HT4528 I downloaded a text tone yesterday and it has stopped working now .Any ideas or help me make it work?
I bought a text tone last for .99 of the itunes store. It worked fine last night and now it wont work and when I recieve a text now its silent so I have no idea I got one unless I look. Any ideas as to why this happened or how I can fix it??

Which OS X is installed on your Mac ?
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac. The version is noted there.
Troubleshooting advice can depend on that information. -

My iGoogle homepage is not showing any gadgets but they are there in IE. If I restart with AddOns disabled they are shown. I have disabled all AddOns separately and it has made no difference.Any ideas?I found that the culprit was Adblockplus. To solve it : ABP>drop down menu>Report issue on this page>click bullet blocking too much and follow steps.

i have a macbook pro and need to send a password protected document to a pc based computer and it shows up at the other end as corrupted and they can't open it- any suggestions on how to make it work?

I like to use airdrop occasionally to transfer a photo quickly from my iPhone 5s to my iMac running Yosemite. Until today, I could do this easily. Now my iMac no longer appears as an Airdrop client and I don't see any Airdrop item in my iMac Finder. Any idea where it went?
I could see my iPhone from the iMac, just not the other way around. And both devices are on the same network. But your suggestions reminded me that I have been fooling around with my networks after adding a range extender to my router. So, even though both devices were on the same network, I tried restarting the iPhone and the iMac reappeared as an Airdrop client. Go figure. Thanks for your help!

Bought an Apple Airport Extreme used and it did not come with any discs. Do i need any discs? or is there another way to setup this airport without using a software disc?
You can download the setup manual and software that you need.
Look on the bottom of the AirPort Extreme for the Model Number. It's A....... something.
Post back with the model number and the exact operating system you are running on your Mac or PC. -

This happened to me a few times. Take the case off and sit down, give it (Back side of ipad) a hard smack on your thigh, but do it in a way that the back lands flat on your leg. There are some component cables that can come loose and this smacking motion can cause them to go back into place.

Just updated OS X to latest 10.7.5 and I am using Minecraft 1.3.2.
After loading software Minecraft screen is like being in an earthquake jittering up and down while the character will not move out of its existing square. I can use tools but not move.
Anyone any similar experience or solution?
ThanksThanks Tom. Whilst their site did not resolve the issue you did make me think about creating a New World in Minecraft. This created fine and does not exhibit the problems. I guess the last game is just corrupt and not an OS X issue and is just a coincidence.

Doublechecking ... in your system specs it says:
Mac OS X (10.6.5)
If you're already running Snow Leopard, try updating your Snow Leopard to 10.6.8.
Can you install the 10.6.8 update using the .dmg installer available from the following page?

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but nothing happens. When I try to open the app, it either crashes immediately or asks me for my iTunes password and the the app does nothing or crashes. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Also, it seems that my phone asks me for my iTunes password randomly, when I'm not trying to open apps.
The app that I have the most problem with is the Simpsons game. I've tried to contact EA as well as apple and gotten nowhere.
Please help if you have knowledge of what to do

I have late 2009 27" iMac. Anyone managed to get anywhere with this? Apple article says to just check the format of the drive I'm using... I've done everything exactly as it should be.I had the same problem, you have to format your usb device on the same machine. Well, it worked for me.

He told you Google for an answer. You will end up having to use iTunes to sync them to the phone anyway. There are a number of websites out there that offer free ringtones, or you can upload a short piece of music to their site and they will convert for you. As mentioned, Google free iPhone ringtones, you will be inundated with sites.

I have a iPad 2 I brought it yesterday and it has an update for iOS 6.1 but it won't let me download it. It keeps saying your no longer connected to the Internet but I'm connected to my wifi. Can you help please
Hi Blueandpink,
If you are running iOS 4, you will need to update the iPad via iTunes on your computer (can't do OTA updates unless you have iOS 5 or higher).
If you have a first generation iPad, unfortunately you won't be able to update to iOS 6 (iOS 5 is the highest you can update to on the original iPad).
If you are on an iPad 2, 3, or 4th generation with iOS 5 and it still isn't working, try holding down on both the Sleep AND Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds (ignore the red slider button). Keep holding it until the Apple Logo appears. When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of the buttons. This “reset” fixes a lot of iPad issues and might work to resolve the update issue. Try updating again.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
