There must be a problem with the app store right now as a number of people seem to be having this problem right now. Try purchasing it using iTunes on your computer, accept the terms and conditions there, then either sync it to your phone or download it on your phone as a past purchase (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

I just synced the iPad Mini. then installed ios7.04. After 10 hour installation found that iTunes was frozen, and ipad required to be connected to itunes!restarted computer, reconnected ipad Mini. Now "ipad detected in recovery mode, restore" Click on "OK" and the only usable default left is reset factory settings. Does that mean i have to go through the whole rigmarole again?
Unfortunately yes it does. You might want to temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software and that may speed up the process. However, you have to restore the iPad again, if it is in recovery mode.

I was researching information for a class and I clicked on a website that said that all of my files had been encrypted. A popup appeared and asked if I wanted to leave the page but when I tried to, it would let me. I had to force quit Safari in order to do so. How do I know if this is a real problem or not?
It's a JavaScript scam that only affects your web browser, and only temporarily.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
3. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. From the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize. -

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

Hi my iPhone 4 won't turn on . When plugged in on several different chargers the following happens . Blank screen then apple sign for a short period then it buzzes and goes blank. Have tried power button and home button but no change ,When connected to mac get message that phone is in recovery mode and that i must restore this phone before it can be used with iTunes . Is this my last resort as I have some photoessays I don't want to loose.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. fter updating my IOS TO 8.1 (12B411) on 10/23/14, I went to update my blood sugar level in the IHealth app. And now after the new IOS update I'm unable to find the blood glucose option in the IHealth app. Did Apple remove it or just mess up AGAIN?
Apple removed blood glucose until further notice. The reason behind this is that it gave a distorted picture in countries where the medical world used other measuring units. I suspect it will be available again in a future update.

HT1535 I am trying to manually manage apps on my new iPad.
I am trying to manually manage apps on my new iPad 3. My daughter has over 500 apps on her iPad. We share an iTunes login id. Her apps are getting loaded on my iPad and are in "waiting" status. I deleted them numerous times, but they appear as "installing" in purchases in app store.
I want to be able to download a very small subset of the apps from my daughters iPad to mine, but many are stuck in the "installing" state. I now have iTunes on my desktop set to manually manage my apps (sync apps is unchecked) but when I first plugged my iPad into the desktop via USB, I think iTunes automatically synced al of my daughter's apps to my iPad.

If yes, this issue occurs if one or more of the following conditions are true:
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has an SMTP address that's the same as the SMTP address of the object that's reporting the problem.
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has a mail attribute that's identical to the object that's reporting the problem.

I followed the instructions for the uninstall as found on the website, but all of the software except for iTunes uninstalled successfully. Now it won't uninstall and the updated version won't instal either and I have no idea what to do. I'm very frustrated at this point as I've tried everything on the support website.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
