Turning Siri on or off
That should get the dictation feature back for you.

I have a Mac Pro OS 10.7.5 and have a DVD+R disc with files on it, but it ejects the disk after about 10 seconds--what to do? How can I get the data off this disc? I can see it has been already burned, so files are on there?
Try cleaning the lens and see if that will restore functionality to the DVD drive. Use a DVD lens cleaning disk, if you have a can of compressed air, shoot some into the slot or wrap a fine microfiber cloth (eyeglasses cleaning cloth) around a business card and insert it gently inside the slot.
If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and get a free diagnosis from them.
