When I did that, my iMessage between my iPhone and iPad are no longer synced. No matter how many times I went to settings, messages and adjusted it, my iPad and iPhone recognize when I send a message out but not when I received a message from another IMessage user to my iPhone. My iPad simply doesn't get those messages. HELP!!!!

If it's corrupt, generally it would be lost.
However, there is third-party software out there that can retrieve some of the data, those of which however I could not recommend as I have never done so myself.
Also, if the old 4S was running a more recent software version than the current 4S, that may cause the issue however usually iTunes tells you exactly that.

Hello, I brought an iphone5 several weeks ago from a friend and I've heard that the iPhone 5 from verizon is already unlocked. I would like to connect it with T-mobile. Im thinking of updating the iphone to the new IOS 7 but will that interfere with it being unlocked? How do I know for sure it is unlock ? Also can I do the unlocking by myself through itunes or would I have to find some kind of software to unlock it? Oh, also is it true that when you switch to T-mobile you are not able to send or receive pictures messaging? Sorry for asking a lot of questions.

What you need to understand first is that the Verizon iPhone is a CDMA phone and does not require a sim card to work on the Verizon network. Yes the phone is unlocked, but only the GSM part of the phone is unlocked so that you can insert local sim cards when you travel.
Unfortunately, if you want to use this phone in the US, you WILL NOT be able to use it on T-Mobile, as being a Verizon phone it will only connect with the Verizon CDMA network. If you want to use the phone in the US, then you'll have to use it on the Verizon network.
If you want to use T-Mobile, then perhaps think about selling this phone and buying a new phone that is unlocked and a GSM phone so that you can use it with T-Mobile without problems.

You can set up MobileMe as a regular IMAP account and specify the "from" address that way; however, your emails will show as "From [email protected] on behalf of Your Name" in the recipient's inbox. I think it kind of defeats the purpose of sending from an alias if it's just going to display your user ID.

Unfortunately the iPhone does not support Bluetooth File Transfer so it cannot be done.
The easiest way is to e-mail it to yourself. AT home on Wi-Fi this would be far faster than using Bluetooth that only has a 700Kbps speed
